Excellent value! Clean and comfortable stay. We really enjoyed Matts flexibility. Close to shops and galleries but far enough away from the main drag that traffic noise noise was not a problem. If you are looking for a short stay and you’re on a tight budget, give it a try

There are quite a few places to stay at in Fredericksburg. Somehow, our bachelorette group ended up here for the weekend. In a former life, the building seemed to be a stone house. Now, it has been renovated into a one story building with 6 bedrooms, each with a private bath. I guess the pluses are that a small group could take over all 6 rooms, there are private baths, there is a private parking lot, free Wifi, and y’all could be as loud as you want. However, it is actually a corporate entity. You check in at the Econo Lodge across the street where you can also obtain towels for use of their pool. Also, that is why there is a continental breakfast available; it’s at the Econo Lodge. The décor is quite outdated and not necessarily in an old-school, home-y way. In room 2 where I spent the night, the toilet and bath are in a separate room and seemed old and rickety. If you need a place to sleep, it’s fine, comfy, and quiet enough. However, if you’re looking for a romantic getaway in a little B&B run by a couple living on-site and providing home-cooked breakfasts and insight into the local area, this is not the place.
