During the Thanksgiving’s, a friend of mine brought Cherry Pie from Wemrock Orchards, I normally don’t like anything that is Cherry flavours, but the Cheery Pie from Wemrock Orchards just changed it!!! I love it soooooo much that I asked my friends to pick up more pies for me and they got me Apple Pie, Blueberry Pie and Pecan Pie. I love every single of them and could have finished the Blueberry Pie in 2 days on my own. They were sweet but not too much and the crust was a bit chewing yet crunch. They were perfect! I absolutely loved the pies from here and just wished that they were not so far away from me!

For every one of the past 19 years I have with pleasure driven(70 miles each way) all the way from Scarsdale in Westchester County, NY to Wemrock Orchards to purchase their Thanksgiving pies. These pies in our family’s opinion are the best pies in the North East, actually may rank as some of the best Apple and Pecan pies in the country. The faculty and staff at Edgemont Jr. Sr High School have had their favorites all these years and we have been blessed to be able to share these pies with them. It has become a tradition to sit down at our Thanksgiving dinner and enjoy these pies with those we love. Thank you to the staff at Wemrock for the incredible effort and love they bake into each and every pie. Mrinal Jhangiani Scarsdale, NY

Got a peach pie and an apple pie, not great, filling was really over cooked on both pies just mush, I prefer the fruit to be tender not mush .When I buy a freshly baked pie I expect it to be better than a pie bought from a super market .I’ve had better cinnamon apples at Boston Market

Nice relaxing day corn maze was cool, pumpkin selection should’ve been better. I had a great time with my family here. The general stores pies could not be fresher, right off the oven rack. The peach, and cherry butters are awesome. The general store I would say is the best part here… Stay off the picnic benches!

Awesome baked goods selection Their berry peach cream pie was amazing The fresh made apple donuts are dynamite The store has a nice selection of vegetables and specialty items Prices are reasonable approx $ 10 a pie especially when you consider the quality There is a small winery there which adds to the charm

I’ve been going to Wemrock Orchards for years. I get their Blueberry crumb pie and oatmeal raisin cookies I was just there today to get a pie, and a women raved over their crumb cake. I’ll try one next time. Very good. I’m a dessert snob, so I only go back if it’s really good. I had a problem there years ago with a coconut custard pie which tasted burnt because they had a oven problem. They rectified the problem and gave me a free pie and still didn’t like it. I’ve been to Battleground Orchards. I had the worst blueberry tart, it had so much gelatin that it would wiggle. Battleground does have very good scones, if anyone is a scone fan.

Overcooked, dry, and crumbly are not the words I like to use to describe chocolate chip crumb cake. I just bought the worst cake… ever. The donuts are ok and so is the cider but I do not like that they include preservatives in their cider. Both the donuts and fresh cider(no preservatives) are much better at Delicious Orchards. I’ll continue to travel the extra distance to DO in the future.

Enjoyed the wine tasting room. I’ve had better donuts though. I’d like to go back & give it another shot, but the shop was pretty small. They did have some cute painted pumpkins though.

I was quite unimpressed with the store here. From the outside, it looks very nice. The signs say«cider» and«donuts» and all sorts of other things. It looks nice and homey. But it is less a «come in and have a fall snack with us» type place and more a «come in and give us your money and take your snack somewhere else» kind of place. We wanted cider donuts for 4, but they don’t sell individual donuts, so we had to buy a bag of six. They were good, but now I’m stuck with two extra donuts I didn’t want or need. And we wanted to get some cider, but they don’t sell cider(their own cider!) by the cup, like they do coffee. You have to buy a bottle from the cooler. So I was happy to buy the half gallon from the cooler and asked for cups. I was offered tiny little dixie cups, or told I could pay for the larger cups they serve coffee in, $ .25 each. Not that that is a lot, but the point is that I am buying YOUR overpriced cider and it would be nice if you could give me a cup that is bigger than what I use for mouthwash. Overall, I just felt that the staff was not all that helpful or friendly and just wanted to nickel and dime me for everything. Maybe my standards are too high, but I don’t think so. There are plenty of apple orchards all across New England, and other parts of the country, that offer a much nicer fall experience, with more personable staff. I don’t anticipate returning.

Went the general store on a summer Sunday afternoon after a trip to nearby Monmouth Battlefields. Looks and smells like a country store… fresh pies, all natural soups and other goodies. Nothing is cheap, but everything I tasted was delish: blueberry peach cream pie, tomato soup, spinach and chicken orzo soup, salsa dip, and vinaigrettes. For my tastes, the blueberry crumble pie at Battleview was better, but blueberry peach pie from Wemrock was really good, too. I think I have to go back to both stores to sample more pies to declare a clear winner :) Planted the 3 kids with their ice cream cones(kinda pricey at $ 4 for 2 smallish scoops) at the café. Hubbie and I went to the Tomasello Winery retail shop(separated by a glass pane wall from the café, but still an arms length away) to try their tasting($ 5/person for 5 tastings with a free wineglass.) The wine lady was very sweet, generous, and knowledgeable. There were quite a wine variety available. We are NOT wine snobs and lean towards sweeter wines. We were surprised to find we liked most of the wines we tried and ended up buying 5⁄6 bottles including a yummy ice wine. We will definitely be back again.

Though I probably pass this place a dozen times a week, I have not been in for at least 10 years! Well today, that streak ended. I really do love the feel of this store. It feels like an old farmhouse and even has that old smell mixed with the scent from the bakery. Yankee should make this one of their candle scents!!! They have quite a few baked goods. Pies, donuts etc… Lots of jarred items like dressings, salsa, pickles honey. There is a candy shop in one room. They sell hard ice cream. You can grab a cup of coffee. Let’s not forget… WINE!!! They are a showroom for Tomasello Winery. You can do a tasting there if you’d like. A selection of fruits and vegetables. While not a huge amount of any one type of item, a little bit of everything like you’d find in an old general store. They may have their hands full with what I think is the best pie around over at Battleview, but this is a cool little place with a feel that the others all lack.

I’ve been coming here for years, and always get their apple cider and apple cider donuts whenever I’m in town. I’ll have to admit I don’t usually get their pies or other baked goods, but they often have samples and the few I’ve tried all tasted great. They also have a lot of local products that I occasionally pick up, and great customer service — everyone is friendly and warm.

Went today for the first time — WOW — better prices than Delicious Orcahrds — same great quality items. Apple cider, pumpkin pies, and donuts all for sampling were delicious — staff is very friendly and accommodating. HUGE bonus: Tomasello Winery wines are sold here. Try the pomegranate — so delicious! We will definitely continue to come to Wemrock Orchards.

My uncle from Jersey comes to town periodically. It’s a must that he brings apple crumb pie from Wemrock Orchards if he’s visiting. Taste is like it’s made from scratch with fresh apples. Pecan pie is also good. This time around my uncle brought 4 pies. Looking forward when he comes down again to visit.

Love Wemrock. My friend and I went last week and she bought the apple crumb pie and it was DELICIOUS. Maybe Kevin T. just had a bad pie, could happen. Nothing is perfect, but damn near. Wemrock also has a lot of old fashion candy, which I love. Fresh bread, pies, cakes, also jar’s of spices, and frozen food. Reminds me of a little country market. Can’t wait to go back. Maybe today.

I am only here to rate their apple pie. Their apple pie was quite bad. The filling was soggy and too sweet, and their crust was mushy and undercooked(both the crust on the bottom, which was basically inedible, and the crust on top, which was only barely cooked) I recommend going to the Battleview Orchard store to buy their Apple Pies. They are significantly better tasting there.
