Lalo’s Mexican Grill

This place opened up recently by my farm, and being a huge fan of Mexican food i decided to give it a try. I was amazed by the taste and quality of the food that lay before me! I usually get the chicken or steak fajita which is BIG as it is tasty. This place is a hidden gem in the area and i would recommend it to anybody. The staff is always helpful, and the drinks were always cold. I wouldn’t pay no mind to some of the other reviews, because I have never had a bad experience here.

Pretty darned authentic! New Years Day and no crowd. Pretty good food and better than you’d find in Farmington. Service was terrific — it had better be — only one other table was in use while we were there. Chips are thicker than we like but good anyway — salsa was warm but not too hot.
We visited here last September 11. Was good then too. We say if you want Mexican, stop here. Priced just right.

Food is adequate, but this low rating is because there was a spider in one of our drinks (tea) and we still had to pay for it. Didn’t expect a total comp, but should not have had to pay for the drink.

I hear this place just opened and wanted to try it out. I knew from the size of the town I should not expect much so I went in with an open mind. As we were seated the host handed us our menu. My menu was stained with salsa that was obviously spilled by the person who had the menu first. He asked what we wanted to drink and I could not find the drinks so I asked the host if he can point them out to me. He clearly saw the salsa all over my menu and did not bother to say anything about it. Once I saw the drinks I decided on a Sprite as it clearly states on the menu. The host then says to me. «We only have Sierra Mist». I thought that was funny. He walks away and I had to use my only napkin to clean my menu. While I was cleaning the menu our waiter comes to the table to take our drink order. He clearly sees me cleaning the menu and he does not offer me a cleaner menu. I of course said the host took our drink order. So then he walks away not even asking us if we were ready to order. So we continue to look at the food items. They seemed reasonably priced. We then ordered our food and the food came right out. Pretty fast but it was a ½ hour to closing so I’m going to assume that some of our items were already cooked and just needed a bit of heating up. As we ate our food it was decent. Nothing special. I still needed a napkin so I had to waive our waiter down to bring us some. I will try this place one more time. I will not go close to closing time though. Maybe a weekend. Until next time!

Okay, this place just opened this past week so went in and gave it a try. The food was good (nothing special). I have to say I am glad to see them take over the place after Cnco De Mayo’s closed. I will be going back and see how things are in a couple weeks after they have been open longer.
