I’ve been looking for a new OBGYN and Dr Josephs was referred to me by a friend. I could not have been more impressed! Dr Josephs was kind, friendly and jovial! He thoroughly addressed all of my concerns. The office staff was efficient. I was even taken back on time!

Where do I begin? Dr. Josephs performed a c section for my breech baby (with a nuchal cord) who could not be delivered with a vaginal birth. My husband and I were at NOVA birthing Center until we discovered our daughter was frank breech at 38 weeks (two days before Christmas). At this point it was a mad dash to find a doctor and a hospital to perform a C-​section before I went in to labor (so we wouldn’t have to just show up in an ER). We were looking for a Doctor who do the closest thing to a gentle C-​section as possible. Dr. Joseph met me for the first time at 39 weeks. He has a wonderful bedside matter, was very patient, and answered all of our. questions, taking my case VERY late in the game. He literally handed me his phone and said — «here’s my calendar, what day would you like to have her?» Who does that?! He was also respectful that we were switching gears from a birthing center and was supportive of my midwives continued involvement (very important since Peggy from NOVA caught our baby’s tongue tie — but that’s another review). Also the staff at his office were amazing before & after the birth. The surgery could not have been smoother, taking about 11 minutes. He did the delayed cord clamping, and my husband was allowed to be with her while they checked her quickly. She was then brought to me immediately for skin on skin «kangaroo» care and breastfeed right in the OR! (Side note — per hospital policy the husband is not allowed in the OR until the spinal anesthesia, etc has been set up. The nurses did a great job and I was fine.) I should also mention we don’t live in Spotsy. We travelled from Fairfax to have our baby. And since Dr. Josephs is a VBAC we will see him in the future. «Lord willing» :)

After transferring from an ob-​gyn in DC, I didn’t expect much from my appointment. However, much to my surprise, the receptionist was extremely friendly and upbeat. The office appeared new, clean, and state of the art.
My husband and I spent hours at the office because we were having an ultrasound and are expecting twins. The office was actually closed when we left the exam room. However, the doctor took his time to answer all of our questions and address my many concerns.
Surprisingly, the nurse and other staff members were still there… waiting on us to leave… I’m sure. However, they were downright perky and friendly when scheduling our follow up appointment.
If you are looking for a new ob-​gyn, I would definitely give Dr. Josephs a try. He and his staff seem extremely knowledgable and caring.
