Dr. Besh is the absolute best! I had numerous problems with my hands and elbows and transferred to Dr. Besh so I could receive the proper care. He is very caring and concerned about each patient. He takes the time to go over the treatment plan, procedures and recovery so you always know what’s going on and he answers any and all questions you may have. His surgical skills are the best around. I always complement him on his stitchery because I can hardly see any scars from my surgeries. I am currently on the mend from basal joint arthroplasty. This facility is a one stop shop, they have x-​rays, MRIs, and physical therapy all in the same site as his office and the surgery center. When you have everything in one place including the best surgeon in the Bay Area you can’t go wrong. Thank you, Dr. Besh, for the wonderful treatment.

Fantastic Doctor!
My wife shattered her wrist ice skating in Lake Tahoe just before Christmas. The hospital in South Lake Tahoe pushed us hard to have surgery performed the next day by one of their surgeons. We considered it, but after reading a few reviews online, decided to come back to the Bay Area to have the surgery performed. After reading great reviews about Dr. Besh on Unilocal,we made an appointment. They fit us in right away for an appointment and after a consultation with Dr. Besh, they scheduled surgery three days later. Dr. Besh took the time to explain the procedure and made us feel extremely comfortable before and after the surgery. He even returned a phone call to us on New Year’s Eve to make sure everything was well.
The doctor in South Lake Tahoe told us their procedure was to cut a long incision in the wrist and put a steel plate in. When we asked about scaring, they responded by telling us the incision was the only option for this type of surgery and since it was on the back side of the wrist, «It wouldn’t be that noticeable». If we had surgery up there, the steel plate would remain in my wife’s wrist forever.
Dr. Besh inserted 6 pins in my wife’s wrist instead of the steel plate. Incredibly he did not use one stitch on my wife’s wrist. In a few weeks the pins will be taken out and he says again he will not use any stitches.
The FORM office is clean and updated. The staff is excellent. If you need any type of hand procedure, go see Dr. Besh. We are very happy that we found him.

THE BEST!
I have only been seen once so far for a broken metacarpal, but I am so over-​the-​moon in love with the care I have received so far at FORM from Dr. Besh’s staff. My consultation with him was only 5 minutes because it didn’t need to be a second longer as my injury is very routine in it’s non-​surgical treatment. His staff, all of them, and I think I met the whole gang, are ludicrously amazing. Firstly the receptionist, Jamie, who even though she has only been with Dr. Besh for 2 months, KNEW EVERY PATIENTS NAME AS THEY WALKED IN THE DOOR. I counted 7 for 7 patients as I was waiting in the reception area. Next, the nurses are soooooo nice. Really, really, really nice and genuine to boot. The care is excellent, and Dr. Besh was a very professional and warm person to speak with. very understanding.
But I’ll tell you why my story should resonate with people: I’m on mediCal. Usually, this means going to some jacked-​up county hospital or major center with absolutely bottom-​tier care. Last time I went through that process for a shoulder injury that I literally had to let heal on its own without a lick of care, very painful and stifling.
On MediCal, my point is coming, sorry for the lengthy review, you just don’t get doctors as acclaimed in their field as Dr. Besh. Columbia undergrad, Georgetown medical, NYU hospital for residency. It’s silly how accomplished he is in his field, as well. But the reason I was able to see Dr. Besh was that he sets aside a certain percentage of his availability for people on state-​funded care, enabling poor folk to get the best care possible. So admirable, I am forever grateful to Dr. best and his staff. A million stars.

so I went to Dr besh office for my hand and he is a caring surgeon he explained to me the procedure and first try to handle with pt and ended up getting surgery I was so comfortable with him and his front desk staff Kim his assistant is sensational she was so sweet and kind and always trying to help. so I started physical therapy and wat a caring team he has I was welcomed like a part of his family Deanna my pt is fantastic she explains things to you and is really nice lady and there I cherrie my pt helper she got the best bubbly cheerful attitude she great always a warm welcome I look forward to going and brad is helpful always smiling and I don’t remember all names but his team us great I would recommend this faculty to anyone I want to thank all of staff for there hospitality thank you jeannine petrow

My wrist and thumb were killing me starting around June. I never go to the doctors but the pain was too much to have to deal with on the daily. So I looked up hand and wrist specialist and not far into this search did I stumble upon highly rated dr. Besh. I made an appointment with him after the near 3 week waiting period my wrist was starting to heal from waiting so long but was still in pain. I went to my appointment showed up in the new cute little building and was greeted by nice front desk staff. I took my seat and waited… And waited… And waited along side about 10 other patients. Finally I was called into the office where a nice lady set me up at the desk and asked some starter questions then told me dr. Besh will be in shortly. Another 15 – 20 mins he comes in asks me a couple questions and I basically explain the pain and what it could be not even 5 mins together and I’m out the door and scheduled to come back for 2 MRIs. I show up a few days later for the MRIs and the wrong part of my hand is scheduled to be done. I refuse to sit in a tube for hours and be billed for the wrong thing so they wouldn’t do the right part till they got approval from Besh himself. Postponed the appointment we finally get the green light I do the MRI scheduled for a consult. Same waiting game I get in his office only to sit in awkward silence before the craziness happens. Through the walls I’m subjected to hearing Dr. Besh screaming and verbally abusing his staff and my consult lady personally. She comes in after he finally stops and apologizes for me having to hear everything in the hall. And continues throughout her time to apologize and assure me not to worry and that «he’s having a long day» while I’m there at 8AM… His behavior was completely not okay. She told me not to get freaked out he does it all the time. Which is suppose to make me feel better? She tried to shhhhh me about the situation so they don’t get a review like this one but too late. But that’s all they seem to care about is the reviews since I believe that was what he was so mad about that morning. He comes in 15 mins later like nothing ever happened to talk about the two pieces of paper with my results on which I had infront of me to read for almost an hour. Told me nothing was wrong and sent me off to therapy another 5 min consult with him. Don’t even get me started on the therapy part of this. I showed up and the new intern therapist did a evaluation to see what she was working with. She was nice and I have her the benefit of the doubt that it was her first day. She did little tests and dipped my hand in wax and told me to come back. I already never wanted to come to this therapy but I figured I might get a nice hand massage out of it… So I thought. Then the next visit. I walk in and wasn’t greeted by the same face I was greeted by a man who for sure needed to stay home for hygienic purposes he had terrible pink eye. He sits me down and barely touches my (thumb) and was asking me if it was too much and if it hurt every two seconds but us couldn’t even tell if he was touching my hand or not due to the lack of pressure. 15 minutes of this ghost massage he gets silly putty for me to «strengthen my thumb muscles» but it was just a mess and he was touching it the whole time. He sent me home with it and I never touched it in fear he was contagious. Walked out and never looked back. Since then I have had 3 – 4 missed calls and voicemails asking if I’m coming back since then I have received at least 10 separate bills from Dr. Besh for insane amounts since he himself did absolutely nothing but make me wait and prescribe a joke of therapy. I paid one bill he sent me but as soon as I did I was sent 5 more.

Dr. Besh keeps you waiting due to overbooking.
Therapy was a joke but they are nice people.
And they over bill like crazy! Which there are other reviews on here saying so.
In the end I got nothing for my pain accomplished.
And because of this I will never see a doctor again.
Besh you can pretend to be concerned and apologize in a response to this but honestly I hope you just get it together and stop sending the bills out like it’s the thing to do.
PS: I’m apologize to your staff in advance if they get the heat for this.

Dr. Besh was the only surgeon who accuracy diagnose a chronic injury that other doctors at other clinics could not. Surgery experience was very good, recovery went well. Top notch physical therapists in the same building.

I’m the type to hype up any businesses, but I must say that I’m completely satisfied with my treatment. Hands down their staff and the Dr are so friendly and make you feel at home. Every time I came in for an appointment, they made sure that I wasn’t in any pain and if I was handled it swiftly. Before here I went to multiple different places but I’m glad to say that I’m done and it’s all because of their hard work. Once again thank you so much.

Sorry in advance for the lengthy post, but I think it is worth telling the whole story.
Dr. Besh’ office is a one-​stop shop. They provide local evaluations, X-​Ray, pre-​op screening, surgery center, and post-​op physical therapy.
Unlike other reviewers, all my appointments were on-​time (or at least within a 10 minute time window). It is worth mentioning that I had a total of 60+ visits over the course of about 7 months. Most of them were for Physical Therapy.
I was referred to Dr. Besh by another orthopedic surgeon to help resolve excruciating pain in my wrist due to bones shifting after two surgeries following an elbow injury. Dr. Besh reviewed my case and was convinced that the only course of action was to reduce the length of my Ulna, which means cutting a perfectly good bone. Since I am a mechanical engineer, I don’t like to break good bones to resolve a problem that is caused by another (bad) bone. So I got a second opinion (actually 3 opinions) and all of them pointed in the same direction (during that process I found out how very well-​respected Br. Besh is in his field).
When I decided to go ahead with the surgery (reluctantly) the process of getting scheduled and setup was amazing. If you have ever dealt with large hospitals, then going to FORM will feel like a breath of fresh air.
Anyway, the surgery was as smooth and timely as one can wish for. I arrived at 6am, went into the OR at between 7 and 8 am, and *walked* out of the surgery center at 10:30am to have a full-​on brunch at 11:00am. Now that is proper anesthesia for you!
The post-​op office visits and PT with Mitzi Harrison were excellent. Unfortunately the instability between the Ulna and the Radius remained and 3 months after the the Ulna shortening, we had to come to the conclusion that another surgery was needed. This time we ended up putting a new type of prosthesis to become the new radial head. This surgery was unprecedented, because it had been almost 1 ½ years when the previous prosthesis had been removed, because it had come loose, since it was too small for my bones. Dr. Besh consulted with the vendor of the prosthesis to find the right type, shape and model.
This surgery was again as smooth as the first one. (in at 6am, walking out at around 11am) The recovery was a lot more painful, but even that lasted only 3 days.
The following PT was hard work, but Mitzi was again awesome to work with and I got through the protocol about 4 weeks faster than the average patient. I have been pain free in my wrist and am still working on regaining strength in the arm. I very highly recommend this place for your orthopedic needs.

Dr Besh has been great!!! He has been professional and caring as well as his staff!!! I also love the physical therapy for my knees as well my hands!!! Kim is wonderful and full of knowledge and spunk!!! Kim is gem!!! Mitzi and Jonathan are great therapists !!! They have help me come very far !!!

Dr. Besh took the time to contact me personally, which I truly admire. He apologized for the attitude and unprofessional treatment I received form his billing service; an outside agency. He promised to contacted them and to have the situation remedied immediately. He followed-​up with me the next morning to make sure I was comfortable with the resolution. I received a corrected bill the following day in the mail. Wow!, talk about service, Dr. Besh is awesome in every aspect of his business.

I had several therapy sessions that Dr Besh’s people had the insurance company preauthorize. However, the latter later refused to pay. After fighting them for almost 2 years, they still won’t cover it. I finally decided to sit down with Dr Besh’s billing people who after evaluating the case wrote off the amount. There was no hassle at all and it did not even take too long for them to decide. Thanks to Dee, Roe, Amirra, and Dr Besh. More power!

Dr Besch is very friendly made me feel at home was a delight to meet him and have him care for me! His physical therapy depertment is awesome ALL of the staff is extremely friendly!

Four years later and my wrist is still going strong. I have the occasional ache and irritation but I have no other issues. I still think Dr. Besh ROCKS… I am very active and type daily, I am constantly using my wrist. Dr. Besh fixed me up…

Expect his appointments to take at least 1 ½ to 2 hours out of your day. I’ve had multiple appointments, and mind you I show up on time for them, but it takes about an hour to actually see Dr.Besh. The patient wait times need to be significantly improved. Once you actually see Dr. Besh the consultation feels very rushed since there are multiple patients waiting on him. Don’t get me wrong, Dr. Besh is a good doctor and knows his craft but if you are given a time to show up, then patients need to be seen at that time. If it’s a staff problem then he needs to either stop taking new patients until they are cleared or hire more staff.

This is by far hands down the best facility to receive treatment in. I’ve gone to US health work for months and did not see any results. Within only a few weeks of receiving treatment and care from FORM, I immediately observed significant improvement in my wrist and shoulder. Before I know it, I started to sleep through the night again. I can perform my job without feeling pain. I am completely appreciative of my doctors (Dr. Besh and Dr. J), PT staff and receptionists at FORM. Without them, my wrist and shoulder would be still suffering. Also, the institute is impeccable with absolute cleanliness.

Had a lot of issues with billing — being overcharged for sessions was one of the many things I had to deal with. And no, they wouldn’t fix it. Every person I spoke to had a different explanation for their billing practices.
I eventually caved and paid it off because I just wanted to be done with it. I do not recommend this place.

From my X-​rays, surgery and now physical therapy the treatment I’ve received at dr. Besh office has been beyond five star. The staff is personable and compassionate; doctor besh had incredible bed side manner and the softest hands that make you feel like you ARE in good hands.
I am currently in physical therapy and never leave without a cheesy grin on my face. The staff is hilarious and this is the part of the procedure that actually feels fantastic. If you have been considering seeing an ortho, I highly recommend dr besh and his staff. You will be highly satisfied and well taken care of!’

If you are looking for a reliable hand doctor then your search has finally come to a stop, because there is this one doctor who is very popular and well-​loved by many people in our place. His name is Dr. Besh and if in case your hand suffers from any condition go to him and you will see for yourself.
My encounter with Dr. Besh took place when I had my hand got pinned against the flooring of sister’s garage. I was busy that day doing some tweaking in the garage when a heavy steel object fell on my right hand and pinned it against the floor. The impact was real hard and my initial thought was that I already had my hand broken or fractured.
I really didn’t know what to do during that time. Good thing, my nephew was there and he really didn’t know what to do to help me. Oh, God, he really cried when he saw my face in anguish and in pain. He ran inside the house and there he alerted his mom. She called her neighbors and they helped lift the heavy object that nearly damaged my hand.
My sister asked if there’s anyone who knows a good place where she can take me. One from our neighbors exclaimed «Dr. Besh!» that neighbor came with my sister to bring me to Dr Besh.. Though I was in pain, I had the time to scrutinize the ambiance of the clinic and the first thing that impressed me a lot is the attentiveness of the attending staff.
Kim, whom I have known later on as the doctor’s assistant was so kind and very accommodating. She was so friendly I was like a little child who got tamed by her soft-​spoken words. She told us to wait for a little while as the doctor is busy with a patient who came in right before us. Not long after, I was called in the doctor’s office and there I have discovered more of the things that made Dr. Besh well-​loved and really popular.
Firstly, he work accommodatingly and would always speak in a kind and friendly manner. It was like he was talking to me like his kid brother who got hurt. I have to admit that such treatment made me feel better though treatment has not been administered yet. Secondly, I saw how he expertly performed every treatment procedure that needed to be given to my injured hand.
He found out that my hand sustained a slight fracture and there was no need for surgery. Thanks God! I was so relieved that moment because I was able to escape needles and scissors, and all. He put a brace and bandage on my hand, prescribed some medicines, and told me things I should and shouldn’t do for fast recovery. With a pat on my shoulder, the kind doctor sent me out with an assurance that I will be better in no time. And I just did!
Truly, a hand doctor like Dr. Besh is an angel. I would recommend him to my friends and everyone. Thanks to my sister’s neighbor, too!

I have been under Dr. Besh’s care since 2005. Dr. Besh is the «complete package». First and foremost, his down to earth personality and genuine compassion is a major strength for him. When you add that strength with his surgical expertise, you get a OUTSTANDING doctor/​surgeon.
Pardon the pun, but you’re in very good/​über-​efficient hands with Dr. Besh.
