I was a little worried especially bringing the picky wife and kids along, but the gyro was one of the best I have had in the states. Not exactly fast food but the people are very friendly. The amount of food you get is more than expected. Definitely recommend you try it out. Oh and even the wife and kids liked it.

My husband and I went here for a late lunch. The food was delicious! We haven’t had a decent Persian restaurant since Taste of Kabob closed in Stafford. We both ordered our usual dishes, Kabob Kubideh platter and Chicken kabob meal. Both dishes were cooked to perfection with surprising twists do to the restaurant being Persian/Afghan cuisine. When you order the meal you get a salad, two types of rice, and a side. The dressing for the salad was amazing. You better like some heat though because it has a kick. The yogurt sauce was traditional with hints of dill and other middle eastern spices. I really enjoyed my side of lentils. They had an almost Indian taste to them. If your in the mood for Persian kabobs fused with Afghan cuisine then I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Great and authentic food. Even the bread is correct. No pita substitute. I was too excited to take a picture of the food. It’s been so long since I have had the real deal. Check it out.

I ordered the chicken kebab platter(chicken kebab stick, salad and bread) and was served quickly. First glance is a hmmm, is that chicken yellow? The platter arrives with a salad and chicken on top and bread served on side with two dressings for you to douse on foods as you please. The chicken is yellow with lots of seasoning. The salad is huge and has cucumbers, cabbage, tomatoes, and onions. I was hoping for feta. The dressing is good and is served on side. The actual chicken was partly lean with a few fatty bits so I stopped eating after a six bites because that sensation freaks me out. The bread is crispy. I ate this because I love carbs. It’s self serve and looks relatively clean. I am little confused why they ask for tips when we order at the counter, pick up at the counter and clean up. Disagree.

Yum! Just what we needed! My family has been in a rut of boring take out. We needed something different and decided to try this place. We are so glad we did! We had the beef kabobs and the chicken kabobs. Both were super flavorful and very tender! The rice was well cooked and the naan was fresh. The chutney and tzaki sauce were refreshing! This review is for a delivery order so we are excited to experience dining in. Definitely going to have this again.

I haven’t had food this fresh and tasty since my deployment in’07-’08. I’ve seen this restaurant before and had wondered if they had good food, since I really hadn’t seen any big gatherings the few times I’ve been in the area. After reading the reviews on Unilocal,my daughter and I decided to give it a try. The Chicken Kabob meal, was amazingly juice and tender with the lentils(came recommend by some other Unilocalers) and my daughter had the Gyro which was«fantastic». She had the potato curry, which was ok, but good with the homemade Tandoori bread, which was sooo yummy. Sooo fluffy, chewy and crispy in all the right places!!! Oh my goodness, let’s not forget about the Tztatziki sauce… no words to describe. Except it’s been the best I’ve tasted so far in the US of A! Everything seemed to be made to order. The serving size was well worth the price! I’m praying that the left overs are even better!!! Thank God for leftovers! It was very hard not to commit gluttony with food that yummy! The owner was very nice. He let us sit down and enjoy our meals even though he was closing in 10 min. He told us «don’t worry, we still have a lot of cleaning to do. Don’t rush!» Very awesome experience. Will definitely be back again and recommend to others!

This has become my favorite place when I’m in the mood for kabob. I’ve eaten at many kabob places(they’re practically on every corner in NoVA) and this is the best in Fredericksburg let alone one of the best in the DC area IMO. The menu items are typical as to what you will find at a kabob place and the meats are always cooked properly. The décor is pretty nice for a kabob place which is a bonus since most of them are total hole-in-a-wall places. All in all, if you’re in the area and craving kabob you’d be foolish to waste your time elsewhere.

Very nice looking place. Very clean. It seems small from outside, but it is pretty big inside. The attitude of the owners and the staff is very friendly, and they seem to care about the quality of the food because they ask what do you think. I had a gyro with fries. The fries were perfect. crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The gyro’s bread and vegetables(tomato, lettuce, onions) were very fresh. The meat had a lot of flavor, but it was too cooked, therefore dry. Given that everything else was perfect, I will go back and give them another chance. Particularly because the kabob plates that the people next to me had looked really good.

Ordered take out from here and was very impressed. A coworker brings me similar home cooked items like the chickpeas, lentils and this place rivaled his! The kobeeda kabob was wonderful and flavored mildly but well. The potato curry is pure comfort food… can’t wait to enjoy and small bowl of that with warm naan when it gets chilly outside. Staff was warm and friendly, very clean restaurant

Place appears to be primarily for takeout. There is no table service and no ambiance. This is strictly a food review. Went for a Saturday lunch. The prices seemed a bit high but we decided to try it. I ordered the Gyro Sandwich and the other ordered the platter. They seemed to be basically the same, but presented differently. Either one would have been enough for us to share and we ended up taking home a bit. I would have preferred smaller portions and lower prices. Maybe lunch size and dinner size? Didn’t care for the French Fries that came with the meal. They were overly greasy and seemed to be made from reconstituted potatoes. Would like to see rice, or something else as an alternative. The Pita was fabulous and I would guess they make it themselves. The sandwich was tightly wrapped and did not fall apart. It could have used a bit more sauce on it. They gyro meat itself was tasty, if a bit salty. The salad had fresh greens and was a wonderful compliment. I would definitely go back or take out from there, but now I know 1 dish for 2 people. There is room for improvement in making this an actual restaurant and would love to see that happen.

Fantastic restaurant for Fredericksburg! I love stopping here for dinner and I’m so glad to have this option in town. The food is great, served hot, fresh, and quickly. The service is wonderful and I am always greeted with a smile. I tend to order the chicken kabob meal(meat, rice, salad) with a side of chickpeas. A+! The flavors are wonderful and the rice is never dried out like other establishments in the area. The restaurant is also very clean and welcoming! I hope they stay around for a long time.

I had the chicken kabob platter. It was excellent. Came with rice, salad and a side, plus fresh made naan bread. Everything was perfect. Will definitely return, many times.

Being married to a Persian man, I myself have become picky when it comes to middle eastern food. This place did not disappoint. The kobeeda was tender and tasty, and I watched the bread as it was rolled by hand and baked. I ordered a platter for lunch, and the price was right. The lady at the counter was so nice… She even had a conversation with my husband(who wasn’t with me) on my phone in Farsi. I look forward to returning with my family… especially my husband, who misses good, fresh Persian food.

Don’t get me wrong, this place has great food! And I’ll probably go back because it seems like Central Park is dominated by nothing but chains. But while my desire to support a small business is strong, I feel like there is some room for improvement. My biggest complaints are about the cost of the meal relative to the styrofoam serve wear on which it arrives. For a $ 15 entrée, could we spring for real plates? If you’re dining is, maybe make it feel like you’re not getting it to-go? Truly, the food is very good. The proteins were all cooked very well and had great flavor. But it just seemed strange that I was supposed to fish my own baklava from the depths of the drink fridge. And maybe some mild table service when we are the only ones in the place, rather than leaving trays at the front of the restaurant? I get it, it’s set up deli-style and that’s cool. But with two huge chains on either side, I think they could add some personal touches, especially as a newer business.

This is exactly what we’ve been lacking in Fredericksburg. A break from the chain restaurants that have overrun this town. I had the beef kabob and he had the chicken. The portions are huge, so come hungry. It came with rice, salad, bread and a side of your choice. I had curried chickpeas and my husband had lentils. Everything was delicious! They make the food right behind the counter, including the flat bread, in a tandoori oven. We will be back in a few days, because I want to try the baklava!

Chicken Kabob Platter is so so good! Very filling. Chicken itself is very juicy and love the fresh made naan. White sauce that comes on the side is very good, and made to a quite authentic Afghan recipe. Complimentary tea while you wait for your made to order meal seals the deal!!!

No complaints. Very large portion of the chicken kabob platter humbled me and my co-workers. By far the nicest and cleanest afghan restaurant in the Fburg area. Will definitely return.
