I used to go to a place in Hempstead for pupusas. The pupusas @ Albertinas is more authentic, and less greasy than the Honduran place. The staff are friendly, the food is authentic and delicious.

Excellent Truly Authentic El Salvadorian restaurant. The décor is plain. However the food is wonderful. Shrimps in garlic sauce were fantastic. Beef Steak «Typical» came with two fried eggs, rice, refried beans and avocado. Ordered one of the Pupusas to try and it was delicious. Everything has a real homey taste to it. We ordered Tres Leches cake and a sweet Empanada for dessert and they were very well executed as well. The place didn’t have many customers and thats a real shame because this place has terrific grub. The staff were friendly as well. Restaurant & restroom were very clean. Will definitely return. Got to get Horchata or a milkshake on my next visit.

My favorite Salvadorian food restaurant! The wait staff is friendly and helpful. I can’t think of plate that I do not enjoy, but you must try the infamous Pupusas! My favorite are the Pupusas revueltas, which are stuffed corn tortillas mixed ingredients of cheese, beans, and chicharrón.

very nice place, the dishes are all so tasty a very typical salvadorian menu all cooked to order and all so good! the grilled shrimp is seasoned so good, the popusas (a savory corn meal stuffed pancake) always comes out so tasty and not greasy the service is always with a smile and they make you feel like family, very clean place, family oriented a must try you won’t be disappointed ! btw it’s seasoned great not spicy at all !
