I needed a new cord for my Mac Book Air. I went to the store and they had what I needed. I was told that if I purchased it and it did not work, I could not return it. Several Days later, I returned to the store with my mac Book. The same person who said he was the manager opened the non factory sealed box with the charger and tried it on my computer and he said it worked. I questioned why the box he opened was not sealed and the wires appeared to be tangled as if the charger had already been used. The manager told me that he was required to open the chargers to try them before they leave the store. My question was not answered and he became very defensive. I asked him to clarify the store policy and why he thought the chargers may not work. Being an apple product, made for my apple computer, it seemed that it should work fine. The very defensive Manager then looked at me and told me I was welcome to go the Apple store several miles away and buy it there. This manager needs to learn how to answer questions relating to store policy and not to be so argumentative with customers. I did go purchase the stock charger at a much lesser price, and a clarified return policy. So much for keeping my money local… hello Amazon!

After several more helpful and insightful experiences with their products, the icing on the cake came: I needed the name a newly-​opened business near Radio Shack. I instantly knew that — based on my purchasing experiences with them — that no matter who answered the phone, they’d be helpful, and make sure I got the information I needed. Sure enough, they gave me the name, looked up the phone number for me (without me asking!) and acted very happy to do so.
THESE GUYS ROCK!!! They’re a blessing to the community they serve. If you need your employees to straighten up, ask this privately-​owned Radio Shack how they do it! Maybe they’ll give your slackers lessons in community service.
