Kings House

We have ordered twice and found the food to be very good! We are very happy to have found a new place in town. We always pick up so I don’t know about the delivery times.

Kings house has a website that allows you to order online. So that’s what I did. Upon ordering I noticed I could put a tip with it, instead of giving tip when they arrive.
An hour after I ordered, I called to see where the hell my food was and was told that «he’s on his way.» 20 mins later my friend the delivery man walks in. I sign the receipt for my credit card, and he looked at the tip line which had a «-» through it (remember.I tipped online). The man turns to me and has the BALLS to say «.no tip.?» I looked at him and said «are you f-​ing kidding me? I tipped you on the website!»
The sushi tastes horrible, the rice was dry, and the sweet & sour chicken was over fried.
Sigh. Never again.

Both times I ordered, the food came 40 minutes later, the fries and chicken wings were over-​fried, food was a disappointment.

Food is one of the better chinese takeout places i have ordered from in the past couple of years. HOWEVER, I am only awarding 3 stars because the last time I ordered from here they took 1hr50min to finally show up with the food. Thats right, almost two hours. It was a friday night so it was busy and I usually expect the food to take an hour but I called numerous times and then just said soon soon soon and refused to tell me my food would be another hour. THE BEST local Chinese takeout!!! And they deliver! I am super picky about Chinese restaurants and will travel for good Chinese. So happy to find this place.

I ordered and paid with credit over the phone. The food took 20 minutes to arrive. I asked the woman on the phone to have the delivery person go to the side door bc that’s the entrance to my apartment. Needless to say the tenants upstairs received my food.
I’ll give kings kitchen 5 stars for now being it was my first time ordering take out from them and I had a satisfying experience. I ordered chicken with mixed vegetables, pork fried rice and an pork egg roll.
Everything tasted good. the chicken with vegetables had plenty of chicken and an even amount of vegetable. The pork fried rice was lacking flavor a little however it wasn’t dry or bad and it had a generous portion of diced pork in it. The egg roll was fried crispy and hot yet soft inside. Possibly the best one I’ve ever had because I just started to like them. I will have to do a follow up when I suggest this new place to my family. I’d say it’s definitely worth a shot. One dollar delivery charge for orders under 10 dollars.
They need to put their menu online.

The best Chinese take-​out in the area! Veggies are not over-​cooked, sauces aren’t gloppy, fried bean curd is not oily. And great service, too. Standard Chinese take-​out menu but done well consistently.

Based on Unilocal recommendations, I stopped at Kings and ordered vegetable mei fun. Service was great, staff friendly but when I got home and served up a plate full, all I had was noodles. The vegetables were missing. I could count on one hand the tiny remnants of what was once a vegetable. I’m willing to try them again but I will not order mei fun.

Very good, basic chinese take-​out. Fair prices. Good portions. Fresh ingrediants. Friendly service. No complaints, which is about as high a compliment as one can give to a South Shore Chinese place.

Food has always been consistent. I usually order the shrimp with lobster sauce and it is always spot-​on. Their egg rolls are a bit greasy but then again when was the last time I had one that wasn’t?
It’s a fairly new place and they too survived Hurricane Sandy. Glad they did, since I live/​work in the area.

I don’t know whether it was because I went minutes before they closed but I always order General Tso’s at a new place to compare with others. With that being said, the food was stale, the pork-​fried rice was dry, hard, and tasted like 2 day old rice that’s been sitting in the fridge. I couldn’t even finish it because I felt uncomfortable eating the food. I am NEVER going back here. If it wasn’t so late, I would have went back for a refund.

Best local Chinese food I’ve found to date. It tastes just a little better than you’d expect it to. The egg rolls are tasty.

I moved to Freeport about three years ago. In that time I have been on a hunt for good Chinese. Finally I have found it in kings house. The wonton soup was perfect, its a rare experience when I don’t feel the need to add soy sauce to it. And the rest of the meal was just as good!

Great place to go! I live very close to the chinese place! food is top notch! i go there all the time and its always been great food! I defiantly suggest you guys look into going! every meal and appetizer is awesome!

Great food and great service. I have eaten here several times and I was always happy. I usually order sushi, which is always excellent. I recommend this place for lunch, or dinner.

Great food and great service. They’re always spot-​on on when the food will be done and their sushi is amazing for what its worth. Hands down my favorite chinese restaurant to date.

This is our go to place for FRESH Chinese food. Everything I have ordered is so yummy they have the best Fried Cheese Won-​ton I have had in a long time, they also will customize any order you want instead of Chicken and Broccoli I order Chicken and String Beans delicious. We live close so we always pick it up and there is always parking close to the restaurant and the customer service is amazing. No Complaints here.
