This is a pretty winery with nice scenery and some good wine. The staff is not as knowledgeable as I am used to however. I am a better informed than average wine drinker but not by much. So I was disappointed that the lady pouring for us could not tell me how many times they use their barrels, if they use oak or steel for the whites, or a few other basic questions. Still good wine, don’t get me wrong, but I think they need to give their tasting room employees a crash course on wine.

Fell in love with the wines so much that we had to join their wine club so we could get regular shipments from them. Got the first shipment of 3 bottles and we love all 3 of the reds they shipped to us. That’s rare to love all the wines in a wine club shipment. So happy to know we can visit them at their Georgetown location since it is a bit closer to us.

Last weekend myself and a few friends went to a few vineyards in Fredericksburg, of the three we went to, Grape Creek takes the cake. Now everyone’s pallet is unique, but to me, this place highly outshined the two others in wine quality, amongst many other things. The whole experience was better. The place is huge, with very nice amenities(nice building, great patio, friendly staff, vineyard tours, wine club member exclusive seating, and of course, FABULOUS wine). The nice thing is, it is rather close to many other vineyard which makes it easy to try two or three in a short time span.

What a lovely spot! When we visited, there was live music, a nice breeze blowing and no one in the tasting room. It was also a Thursday afternoon so take that into consideration when you’re planning the trip(otherwise it might be crazy crowded.) They’ve got a large tasting room that will accommodate large groups. It could have more seating and a better sound situation(PA?) but for our group, we appreciated the roominess of the space. Weirdly, they tasted us on three wines we couldn’t buy out of six. Seemed kind of weird to taste us on those given everyone was kind of in buying mode. The property itself is gorgeous, with tables outside, little paths, a patio and of course the vineyards. I can easily imagine buying a bottle of wine here and enjoying a picnic on the patio(though i do think you’ll have to BYOfood.)

I visited Grape Creek in May. It was lovely, the weather was perfect, the wildflowers were still lingering from the late rainy season we had. The winery was excellent! The service was great, although it was very crowded, almost uncomfortably so. The location gets my four star rating, but the staff seemed overwhelmed, uninterested to help, although they appeared to be very knowledgeable in their selections, they just didn’t seem too interested in having a conversation that took up too much of their time. They also don’t work for tips, so why would they need to have any exceptional interaction?(disappointing) Also, seemed a bit over priced, but I still thoroughly enjoyed the experience! If you have a taste for fine wine, do yourself a favor and do the tasting at Grape Creek. They try to sell you on their«wine club» membership and it seems worth it at first, but the delivery is a bit cumbersome, and after doing the totals when your home and are sober, it’s not all that great of a deal. The outdoor patio is beautiful. The view is amazing. Try the«bellisimo» and the«cuvee blend,» you won’t be sorry! «Dixie» on the patio was a very pleasant employee. We loved her company. Definitely worth the visit, I don’t regret it one bit! But in the future, plan on spending quite a bit of money if you go! PS you get a Grape Creek wine glass with your tasting purchase!

Recently visited Grape Creek Vinyards for a birthday party. When you enter, they have a large tasting area setup on the long bag. The staff are very friendly and love to listen to your stories and joke around with you. Upstairs is the wine club members room. There were a fair amount of people up there on a Saturday evening enjoying themselves. The patio out back is great. There was live music on the Saturday we visited on. It’s a nice size area outside. We had a party of 10 — 15 people and it was a perfect space for all of us. As for the wine… I would highly recommend the Cabernet/Syrah red. I really enjoyed that wine. No strong aftertaste, but still had a distinct flavor. Impressed with my visit to this location. Would return.

Grape creek wines are always tasty. It is the friendly staff that gets the five stars. They are personable and knowledgeable. They make it worth driving from Austin.

We came on a Saturday and they place was packed! Luckily, we were with a «member» so we were able to buy a bottle of wine and go upstairs to the members only VIP room. The room was nice and big with a lot of comfy leather seats with coffee tables. It was well lit with natural night and had a great view of downtown. We enjoyed a bottle of their«Mosaic» blend. It was pricey, but the whole experience was worth it for our party of four.

Visited the Georgetown location it’s nice and the lady’s behind the counter were somewhat courteous but we seemed somewhat lost in translation. When ordering a suggested glass of house wine(chardonnay) then given the due amount for a moment I thought she mistakenly gave me the price for a carafe serving! Not bad if you don’t mind $ 9 for a glass of house wine, I’ll just stick with our local Spec’s.
