4.5 stars I came here with my parents last Saturday night and it was delicious! We had originally planned to eat @ Three Guys Pies but after my dad parked the car, my mom noticed that this new noodle house had opened. I will definitely say that their noodles were nicely bowled and prices were reasonable. Also, my parents have actually been to Gui Lin and eaten the authentic«Gui Lin rice noodles» and they said the ones were @ Gui Lin Noodle House were definitely authentic. Service was good. The only gripe I have is that the tables were a bit cramped; but I understand the space constraints vs. price. Anyway, I would definitely return in the future! I love noodles and they are the perfect comfort food on cold winter days.

Decided to try a new place with a friend. The environment is pretty nice. Very lounge-like. I don’t know if they had a bigger menu because we came during lunch and we had a lunch special menu, but they didn’t have much to choose from either. I basically used Unilocal to look at the pictures and see what they had and that’s how I ordered. The service wasn’t great, hence why I gave this 2 stars. For a small store, it was hard to get the servers attention. He never really looked up or around to see if anyone needed anything, so it took awhile for us to get chili and water. Also, it was nearing their closing time but we were still eating and the server was rude about telling us to pay our bill right now because he handed it to us about 10 – 15 min. beforehand. He didn’t even say excuse me or even just a small greeting to nicely let us know that they were closing soon and that we needed to pay the bill soon. The one thing that the server did that was the last straw for me was that when I paid our bill, and mind you its cash only, we WAITED I’d say about 8 – 10 minutes for our CHANGE. By this time, it was just my friend and I in the restaurant. We sat there thinking he’s just handling a few things, but when I turned around, he was going through the order receipts and might have expected we left without our change. I’ve lost my patience by this time and so I called him out and told him that he forgot to give our change & he goes«oh, how much did you pay?» …come on… what kind of service is this?! I’m NEVER coming back here. Service was really horrible. The food was alright, it wasn’t anything that special that you can’t get at other places that has better service than here. I DONOT recommend this place to anyone, it’s just a waste of your time and money.

This noodle house serves large portions of noodle which is perfect for those who eat a lot! Several of their dishes are quite flavorful and the majority of their menu are composed of spicy food. When I came here I ordered the tripe noodle soup with preserved vegetable! The service here and the workers are wonderful. They greet you with a smile and welcome you to a table where vacant. They are fast and attentive. Halfway through the meal one of the servers asked if I would like more broth for my noodles! They will definitely be seeing me in the near future quite often ^^

This is our regular place for spicy Chinese food. The service is very friendly and understanding to our needs. Our favorite items are the spicy chicken palm and the sour beans, they go really well with rice.

I have been here a few times and like this restaurant. The staff were nice and the service was quick. The noodles were decent and I liked the spicy ones. The style was somewhat different than what I had at Guilin China, but hey I still liked it.

They serve huge bowl of rice noodles, good place for quick meal. Just not a authentic Guilin noodle place.

tip: don’t order the rice items, they suck. stick with what they’re good at, the noodles. I thought the guilin noodles were good but the wife thought the sweet and sour noodles were just so so and couldn’t even compare to the ones in shenzhen. The pictures outside of the place show crispy pork skin but I don’t see any in my bowl of noodles so there’s a bit of a bait and switch going on. Overall, the guilin noodles are good for lunch and that’s about it. Prices are not as expensive as I thought. The roasted peanuts give a good crunch and goes along great with the noodles.

Came here when the ramen house next door was unexpectedly closed. The young man working was pleasant and accommodating. The beef soup was pretty good — humongous portion. However, the big bowl was so filled with noodles, there was hardly any room left for broth. I asked for extra broth on the side. The flavor was good and I enjoyed the peanuts, sprouts, and bits of pickled green bean(at least that’s what I think it was). I wish there was a bit more beef as there were only two very thinly sliced pieces. I think there is room for improvement but the suggestions I have are very easy fixes.

As a kind of second lunch to fill our bovine-like bellies, we came and tried out this small spot. We had the beef noodle, and the spicy intestine and pickled vegetable noodle. Both of them were tasty, as they both use the«Guo Qiao Mi Xian» as the noodles– cylindrical rice noodles that can be reminiscent of spaghetti noodles, but with a white/translucent color. We didn’t get a chance to come back to try the rest of their menu, but next time we’re in Fremont, we will!

This is NOT Guilin noodle! Guilin noodle should start with noodle with sauce only, with soup in another bowl. And the ingredients is not Guilin style neither. If you are looking for authentic Guilin noodle go to the one in San Jose and Oakland, or the one in Union City. But if you just want some rice noodle, their taste is good enough so I add 1 start for that.

Best place, I love this place so much. It was the best noodle I ever tried. And the soup was very good. I believe they put many things to make the soup. It’s combination.

This restaurant is awesome. I eat a looooooot. Everything is perfect. Amazing food, nice staff, clean environment! The boss is young and a hard working guy. Will strongly recommend this restaurant. :)

Ordered beef shank noodle and duck noodle. Both were very bland. Soup broth completely lacks flavor. Maybe their stir-frys are better, but considering that they’re named for their noodles, I’m not optimistic. Will not be back.

Guilin rice noodle soup — The meat in it is duck but there were more bones than meat. Beef with tofu and leek — not worth it. We didn’t intend to order this but there was a miscommunication. The server gave us a discount, so that was very nice of her.

Nice Guilin Duck noodle!!! After tasting all the rice noodle at Bay Area, this is the best. Of course, because some food ingredients are not available at US that make the«Guilin Noodle» can’t be perfect as how it is in China. But this is the best I tried!

3 stars for food 5 stars for service hence I give a 4. food is mediocre. appetizers and stir-frys are better than their rice noodles, which is a bit overcooked, hv room to improve provided that it’s a new business. I read another review saying their noodles were undercooked. so I guess they are trying to adjust their cooking to please every customer. service is great though! they don’t take card but we didn’t hv enough cash. the owner asked us to pay during next visit! we are not fds of him. we don’t know him he doesn’t know us neither. we then offered to pay whatever we had at that moment and then go get some cash, he rejected and said it’s their problem not having the card reader installed yet! wow I can never imagine this would happen in a Chinese restaurant here. 5 stars customer service. we then went marina supermarket next door and got some cash back n went back to pay our bill. we are happy and would come back to try their other dishes next time.

My parents wanted to try this place since it opened a few weeks ago so we went for dinner. When we were seated, the tables were so closely placed together that it was nearly impossible to get to your seat without hitting the table next to you. My parents ordered a spicy beef appetizer with the pig feet rice noodle soup and I ordered the beef stew rice noodle soup. The spicy sliced beef appetizer was pretty good. But warning, it is really spicy from the amount of chili oil that the beef is drowned in. I did not personally try the pig feet rice noodle soup but from what my parents say and the looks of it, the noodles were a little undercooked and the pig feet was very chewy when it should be tender and come right off the bone. As for my beef stew rice noodle soup, I liked it but I would have to agree with my parents that my noodles were undercooked and chewy as well. This place is not bad but it would be awhile for me to come back and try again.

Not a native of the Guilin region, so I can’t testify to its authenticity. On my first visit, during opening week, I ordered a spicy beef stew over rice lunch special, had a few bites, and then pitched it. The beef’s connective tissue was impossibly chewy, instead of soft and tender and the spice nonexistent. On my second visit, I ordered the beef stew with rice noodle soup, which featured all the usual Guilin accoutrements: peanuts, diced thin string beans, and even two quail eggs. I also had green onion pancake(perfectly flaky layers) and potstickers(unmemorable). Will visit again to try the numbing spice items. Good, friendly service.

1st try. order the noodle soup and double-fried pork. pretty good. I like that we could choose the food to be less spicy, yet still pretty tasty. I also like the numbing sensation in the spice. There are some noodle items and appetizers. But definitely will come back for the dinners, as they have a lot of wok dishes.
