I’ve never had such a terrible haircut before. I’m not sure who did my hair but she did a very poor job. I went with my brother and his hair ended up awfully uneven and the barber said that was as far as her skill went (which seemed like a pretty awful excuse if you ask me). My hair ended up uneven and didn’t look anything like layered hair but she said it made me look younger so I didn’t say anything about it. My brother and mother started arguing with the barber, getting into a very heated altercation. Normally, I don’t agree with getting into a big argument but they had a valid reason to be angry. I, honestly, am never upset about a haircut. I never understood people who hated them but now I do. I really do not suggest coming here for a haircut. I think what really bothered me was that she said ‘that’s as far as my skill goes’. She’s spent twenty years cutting hair and uneven hair is as far as her skill goes? I did not have a good time here and really want to give this place zero stars. Like if I could only give one piece of advice it would be this: never come here for a haircut.

Great hair cut! Cash only. Candice is amazing! I appreciate their quick and quality cuts for myself and my boyfriend. I’m skittish about haircuts usually but here I never have had any problems. Highly recommended.

The owner isn’t present and these ladies do not know how to run the business. One of the ladies says she’s too sick to work yet she is at work, and another is tired to work. The place was empty and they kept speaking Chinese with each other like it’s their house without acknowledging customers who were very upset as they all left. Every time I am here it looks like the people working here hate their jobs. Time for a new staff!
Sorry but this is a bad experience and when the owner candy is not present these ladies are lazy as hell. Taking my business elsewhere.

$ 9 haircuts, you get what you pay for i guess, I came here in here on a pretty slow day, the lady finished up the guy before me and then went and proceeded to check her cell phone for a good 5 – 8 minutes before even saying hi to me or seating me. then asked me if i wanted it short. i said no just medium length, she then proceeds to pretty much shave my head. no communication at all throughout the cut. yea probably won’t be coming back

Cant do there only job, cut hair… went in for clean up and ended up chopping all my hair off. She didnt listen to a word I said and did whatever she wanted. I dont refer this place to anyone. First thing she did was start chopping my hair and it was too late to tell her no. And when I spoke up she STILL cut more off and left it hella uneven. I shouldn’t of even paid them n just walked out

This place gives ok haircut, even though they miss some spots. My hair is kinda uneven, but hey I keep on coming back cause it’s cheap. $ 9 with $ 1 tip. It’s okay for somebody that is married with kids cause they are the only people that won’t judge ur haircut

Can’t beat a $ 9 haircut. I refuse to pay more than $ 10. I go there for male haircuts. I have been getting basic military fade each week for the last few months. Only had one issue: told them to crop the top so hair won’t hang over forehead and instead they edged the top and made me look Puerto Rican. That was just one day and it was with someone I never had before. Great place and great price.

Do not go here! Dirty, bad service. Worst salon ever.

I was lured into Candices by the cheap price and my husband’s recommendation (he is nearly bald and they do a nice job trimming what he has left). I asked just for a trim as I am trying to grow my hair longer. The hair cutter asked me if I wanted it layered and I told her no as it makes my hair poofy. She then began cutting my hair while talking to her coworker in another language. She did not acknowledge me again until she was done hacking away at my hair. The result… an uneven layered hack job that was so bad, I had to go to another salon to fix my hair.

Worst fing place! Cant cut hair bad service and unprofessional! Never going there. Maybe if she got off her cell and paid attention to cutting hair it wouldnt be half as bad

dont go here… they dont know how to cut hair… my hair is really bad like really uneven… SO uneven like some are less than an inch some are 2 inches. all i wanted was a trim but its murdered. even my 13 year old brother can cut better… not coming back… that $ 1 diffrence in other salons makes a big diffrence. its so bad that i had to make a review.

Hair was cut by Candice’s staff, not by Candice herself – but needless to say, I’m never going back to find out.
I’ve been cutting my own hair with the help of some friends in college and they turn out okay. I decided that since I’m home for the summer, I’d have my hair cut by a professional since my might have fallen out of «order» from all of the casual cuts.
I’m prepared to explain how I’d like my hair in English, Mandarin, or Cantonese so that the barber can completely understand what kind of hair I’d like. Well, the barber only spoke English (not fluent) and Vietnamese, so that’s fine I’ll just explain it in English. Now, I’m not trying to bash on the fact her English was poor, because that would be unfair. I’m just giving some background so that you understand how disappointed I am. I’m unhappy with the fact she gave me a bad haircut.
I thought I gave a pretty accurate description of how I wanted my hair wanted (except for my sideburns, I didn’t explain that well so I don’t blame her for making that part look bad). However, I clearly stated that I didn’t want my scalp showing on the sides and that I wanted the front/​top area layered and texturized. I sit in a chair and come out with my hair looking like a damn basketball (when poofed) with absolutely no texture and staring at my scalp when I check the sides.
Imagine dropping a brand new iPhone onto a precious antique vase and shattering both… with the shards from the vase stabbing your leg as it shatters… I cannot describe in words how angry I am at how my haircut came out. I’m sure things would have turned out differently if Candice was cutting. Anyways, I’ll be cutting my own hair from now on… after this review, I will be driving off to Ross or Kohl’s to buy myself a hat to cover up the hideous cut (I am serious).

Was having a good day until I got my haircut at Candice. This is my second time getting a cut at this place and first time, just OK but this time, man, totally messed up. I explained to her specifically and she cut way too much. Just to give an idea, I could join the military again and won’t need a cut at all. I have to say that the cut, both times were by her staff but what pissed me off was Candice walked over and said it was my fault for not stating correctly, what? BTW, please speak english with your staff so your customers can understand and defend/​explain themselves. I know my hair will eventually grow back and will have to wear a hat on my off days but when at work, going to hear some words from my coworkers. Very disappointed and being nice when I say this.

$ 9, good hair cut… what more can you ask?
I’ve been here several times now, once by Candice herself and other times by her staff. I feel they all give you good attention and are very skillful with the scissors and clippers.
Be prepare for a long wait on the weekend. Best to go on a week day. Language barrier? If you want something specific, best to bring a picture to show.

Stumbled on this place while driving to the bowling alley and decided to get a quick hair cut while I was waiting. I’m not too picky when it comes to my hair but I was actually surprised at how good it turned out. I’ll be coming here instead of my usual place from now on. Not only is it cheaper, but it’s also not crowded with people sitting around waiting. They are friendly and speak English at a level above the Asian salon standard.

She’s gotten very popular now, so be prepared to wait. Because of how busy she’s gotten, I feel like service has dropped a little, but it’s still a really cheap haircut and it looks good, so I guess I’ll keep coming here.

Went there today. am a fan! Candice was friendly, knew what she was doing. I had taken a pic of a haircut I wanted and she did good on it. The place is clean, spacious and welcoming. For $ 15 its’ a steal!

Candice is very good. She is very flexible and not expensive. she is the BEST. Being so busy with your work and dont get appointment to the so called «good saloon», but you just call her and she is always ready to welcome you and belive me she is always busy but still always smiling. she is the best.

I wondered into here on a Saturday afternoon, after not having my haircut in almost six months. That being said — I was slightly embarrassed by that fact and had already had trying experiences with poor service at two other salons — one with a long wait, and the other giving me the runaround instead of helping me. Candice herself gave me a great haircut, giving me helpful advice when I didn’t know what I was asking for. She was experienced, friendly and thoughtful. My hair looks wonderful, and I even got a compliment from another customer before I walked out the door.
