My visit today was great. Friendly staff. I will definitely try to add more when the dilation wears off.

Goodness, I tell you what, most of my reviews these days are bad reviews. I work in customer service myself and not to toot my own horn or anything, but I’d say we have some damn high quality CS compared to other businesses these days. So I went to visual eyes over the winter, it was snowy out and I had off work, so I figured I’d find an eye doctor to to go so I could renew my contacts. I found visual eyes was the only place that could take me that day. It had been over a year since my last exam so instead of just renewing my contacts I had to do the whole Shabang and get the exam done again. Let me start off by re-stating that it was a SNOWYDAY. I was literally 5 minutes late because of it. So I come in and immediately start filling out paperwork, the doctor comes out and says that since I was late we are running off schedule and had to go back to get the exam done immediately so it wouldn’t interfere with the next appointment she had. When I had called them previously and explained the traffic was bad they said I had a 15 minute window, but I arrived I was only five minutes late. So the eye doctor pulls me into the back as I’m filling out my paperwork and starts the exam, this is after I had given my insurance card and ID to the front desk representatives. She puts this I drop thing in my eye, and immediately I felt really weird I kept blinking my eyes turned so red and every time I blink I couldn’t stop blinking it was like 50 blinks for one normal blink. well I started to worry myself and freak myself out I told her I didn’t feel normal and asked her if that was a common side effect she said that my eyes were very very red and she wasn’t sure why so of course I’m freaking out at this point because she said that it never happened before. So I’m walking around wiping my eyes with a tissue waiting for that feeling to go away which it did about five minutes later, then we finished up the exam in total it took no more than 15 minutes the entire process. Everything was very rushed and I didn’t have any time for questions or anything like that, keep in mind this entire time nobody else is in the waiting room so I don’t know what other appointment she could’ve been talking about especially since they were the only I doctor in Frederick that had space for me on that day. I wonder why. So here’s the good part, she gives me a free trial pair of contacts and since I was worried after the whole issue with the eyedrops she said it would be best to come back on another day to finalize the exam and get my eyes dilated and all this stuff. So I go out to the front desk to pay my co-pay, and what do you know? Oh we actually don’t accept your insurance. I went back and forth with them, they should’ve ran my insurance FIRST! That’s how every other place does it?! So they said you’re right our mistake we’ll take care of it and you’ll never hear from us again k thanks bye. 2 months later Got a 120 $ bill in the mail. My fiancé called on my behalf because he intimidating and takes care of all issues like that for me. The woman claimed they fired the guy who did that. Who knows. The woman he spoke with though handled it well, continued to follow up with us and sorted the whole thing out. A+ on her customer service and an f– on everyone else. She sent us an updated version of the invoice, $ 00.00 I win.
