I should’ve trusted Unilocal’s 2 star rating, but I was lured in by my happy childhood memories of their Orange flavored chicken. I ordered a bowl with brown rice and Orange flavored chicken that cost $ 6.20 after tax. I agree with a previous reviewer that said the food was not piping hot. In addition the chicken was too hard and had an unpleasant after taste. I didn’t even finish the bowl, which is sad since I hate waste. I’m hoping other Panda Expresses are still good, but this one destroyed my childhood memories.

Panda Express is a fast service Chinese eatery located in the Freehold Raceway Mall food court. I’ve eaten at various Panda Express locations around the country and found the quality of the food here to be pretty decent and priced fairly.
While shopping at the mall, I took a meal break at Panda Express. I got the Create Your Plate (Choose 1 Side/Choose 3 entrees) — I chose Vegetable Fried Rice, Kung Pao Chicken, Lemon Pepper Chicken, and Beef & Broccoli. The meats & vegetables were all very soft to eat and the food in general was not piping hot, just above lukewarm. The Kung Pao Chicken with peanuts was very spicy and quite good. The Lemon Pepper Chicken and the Beef & Broccoli were fairly standard Americanized Chinese dishes. The service at this location was very prompt.
