Matt has remodeled my home, as well as 4 other properties. He has a tremendous amount of experience with high end projects and does great work. He also works with a great team of electricians, dry-​wall, HVAC etc. I would definitely recommend him.

What I want in a contractor: integrity, knowledge of codes, skills, resources, and a friendly responsive demeanor. These are the qualities that embody Matt Ghirenghelli and his team at Cal Pro Contractors.
I discovered Matt when searching for a local contractor to replace old galvanized plumbing with new copper throughout a home I recently purchased. I requested quotes from four other contractors and their pricing varied significantly. While Matt’s quote wasn’t the lowest, when I met with him I felt that his company and team were the best fit for my job.
I was very very pleased with the efficiency and work completed in ONE DAY. I love a vendor who under-​promises (might take 2 – 3 days) and over-​delivers!!!
Later, I was in need of a contractor to replace my original general contractor who had not been showing up and completing work. This is a tricky business for another contractor to take on as he will become responsible for the work previously done as well as correcting any mistakes made. As the owner, I was in a bad situation needing to complete the projects, correct bad work, pass inspections, and ultimately move in. We were way behind schedule too.
Every sub Matt brought in gave me more confidence in Matt’s judgement and integrity. Bad work was torn out and redone in an extremely efficient and price conscious way to minimize my losses. Inspections were passed quickly and without any problems.
One real test when working with contractors is whether or not I’d be willing to recommend them to a friend. I was very pleased to nominate Matt for other jobs.
Another test is whether or not I’d be willing to hire Matt again to remodel another home. I am definitely looking forward to working with Matt and his crew again. Matt has proven his talents and demonstrated responsibility in every way I hoped. I am very glad to write this review for his company!
