Called ahead and made sure they had the game I wanted in stock for the correct console, and the associate offered to put it on hold being as I was coming in the same day to pick it up which was super helpful. Came in, and even though the store was packed my transaction was quick and didn’t feel rushed. Tiffany made sure I was comfortable with the game, even when I didn’t want a warranty. Nice to have good customer service this time of the year

Came here to check on a cable from the Wii to the tv. The guys here were super helpful and really nice. I also have a remote that isn’t working so well and the guys gave me a few suggestions. The stock of games isn’t as much as the other stores but the customer service was great. Ill be coming back to this one for sure.

Inconsistent staff quality. Occasionally, there are a few friendly staff here that are easy to talk to and willing to help out customers. But most of the time, I’d run into the«logically impaired» ones that probably failed their math classes. April 2nd, 2015, I happened to run into 2 of these working the same shift. Neither of them were able to recognize GAMESTOP promotion coupons, and they were UNABLE to figure out the logic of a simple purchase/return step to help a customer save a few bucks. So, instead of wasting my precious time to explain how things work in life, I went to gamestop in NEWARK Mall, saved myself some money and I was out of there in a few minutes.

I am not a huge fan of GameStop in general, but this one is extra sad. The location is a bit hard to find unless you regularly troll the(dilapidated) Fremont Hub, and the interior isn’t well cared for. I came here a few months ago, to sell some games that were just collecting dust. I waited at the counter for a solid 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge me and then the clerk grilled me as to how I(being female) would have so many games, as if that was a crime, and not in a socially-adept manner. He seriously asked me if I took them off a boyfriend. Um no. Overall, kind of a weird exchange and I’d probably avoid this location in the future.

Never had a problem here. My boyfriend is a big gamer whether it’s ps4 or computer gaming he’s all over it. For Christmas I was on the hunt for a good headset that was wireless and all other gamestop stores were sold out of the particular one I wanted to buy, but not this one. I figured I reserve one on hold for me since I work around there in the hub and luckily I got it. Plus it wasn’t so busy when I got there at 2pm so I was right on time. It was a win for me and with no complaints.

I’ve been here numerous times only to make purchases to make my brother a happy man due to his gaming tendencies, and boy they do not seem to disappoint. Roland is usually the one to help me all the time because he is there every time I just happen to come in for an inquiry or purchase. He’s very friendly and helpful and makes sure he goes all the way to make his customers happy!

I’ve been going to this gamestop for years since I was in junior high. Even after moving to Union City, i still go to this location because of familiarty with the area. Every game I ever purchased really was from this place but I’m not sure if I will continue. Had an issue the other day when GTA released for the PS4. I came in around six to pay it off so I could pick it up at midnight. Little did I know that when I would arrive, they would be closed. There was a small crowd outside the store confused as I was. After 15 min, hoping someone would show up, me and my friends gave up. Me and some other people from the crowd actually drove to the 24hr Walmart in Union City to pick up our games. Next day I came back to this gamestop store to return my copy that I purchased. I spoke with the employee that day and asked about the previous nights absence and he told me that they actually gave out the games at 9pm. He apologized for the confusion which I do appreciate but I wish the whole thing was explained when I paid off my game. I do have to note that when I paid off the game, I had asked when was the suggested time to be there to wait in line. I was told 8:50 which I didn’t think much of as I knew this would be an anticipated game and I knew other games were releasing as well. But to find out that the game would be handed out at 9 instead of midnight is weird to me and since I wasn’t the only one that showed up at midnight, I know somewhere along the lines the store dropped the ball. Unfortunately I don’t see myself returning to Gamestoo as this incident wasted my time and gas. I write this review as just a note to the staff there to be aware that they should inform their customers of details such as this to avoid further incidents.

Thanks to this particular location for having a PS4 in stock, I no longer have a man. JUSTKIDDING. Roland was extremely helpful during our last visit. We were at the Great Mall location when we were offered a used PS4, EW. Who would want anything used when you can get it brand new for $ 100 more? So we called the Fremont Hub location and they had it in stock! YAY! We also asked Roland to put NBA2014 on hold for us since they only had 2 left in stock. When we arrived, he had everything ready for us so it was a quick purchase. Gamestop is actually pretty cool, although I wish they had some fun chick games.

Parents out there with kids who love gaming… I will tell you a secret, butter these guys up and sometimes they have freebies behind the counter that kids love! Posters, promos, etc. Either way, these guys rock, my kids basically live here.

I’m not a huge gamer and this happens to be in the Fremont Hub so I thought I checked it out. I was hesitant to go in the store based on the reviews but when I was greeted and welcomed by the sales guys and they were nothing but helpful. What do you expect from a Game Stop? Get in, get your game, and get on with your life people!

I had not come in this place for about 5 years. I always remember bad experiences with the sales people. But this time, my kid wanted a particular game that was having a midnight go live. Since this is closer than the other gamestop’s and I had to get it it at Midnight, I thought I’d give this place another try. I was pleasantly surprised that the sales people were very professional and helped me out with all my questions. Jose was exceptional and informed me of some extras I’d be getting with the midnight release which I was not aware of. He ran the whole process from tip to tail and I was impressed with this customer service skills. Midnight release was quick and easy. Jose personally took care of me and did a great job in making the whole experience no hassle. They’ve won my business back and I’ll frequent this location in the future.

I called in to see if they had an item in stock. The guy wasn’t even listening. He kept asking me to repeat and he sounded like he was chatting away and joking around with his frd. After he assured me that what I wanted was available in store, I drove all the way there only to be informed by a sales person there that they didn’t have it and they haven’t had the item or a long time.

Brian, the person who helped me was very friendly. It was a nice clean store, only con is that I don’t really like that their DS games are at the counter where you check out, but other than that, this place is great!

My son traded in his Wii and its accessories. We were helped by Brian J. who was very patient while sorting out everything we were trading in and completely knowledgeable and helpful. It’s amazing the amount of store credit you can get for old games.

This has to be my least favorite GameStop’s in the area. It’s big unlike the ones in Newark, but so is the Pacific Commons one and that one is better in my opinion. The times I’ve been to this location I’ve dealt with rude staff and a messy store. Every time I’ve gone in the staff have been too busy talking to bother greeting you or helping anyone but what I assumed to be «regulars». I’ve also gone in and seen the store’s floor littered with leaves and whatnot and no one seemed to care enough to clean up. The games were more or less in order in most of the sections, but I can’t see any member of the staff bothering to organize them if they get messy. I say skip this location and go to the Jarvis location by Safeway, the mall location, or the Pacific Commons location(probably in that order).

One of the largest shops in the East Bay. Lots of used games to choose fRom. Went to trade in old games(tips: check regularly for trade-in specials like 50% more for your used games and if you signed up with their Edge card, you get additional 10%). Downside is Gamestop usually low ball you on your trade-in value but if you don’t need coasters to cluster your place then why not trade them in for current titles. Service was OK. The service clerk«John» was a bit slow so he might be new. Wanted to also pick ip a couple of PSN cards but was told the activation machine was down. They lost sales on that one. To sum it up: Pros: Large used games inventory, good location, ample parking. Cons: Low trade in value for your games, untrained sale staff, and gift card machine not working correctly. Happy gaming everyone!
