Beautiful huge fields of Texas flowers. Came by to visit during the end of Bluebonnet season and I’m so glad we did. This is a great farm out in the Texas Hill Country. It’s free to walk through the gardens. Adorable kitties… and a ton of snails. They have a store as well a nursery that was fun to browse through. It’s not hard to spend a few hours here just walking around!

Definitely want to go back to try out the restaurant and buy some flowers but this place is beautiful. My family definitely had a nice time walking though the field of flowers! When we go back, I will definitely add to the review!

After getting off work, me and two of my coworkers went in to do an industry tasting at the winery on the property. The wine and service were amazing. When we went into the gift shop afterwards, we start looking around and I was about to buy a pair of earrings and possibly a shirt, all three of us are standing in that room and the lady working there comes in and goes«we’re closing». Before we could even respond, she shut the lights off in that room on us! While we were standing in there! They close at 6:00& It was 6:00 on the dot. No «hey we’re about to close guys just letting you know» or anything along those lines. Just shut the lights off on us. So rude. We all work in service industry. We know what it is like to want to get home. We stop accepting new customers into the building when it’s time to close, but wait around for our existing customers to wrap up their experience. We loved the atmosphere, wine, and our server, but we were all appalled at how rude the woman in the gift shop was to us!

A super spot for a relaxing walk — I would like to see some more signage about what we are looking at. Flowers, info, season etc. Butterfly garden was a bit disappointing as I did not see a butterfly ! Recommend getting wine and free samples from nearby shop to walk through the trail with :) Nursery is great and cats are a huge plus for me!

We come to Fredericksburg all the time, but never in the spring. Finally made it out here for the flowers and they were so amazing! So glad that we have discovered the Wildseed farms.

The most lovely and enchanting place I have been in the entire state of Texas. The fields of poppies and bluebonnets were so vivid they nearly blinded you with brilliant color, the grounds and trails are like walking in heaven, and I that gift shop is so massive and gorgeous – as well as the merchandise-it rivaled all the gift shops in downtown Fredericksburg.

Came a bit too early in the season(early March) for the wild flowers, but we were about to explore their shops, which were very nice. I bought a few envelopes of seeds for gifting, and we strolled around the outside and looked at the potted plants. Will try to come back a bit later for the flowers in bloom!

Please, please, please get rid of the wine vendor now residing in your very nice building towards the rear of your compound! The wine is overpriced and it is not very good. We were told by the owner that their wine is not distributed«by anyone but themselves so we can pass the saving on to the customer». What a joke! At $ 27+ tax per bottle average I am left to wonder just how much the bottle would have cost if a distributor got in between me(the buyer) and them(the maker). My wife and I spent $ 50 for one bottle of wine and approx. seven ounces of tastings. That equates to $ 1.66 per ounce. That would be equivalent to $ 20 for a 12 ounce beer. That is not going to work. We felt ripped off then and we still feel ripped off three days later. Please consider going back to draft beer and a more welcoming environment like you had in the past. Don’t rely so much on the current trend to make everything in or near Fredericksburg about only wine. Most of us would still prefer a nice, cold, low-alcohol beer to keep us going on a hot Texas afternoon. We all know that the wine setup that you currently offer is not going to be around for long. Maybe six months, maybe a year. So please begin making plans to re-secure your TABC permit as soon as possible.

This place was fabulous! Great selection of seeds, charming gift shop and wonderful paths to walk along to look at and enjoy native Texas wildflowers. There also seems to be a tasting room but we didn’t have a chance to give that a try. This is a great family friendly place and we hope to return.

We came to Wildseed Farms at a time of year where the wildflowers weren’t quite in bloom. However, this is a lovely stop along the vineyard highway. And much to our surprise, their wine tasting room had just opened up a few days ago. We opted for their Hill Country wine tasting. Every single wine that we tasted was lovely. In particular, their Wedding Oaks wine is delicious! Much better wine than the others we tasted at nearby wineries. Whether you want to buy beautiful flowers or herbs, view some beautiful landscape, or drink some delicious wine, this is a must-see location while you are in Fredericksburg.

This place is more beautiful than a lot of public parks. Huge area with lots of different plants. We went off-season with no flowers/blooms and it was still a pleasant experience. Will definitely be back in the spring.

Ok I know it is winter, so no plants, but no more beer either! No fun. They are opening a winery within the farm, and now have no beer.

Cute gift shop well known for their wildflower seed selection and quality. They also sell home décor and giftables which are on the pricey side but if you look you can find some items that you can’t really find just anywhere.

We are from Houston, so we decided to stop by on our way back from Fredericksburg. It was rainy so the weather was not on our side. However, we loved exploring and looking at the beautiful flowers. They have two small shops. One of them is more like a small market where they have various homemade jams, salsas, and etc. The other one was a small gift shop where they had souvenirs, a princess room(for us ladies), beautiful glassware, and wildflower seeds. Overall, great experience. The staff is friendly and you get amazing views. I would recommend coming during the summer when the flowers are blooming.

Lovely, large wildflower farm with plenty of space to locate a secluded spot, sit in the shade and eat lunch, etc. Just beautiful, and made for a lovely spring day out. Also well worth the(long) drive from Austin! This establishments knows what they’re doing, and takes care.

Wow, this place is white. I know I’m white and the entire 290 area is white, but this place was packed with an endless sea of pasty-faced, round, middle age, middle class white people. Not only was there no brown or black, there wasn’t even a tattoo, hipster beard, or cowboy hat in the entire place. Just a homogenous mass of people distinguished only by differing levels of obesity. And I was apparently way underdressed. What was I thinking going to a nursery wearing jeans and a t-shirt? The parking lot wasn’t quite as homogenous. There were 2 types of vehicles Lexuses and cross-overs. Can’t judge a place just on their clientele. But I’ll have to judge it on the few items we could actually see past the sea of round white people. And everything I saw was overpriced. Slightly better quality that what you can get at Garden Ridge(or whatever it’s been renamed to) and at least twice as expensive. They used to carry seeds(thus the name). I have no idea if they still do, as I didn’t see any. They have food and beverages in the back area now. Kudos for carrying local beer. Overpriced, of course. Might be a good place to grab an overpriced sandwich. Wildseed Farms still has beautiful flowers. It was worth stopping in just to see the flowers.

I am not a huge outdoor girl. I am more of an observer of beautiful outdoor spaces. I love nice paths, attractive vegetation, nonthreatening wildlife and insects. Don’t judge I know I am not the only one who loves the outdoors from a afar. If you are anything like me you will adore this expansive Wild Flower Farm. The perfect excuse to visit this place is when you are planning a trip to Fredericksburg. You have been warned make sure when you stop here you bring a camera and some comfortable shoes. . When the flowers are in bloom this place is nothing short of spectacular. The farm is very easy to navigate and makes for many great photo opportunities. Not only is it beautiful with all the amazing wild flowers it also has a cute store and basic snack bar. We were able to take advantage of the wine tasting from some local vineyards. We grabbed some cool drinks sat in the patio seating and enjoyed the beauty. Since this is a bit of a farm/store you are able to purchase seeds, rain water collectors, plants, gardening books planters, mugs, garden flags, wind chimes and many other garden décor items. My only regret is that I did not bring my teens to experience this place. This a great place to explore with family.
