I’d give this 0 stars if I could. My boyfriend and I drive by this place almost every day on our way to work, and decided we’d have a bunch of our friends meet up there to celebrate his birthday. When we arrived, the owner/​manager (I’m assuming) was hovering by the front door and as soon as we walked in, she immediately berated me, saying vapes are illegal to smoke in the entire state of Maryland inside a building. No «Hello» or «How are you tonight», just an immediate verbal assault. I had been holding my vape, along with my keys and phone, and had turned it off, as I do not vape inside any building but my own home. I responded with «I know, it’s turned off», and she responded with a sneer.
We walked in, and the place is a literal dump. One half of the building is an actual liquor store, and the other half has mismatched bar stools, sticky tables and countertops, and 3-​d horse races playing. We sat at the bar, waiting for some other friends, deciding we’d try to stick it out. This woman approaches us, and I informed her we were waiting for some friends before we ordered anything, to which she replied «Gonna need to see some ID». This was, while not an unusual request, pretty strange, as we’re in our late 20s. Additionally, the intonation of her request was insanely rude.
This place is not welcoming, and its staff/​owner are so incredibly rude. Save yourself the effort and go somewhere else.
