Had the curry lentil soup mixed with butternut squash. Great combo. The roll is tasty too and they give you a taste of anything before you buy.

The rolls. Just come here for them. You can get one of their delicious soups as well, but it’s the whole wheat rolls that steal the show. They are warm, yeasty, soft, and delicious. The perfect snack for the seasoned shopper.

I have a confession: I’m in love with Joe and his soup. Seriously. I eat lunch at Kamasouptra at least once if not twice a week. I try to rotate through the local eateries, but always come back here for a few reasons: 1. The food is amazing. The daily specials are always good, including the thanksgiving turkey pot pie soup with cranberry sauce. Well. Played. There’s always vegetarian options and the artichoke stew is among one of my favorite things ever. Sweet potato corn chowder with bacon and cheese is also quite delectable. 2. It’s fast. I could be waiting ten minutes for my lunch anywhere else in Freeport marketplace, sometimes more, and since I walk from work for lunch(traffic in town is always horrid) that’s a big chunk of my time. No thanks, competitors. Soup for me. 3. Friendliness. Everyone I have every seen working there is funny, friendly, and engaging. I can even say that when I’m having a bad day, I specifically seek out Joe And his soup to make me giggle and brighten my life a wee bit. Overall, I’ve always had a great experiences with this business and its employees, even when freeport is a mad house they always keep it together with smiles(which is not an easy task! Haha) Way to be! (And if you’re reading this see you around 1:00-ish)

I stumbled(not literally, for those who know me!) across Kamasouptra on a recent trip to the LL Bean store and surrounding outlets. It was a cold day and I saw what looked like a little food court. I’d already tried Amato’s, and wasn’t in the mood for a smoothie or a crêpe, so soup won out. I tried the butternut squash soup, just the small and it came with a wheat roll. Both the soup and the roll were so awesome. I wish I could have finished both, but what I ate was absolutely delicious. the prices were fair(under $ 5 total) and service was excellent. Wish I lived closer!

I love me some soup! Boyfriend found this hidden gem after checking out the infamous LL Bean store. I got the sweet potato corn chowder and boyfriend got the clam chowder. And the whole wheat bread they give you. Oh so warm and soft. On a cold fall day, soup is just perfect. Definitely give this place a try. It’s hidden in the Public Market.

While visiting the surrounding outlet stores and the LLBean Mothership during a several hour torrential rain, we stopped in the food court with Karmasouptra to warm up and dry off. It was a perfect little lunch spot. I’ve had the clam chowder, potato chowder and tomato soup. All awesome, everything well priced. Why isn’t this a more popular concept? The chowder was so good my gf forgot she had a roll to eat with it. Cool concept, good soups, fair prices.

Good clam chowder. Refreshing and clean. Tastes like a healthy version of clam chowder which was good in its own way. Don’t expect a rich, luxurious bowl.

Couldn’t decide between veggie chili and jalapeño beer & cheddar, so the guy says you should try mixing them together, sounded ok so I did that and sprinkled bacon and cheddar on top as well and it was just awesome. The fresh squeezed lemonade is really good as well.

Great soup in the Public Market. Chowder was tasty. Wife had the veggie chili and thought it was outstanding.

This place has great soup for a reasonable price. If you just want something quick, cheap or to go, this is a great stop in the food court.

This place has the best soups in the state. The clam chowder is the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve lived in New England my entire life. This location is better than the nearest one — the Maine Mall, and located in a great little eatery right off Main St. $ 5 gets you a bowl and a roll. Great deal, great soup.

The curried root vegetable and lentil soup was as good as any soup I’ve ever eaten and came with a generously sized and delicious roll. My family loved the tomato infused with grilled cheese and sweet potato corn chowder soups. These were so good we ate them despite the 80-degree weather. The prices are strikingly fair. The staff are delightful.
