This is something fun to do locally but it’s probably not the best choice for a really special or romantic occasion unless you want to party along with smokers and a few loud drunks who talk about their Jerry Springer-type problems. The boat was pleasant. I enjoyed the peaceful river and trees scenery. Definately go during the summer when there’s more daylight hours and you can see the sunset on a dinner cruise. Sit upstairs so you don’t have to look through the windows. However, beware they allow smoking upstairs. Once the boat starts paddling it’s not so bad but there is still some smoke. Don’t lean on the wooden rail while boarding the boat because it’s not stable. The buffet food is well seasoned but don’t expect super fancy food. They had shrimp and samon that were just okay for me. Others seem to have loved it. I think they were appetizers because they were refridgerator cold. The veggies(green beans and carrots) were likely taken out of a can and not fresh because they were sitting in their canned juices. The chicken alfredo was my hubby and my top pick. Needed more chicken in it however. One desert option, which was carrot cake. It was moist and pretty good. Drinks are NOT included in the price. For $ 48 for a Saturday night dinner cruise, soft drinks, water, and juices should at least be included in my opinion. You’ll also be eating with paper plates and plastic silverware. So don’t expect fancy! There seem to be tip jars everywhere on the boat(we find that tacky). There were lots of tables with groups bigger than two and only a few that had seating just for two. If you don’t board early, you may have to sit next to others to share a table of four or sit downstairs. Music was live band and started off with 90’s music, which was good. Music got louder towards the end of the night. People started dancing during the last hour. They also brought out the disco flashing lights toward the end of the cruise. Kind of blinding from where my hubby was sitting, which was towards the back.
