SCAM! This is only my second review on Unilocal,but I felt compelled to share our experience with this company so that others will not be in the same position that we have found ourselves today. We were quoted $ 69 for Immediate Appliance Service to come out and diagnose the issue with our washing machine, which was off balance and making noise. What they didn’t tell us until we got the bill is that that $ 69 charge is just for them to walk in the door. The repair man had to take the front of our washer off in order to diagnose the problem(makes sense — how can you diagnose something you can’t see?), which was that the motor mounting brackets were hanging out of position. The repair man literally just pushed the brackets back into place and slightly bent the metal for it to stay there(a total of 2 minutes of labor), and for this we were charged an additional $ 66. Our total bill, everything included, was $ 144.45. I don’t understand how a company can charge that much of a fee for so little work. Their justification for the fee is that their work is guaranteed for 3 months. This was after the repair man said that he doesn’t think anything is wrong with the machine and doesn’t want to charge us the repair charge to fix it. We had previously used them to fix a broken timer and knob assembly on our dryer, and the bill for them to come out twice and actually do work was $ 286. At least I could understand why we were charged so much there — they actually did work and had to replace parts!!! I will never call this company again. What a way to lose customers!!!

Called them to look at our washing machine. They were able to come out the same or next day which was great. The technician that came out was very nice and professional. He took about 30 min with the machine and came out with a quote of $ 340.26. No details on the quote other than the«Noise Filter» needing replacement with a cost of $ 183 for the part. I had to agree to the repair(or not) on the spot. No time to talk it over with my husband or research if buying a replacement would be better. He needed and answer right then or I would get charged the service charge and he would go. With laundry piling up and feeling a bit under pressure I agreed to the service and they took a $ 100 deposit. He told me he would be back in a few days after ordering the part. Once I had the time to speak with my hubby, we researched the part needed. We found prices were more in the $ 40 range and not $ 183 range for a GE Noise filter… a pretty large discrepancy. I called and questioned this with them and was told they would look into it. They asked that I call back at 9am the next morning and they would see if they could give me a discount. After this interaction and talking more about it together we decided it would be best to just purchase a new machine instead. I called at 9AM as requested(why THEY couldn’t call me I don’t know…). I advised them we decided not to move forward with their service. There was no offer of returning the deposit… or even downgrading it to what the service charge would have been. All in all I didn’t get a good feeling from them. Their estimate was high and vague. I felt taken advantage of and pressured to make a decision without time to research or think about my options. I will not be using them for future appliance issues if we have any. I would not recommend them.

Quick to respond, but watch out for crazy high repair quote. When the tech quoted me a repair for basically what it would cost to replace the appliance with a new one, I paid the service fee and moved on. Call to this repair company was a total waste of time and money.
