The owner Mrs. Do is my neighbor. We always watch each other’s back and accordingly I followed her wherever she moved to when she changed locations. Now she’s conveniently located near me and I utilize her skill sets fully! This morning matter of fact, I dropped off a whole bunch of clothes. She’s always realistic with her time frames and I respect that. I never expect anything rush because I believe that it takes time to make anything really good. And she certainly doesn’t downplay her craft.

Wow, I just brought in a dress to have it shorten and it’s going to cost me approximately $ 60. This place is expensive. If I wasn’t in a hurry, I would have gone to another business. If you are looking for bargain alterations, this is not the place for you.

Like other Unilocalers, I really satisfied with this place. I altered my size 6 pants to size 4 and it works very well. She knows what she is doing, great!

My Mom has used this place for as long as I can remember and I have followed in her footsteps now that I’m officially an adult and have to get my own clothes altered. They do a great job, are reasonably priced and get your items back to you quickly. The only downside for me is that I live across town so getting there isn’t all that convenient, but I still make the trip.

As a disclaimer, I have been going to Express Alterations since I was in High School. Whenever I return to Fremont for an extended period of time and need any sort of alterations done to a clothing item, this is the first and only place I go.
I have had alterations done in the chi-​chi-​est of places in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and now DC but this tends to be my favorite due to the level of quality that goes in to their work. Notably, I brought a bridesmaid’s dress here once and had them completely remake the dress’ shape with the existing material. I have also had them tailor my pants from trousers to skinny leg, and have had the basic hemming and waist take in’s completed.
Its not unreasonably expensive and they stay open till 7pm M-​F.
