Well my poor review has nothing to do with the prior reviews or drug pushing. She actually offered me medication when I told her that I’d rather rely on natural remedies. My review is based on her complete and utter lack of personality. She stares at me as if I came from another planet, speaks with absolutely no human inflection or emotion in her voice. Saying this doctor has no «bedside manner» would be an enormous understatement.

I don’t know what these haters are talking about. Dr. Hoang has been my doctor since 1999 and I’ve followed her around, wherever she goes! I’m glad she’s not a drug-pushing doctor! Obviously that’s what some of these haters want.

Find another doctor! She is not thorough in the slightest. She never prescribes any kind of medication and always says let it «do its thing». I would say 9 times out of 10 I have to make another appointment and demand a prescription or a blood test to be done. On top of it all she works in two location, Milpitas and Fremont. The Fremont office has about 10 parking spots and is in a facility for many doctors and different clinics, that alone is a headache. The staff sucks! So rude even its a slow day which I must say almost never happens. It is always a zoo in the office. She is the primary doctor to my family of five and I am switching today!

(First Unilocal review) I finally have got around to changing my doctor. I would not encourage anyone to visit this doctor. I have been scratching my head trying to think of at least one positive thing I could say about my experience with Dr. Hoang but I cannot think of one. The only nice thing I can say about her is that she is fairly polite. When I moved to Fremont 2 years ago I wanted to find a nearby doctor and her office was close by. However, on every office visit I have never received anything other than the bare minimum of medical service. When performing wrist flexion(aka forearm curls) I felt an abnormally big pop in one of my wrists. At the time I work at a labor job and couldn’t work effectively. I visited the doctor to get her evaluation. She felt my wrist area and tried moving it a little. She told me that my bone just momentarily poped out of place but everything was going to be fine. However I was still in pain and asked if she would please excuse me from work for a few weeks. She wrote a note for me to take 3 days off work. She said if I was still in pain to come back and see her. Without going through every one of my medical issues over the last two years most of my office visits were similar experiences. The doctor has never taken an interest in my any of my pain. Just wanted to collect my copay and get me out of the office asap before I felt good about leaving. Never offered me any medicine for any of my sicknesses or pain until I asked for it. I was particularly bothered by my visit when I needed to renew my CDL(commercial driver’s license) medical certificate. You basically have to go through a physical check-up every 2 years for this. The doctors assistant told me that I have to pay 2 copays for this… huh? I couldn’t believe it. I have done this 3 times before and never once had to pay 2 copays for this. The doctors assistant told me it was because of the paperwork involved(about 3 or 4 pages). The thing that prompted me to finally change my doctor was my most recent visit to Dr. Hoang. I went to her to ask what is wrong with my elbow and what can be done to fix it. Every time I bend my elbow it feels like there is a crunching of the joint which is different from the«pop» I feel in my other elbow. She told me it is because I am lifting too much weight. I am average size and weight about 165 lbs. I’m not exactly sure who else considers regularly bench pressing 155 lbs. too much weight for someone my size. I asked if I can have this corrected with surgery or some other means. She told me no, I have to stop lifting weights for 2 months and it will heal itself. I stressed to her that my elbow still hurts even when I perform a simple push-up. Then she told me that I must have really damaged it and may need to stop lifing for a whole year… and that was it. In any case, I would recommend not ever visiting this doctor.

First of all, I would suggest reading the«not recommended reviews» because they are newer than that of the one review that is shown. I think they have more truth than the review shows. I switched to this medical group because I was in town for 2 months and needed to see a doctor for health clearances and some health problems. I am so happy that I will no longer have to return here. On to my review. I have never been to a practice that has been so unorganized and consistently poor in their work. Messages are never returned, results are not given until demanded in person, and workers are slow to complete everything. I was charged a co-pay for a physical exam, and Dr. Hoang did not even touch me. When I had another problem, she did not fully evaluate me. When I sought a second opinion, the other physician did many more maneuvers to pinpoint my problem. She was not very caring, and she did not read me well. I was close to tears, and she gave no sympathy. Multiple times, I just needed a simple lab order or my test results back, and the staff tried to charge me a co-pay to just get it done. This medical group is truly just out for the money. Be firm with them if you do end up here, but I recommend staying away from this physician and medical group. It is not worth your time nor money.

I’ve gone to plenty of doctors before I knew that she was going to be my permanent one. I’ve been going to her for about 4 years now and she’s always looked out for me. She’s performed a few small surgical procedures in house and has always referred me to the right specialty doctors for my other needs which included a physical therapist and a dermatologist. She knows her medicine very well so I feel extremely comfortable asking her about certain things knowing that she knows what I’m talking about. I’ve referred a friend of mine to see her and he also feels the same. Dr Hoang is the best!
