Stopped in for dinner last May. I did not have particularly high expectations, but even those weren’t met. The chicken tenders were bad, and those are usually pretty hard to mess up. Food was luke-warm. Service was fine.

Went here for Thanksgiving place was too hot and food selection was very limited and food was terrible to eat. Didn’t even have a real cooked turkey. Just some sliced processed turkey meat. Want good food then go someplace else. I’m never going back to this dump again.

The dinner buffet was excellent. Food was fresh and the vegetable choices were very good.

Ate there with the family. Even though this is not one of the larger shoney’s They had something for everyone. Great country cooking. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Hadn’t been to Shoneys in years and now I remember why. Terrible menu. Nothing healthy. WiFi didn’t work at this one. Slow service, but the staff were nice and the food was just okay.

Quickly seated, very personable staff and the food was delish! The kids loved the variety, I loved seeing some of my country breakfast favs that I would never take the time to cook. Great place for the family, and to fill up growing kids for a reasonable price!

Stopped in for breakfast. We chose the Buffett. It was pretty good. Fairly popular place with a steady breakfast to brunch crowd. 2 minute wait and we were at the table and eating. This is a very popular stop and I soon discovered why. The food was really great. I am always looking at my calories and this place allowed me to do that while away from home and eating out. I had eggs and sausage. It was served up to perfection.

It’s been 18 years since I’ve been to a shoneys, but fanned if it is as good as I remember. Best chain diner around. Love their breakfast menu/buffet.

Average American restaurant, but the saving grace was that even though they did not have gluten free on their allergies menu, they did a good job in working with me and getting me a meal I could eat.

I’ve only been to Shoney’s in 2 cities in WV and this restaurant is a big deal there. The buffet is large and the food is fresh. This location in Fredericksburg, VA, however, was a bit of a disappointment. There was a line to get to the buffet because of the poor layout. The food looked so-so. Not very fresh, but tasted ok. I would go back if I was in the area, but probably not during peak hours.

WORSTRESTAURANTEVER!!! Place is ghetto, food is mostly fried and dry. You can actually taste the tap in the water. Only plus is the free WiFi and service, waiter/waitresses are very nice and polite.

Twas staying at the Best Western right near by for the night per the Florida to CT drive w Gramps(R.I.P.) Torn on this place, walked in quite hungry, looked at the buffet with meat loaf, of course tasty looking fried chicken(still in the south for lil bit, an hour or so North and things start to get a lil normal again) and several tasty sides. Unfortunately, everyone besides me and my gramps in there was obese, so it turned me off to gettting the buffet and I decided to keep it healthy that nite, going with the Carolina(wasn’t I in Virginia?) Chicken Salad(grilled not fried, and vinagette instead of fatty ranch) Well all in all, it was a hearty and delicious salad,(chicken was good) for a reasonable price, but hmm, I noticed my waitress start to make my salad, with items near by from the salad bar, I just kind of chuckled as opposed to making a fuss, but that’s not too quality! In conclusion, this is your typical Southern place offering an okay buffet w tasty looking but very unhealthy food, and all the other factors equate to average at best.

Holy crap. Came here when I was house-hunting late one night, and this place is WORSE than the WORST Denny’s you’ve EVER been to. When our food was brought out, we were so disgusted with the personal hygiene habits of the wait staff and the sad state of the buffet food that we told our child not to eat it, and we got up and left to go to McDonald’s. Sadly, that was a step up culinary. NEVERAGAIN! Grade: F.

I had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and mac & cheese. I think all of that for dinner was around $ 6. Chicken fried steak was yummy. Mashed potatoes were just alright — it was smooth and I like mines lumpy. Nothing special about the mac & cheese. Fiancé had burger and fries and he was satisfied. They had a buffet dinner. I forget the price of it. I was tempted but wasn’t sure if the food would be good. Some items include fried chicken and mashed potatoes(probably where mines came from). The buffet dinner price was not advertised. I asked and it was under $ 10.

This restaurant is awful. It’s basically a buffet of warm, soft cholesterol. If you had any doubt about why America is fat and unhealthy, Shoney’s can resolve it. Not only is the food disgusting, but the place smells like an ashtray.

I love Shoney’s Breakfast Buffet, which is served here every day(prices higher on the weekends), a great start to a busy day. I stop at this Shoney’s when I’m visiting the area. The Breakfast Buffet has a good variety including pancakes, French toast sticks, sausage, bacon, hash browns, spicy rice, grits, biscuits, pepper milk gravy, eggs, cereal, salads, fruit bar with fresh fruit & salads, yogurt, and more. I get a bottomless coffee with my breakfast, and I’m good to go, under $ 10 per person.
