If I am in this mall I always bring back a Greek chicken salad for me and my husband and a falafel platter for my son. Yes it does take longer, so you place your order and go to a store for ten minutes, when you come back it’s ready. Everything is made to order and very fresh, they use Romaine lettuce instead of cheap iceburg, lots of other vegetables, feta cheese and their own dressing, which is a type of vinegar/oil dressing with spices. The chicken is grilled with nothing on it, then sliced and placed on the salad. You also get a pita which is warmed on the grill. Tzadiki sauce is available upon request. It’s enough for two meals and will last if you don’t put the dressing on the portion you want to save. I have never been disappointed with the food, and would much rather wait for their fresh food, than the other choices in the mall. If you want something healthy but delicious, try this place!

I don’t understand how this place doesn’t have a higher review! It was my first time to the mall, and we found this place. There was a little bit of a line, but we didn’t wait long to order. The men were cooking away right in front of us, and the gentleman at the register was really nice. He let us know it’d be about 7 – 10 min wait, which it was, and it was worth it. We’d rather wait 10 minutes for REAL food than getting fast food garbage in 3−5minutes. The falafel came with lettuce, onion, and tomato, and the pita wrap was spot on. It came with cucumber sauce and tahini on the side, which was nice. We also ordered a Hummus Plate that had olives, 3 rings of red peppers, pita, and cucumbers! We had to get a box to take our leftovers home. It was a perfect end to a nice day out shopping. Make sure you tip them! They deserve it!

How this place only has a 3 star review blows my mind! This is a hidden gem in the mall! Fresh food to the max! It may take 10 minutes but that’s because they are cooking and putting together your meal right there! I ALWAYS get the grilled chicken platter. It’s so simple, never over seasoned, very fresh and DELICIOUS. It’s a lot of food for about 8⁄9 bucks! I never order drinks so I can’t comment on the«expensive drink» review… But everything else is reasonably priced! The owner is a super nice guy. I hate the mall but I’ve gone out of my way to JUST get take out there!

This is THE best place to eat at the Freehold Raceway Mall Food Court. All their food is made to order and is fresh and no processed like their surrounding eateries. I highly recommend their chicken kabob platter — it will run you about $ 10, but you get an amazing salad, two chicken kabob skewers that are so delicious, a side of white rice and really soft and flavorful pita bread too. Don’t make the mistake of not treating your mouth and body to healthy delicious food here! You won’t be sorry you spent an extra couple dollars and you won’t feel guilty after eating here either. I didn’t give it 5 stars because it is a bit overpriced and you do have to wait… But still worth it!

It’s unfortunate that this place only has two stars because it is truly not representative of my experience. My mom and I needed to fuel ourselves during our day of shopping so off to the food court we went. There were all of the usual food court options like Taco Bell and Panda Express but sometimes you just want a healthier option, ya know? The service here was just OK which is why I docked them a star. They really aren’t the friendliest here. They also put onions on my moms meal after she specifically asked for none. I ordered the traditional gyro with the works(tzatziki, lettuce, tomato and onion). My mom had the falafel pita which ended up coming with the works despite the request for no onions. You will certainly wait here longer than you’re used to because they are preparing your food fresh to order. That doesn’t bother me though, I prefer that to getting a scoop of food that’s been warming for hours behind the glass. They spend the time here warming the pita, cooking the meats and assembling every plate with their fresh ingredients. We were both happy with our lunch. We thought they tasted fresh and we didn’t feel bad after indulging. Nothing was heavy or weighed us down and we were able to spend the rest of the afternoon shopping without a stomach ache. I hope more people give this place a try.

Gyro platter is good; service is bad. Do NOT order drink, they charge an arm and a leg for it. The cashier does not like customers!

I walked around the entire food court starving, but not in the mood for anything greasy and gross. On loop #2 the sweet potato fries sign caught my eye so I stopped here. I ordered a chicken wrap on a whole wheat pita with the tzatziki sauce on the side along with an order of SPFs. I waited for a bit, but I rather wait than get that mystery meat chicken out of the tub. The sweet potato fries were thick and crispy and my wrap was refreshing and hit the spot. The typical food court experience has me searching for napkins to blot up the grease, but not here at Gyro Place.

Oh no! As a vegan, mall food courts are something I usually try to avoid. But upon browsing I see that this place has a section of their menu called«vegan pita and sandwiches» I thought that sounded perfect. I should have known better when they had«feta cheese pita pocket» on their«vegan» menu that something was up. Although the price on the menu says my pita was supposed to be $ 5.99 I was charged $ 10. And then I bit into my falafel to find it drenched in yogurt. NOTONEBITVEGAN! These people should not be advertising their food as vegan if they don’t know what it means! Yogurt and feta cheese ARENOTVEGAN.

Well the verdict! Not bad but not good either. Yeah if your in a need for a Gyro just happen to be in the Freehold mall then ok. But the flavor lacked the freshness of the veggies and the meat. All in all not again for me at least.
