We love Summer Shades! The staff is amazing and Kory, the manager, knows his sunglasses. They have a great selection too– we won’t buy our sunglasses anywhere else. I love being able to buy LOCAL and have amazing customer service– doesn’t get any better!

Fantastic selection, great value, phenomenal customer service! If you have an inkling of what you are looking for, they will help you find the perfect pair of sunglasses. I have been the this shop twice with an idea of the style I was looking for. Each time I was handed two pairs of sunglasses and found the perfect pair right away. Last night my boyfriend was with me and decided to browse. He tried on one pair, wasn’t crazy about them so they brought him a different pair… Sold! We will ALWAYS buy our sunglasses here.

This is a nice little sunglass shop off the main drag in Freeport. They have a decent selection of the major brands — Oakley, Ray Ban, Carrerra, and some off brands.
Service was excellent. The manager (?) was patient with us and took time to explain about the various lenses. Prices were in line with other stores but nothing special.
My wife ended up buying a pair of close out Revo glasses for $ 105. We also got a couple pairs of kids glasses for $ 15 each. They were better quality than typical kids’ glasses. We were pretty happy with the experience.

Lifesavingly good repair service!
My regular glasses fell apart in Bean’s – little tiny screw went flying, and a lens fell out. Couldn’t locate the screw, but recovered the lens – but now I was unsafe to drive.
Summer shades came to the rescue with the requisite microscopic screw, the right tool, and a steady hand. All quickly, competently, and with good humor.
