Vivere Catering

At various social functions in the Fredericksburg area, we had a chance to sample some of Kim’s creations and were very impressed. My wife and I were planning a party for 85 of our friends at a local winery tasting room, and Kim was the obvious choice. She helped us plan a «Paella and Wine» party, and was a pleasure to work with. Her pricing was very fair and in the end I think we even received more than originally promised. Her staff was efficient and she received many compliments from our guests. The paella was better than any I have had in Spain. Fried plantains and a great salad completed the main course. The appetizers she provided were wonderful, and our guests could watch the paella cook while drinking a glass of wine. We would not hesitate to use Vivere Catering again!

Rarely do I ever give 5 stars for a catering company because catering is so much more than the food. It’s about service, anticipating needs, returning calls, answering silly questions with a straight face and finally, about the food. From the meal planning, to the venue preparation Kim and her staff were spot on with a creative flair. But let’s get to the meat and potatoes., the food was embarrassingly good. I felt like I should have been charged more than I was for the spread we had. Her Prime Rib was a masterpiece, her stuffed chicken (which I requested) was not «stuffed» they were beautiful little chicken pillows with the filling generously peaking through then topped with an incredible light sauce. Her signature dessert, bread pudding with a salted caramel sauce was so scrumptious that my staff was getting «to go» boxes to take home extras! Never have I seen them pass up chocolate so fast! (Okay, if we’re telling the truth, the chocolate was all but gone…).
I can’t recommend Vivere Catering enough!!!
