Still think this is a hidden gem and I’m surprised a some of the1 star ratings… I have been back several times since my last review and my 5 star still stands. I tried Munchner Haus Deli by the Hub today and spent $ 13 on a soggy Brat sandwich. I should have driven 2 more miles and come here instead.

I buy my ham and turkeys here every year for the last 4 years. And from time to time my family and stop by from sandwiches. This is it. Beyond horrific customer service. This location is always short staff and the ladies in the front one in particular always has an bad attitude. Today I tried to reserve a couple turkeys and a ham, and was put on hold no joke, 5 times before being put on hold one last time and hung up on because the lady that was taking orders had to go on break… What the hell? I call back now pissed and very frustrated that after 12 min of speaking to these people they can’t mange to make my reservation, and I get the«assitant manager” — what a joke. She of course is also frustrated like I have anything to do with them being short staffed. I just wanted her to take my fracking order how hard was that? But instead of being professional and trying to honor my frustration she starts arguing with me. And telling me she has nothing to do with my baby crying or me yelling. Actually you do– a phone order should take no more than 5 min. Think about that your job is to help and serve customers, don’t lecture me or speak over me. Lady — big mistake. You need some serious retraining. And if you can’t handle it now when it’s not even that busy how the hell are you going to handle the holidays? Not ever going to buy here.

I ordered a turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce. It was horribly sweet and expensive! Never again.

Bought two hams on Tuesday 23rd2014. Cramped parking, but I was able to find a spot. Floors are continuously sticky from poorly wrapped honey baked hams. They used to have a great staff, but now they have young seasonal workers who don’t know crap about the cut of meat. I wanted two butt halves, but the kid who helped me had no idea what that was. During checkout I used a gift card for a portion of payment and a very over worked, irate staff member had to help cash me out. X-mas day, one of the hams was perfection while the other was completely dry and inedible. The family dog wouldn’t even eat it. When we called to complain and ask for a refund they wanted proof of product, so we kept some of it. We went all the way back to the store and showed them the crap they sold us, but all they did was snub their noses at us and give us a portion of what we paid back on a gift card… I don’t ever want to buy another ham here due to their lack of knowledge, poor product, and customer service.

I love this place! Top notch customer service. I’ve been going here for years and will continue. If you plan ahead, you’ll have no complaints.

I ordered a ham for Christmas! The process was super simple! I called in and they help guide me on the size to order. They gave me a four digit reservation number and told me to come in on Dec 23rd instead of the 24th! They warned me about the craziness and told me it should be fine because ham lasts up to 8 days in the fridge! I stopped in on the 23rd to pick up my ham and it wasn’t that crazy yet. The process was simple and they had some line controllers and a ton of registers. I love that they had some King’s Hawaiian rolls available for purchase. I bought two bags to go with the ham. Saved me a trip to another market! I paid less than $ 70 for everything. Honeybaked ham is always a hit at our family gatherings. They never fail us. The guy who helped me on the phone was really nice and super helpful. Made my experience awesome and easy breezy! I’m sure it would have been a nightmare if I came on the following day. I appreciate that he gave me a heads up!

Picking up a holiday ham for xmas. I called to order the ham in advanced. The lady rushed me off the phone whatever… I asked really quickly how are the lines looking right now? She said I don’t know, I am in an office(in a snooty voice). Ok, I said thanks and Happy Holidays. :) When I went by to pick up a ham, the line wasn’t too bad. There was about 15 people in line which isn’t bad the week of Xmas. When I got to the counter, I was helped but I hear an employee next to me acting all bitchy to another customer. I’m not sure what happened but she said you are holding up the line and you need to step aside. I was shocked to see someone be so mean to a customer. Come on, it’s the holidays. We understand you’re busy but geez… Have some damn holiday spirit. Don’t ruins someone’s day with your attitude. I looked at her name tag and was surprised she was a MANAGER Veronica —. Wow, great way to represent your company and she’s a great example to her employees. She also continued to mock the customer to other customers saying… You don’t want to be like this lady holding up the line. SERIOUSLY??? Please show some professionalism Veronica. Yes it’s the holidays, yes there are lines, and yes people are waiting but people expect lines at establishments like Honeybaked ham during the holidays. That is not an excuse to be rude and disrespectful towards people. You should actually be nicer during the holidays!

I tried calling to order a turkey today and was placed on hold twice. I finally had to hang up and when I called back, the acting manager, Ursula, was going to place me on hold again. I explained that I had already been on hold and she very rudely told me they were short-staffed and I could either«wait on hold or call back tomorrow.» I work in the Customer Service field and understand that staffing situations can be stressful and don’t mind holding as long as I am treated with respect. Ursula took out her frustration on me and that should never happen when in a management role. When I confronted Ursula about the way she spoke to me, she became defensive and even more rude.

Honeybaked Ham serves delicious, fresh ham. The service is pretty nice, but the lady at the cashier was a little angry at my father when he made an order on the phone since he wanted to place an order and pick it up. Also, he asked her a simple question and she started acting a bit stuck up and smart. Other than that, the ham overall is a bit expensive but tastes pretty good. Whenever I purchase one pound of ham, theres kind of a lot of fat on it and I do not eat the fat, so that goes to waste and I am probably left with six or seven ounces of ham. Overall, it is a pretty nice to purchase ham at for Thanksgiving or Christmas.

About 12 – 13 years ago I encountered my first experience with Honeybaked Ham. You see, I was«tricked» by my mom to pick up some product for a family Christmas gathering. I HADNOIDEA! If you don’t know, Honeybaked is a small store that features cooked hams but also does turkeys, meatloaf, ribs and all the sides that may be had with such meals. It is also a clusterfuck during the holidays because after all ITISHOLIDAYFOOD. I go to pick up mom’s ham only to get greeted by an hour long wait that literally wrapped around the building. Thanks MOM! But the ham was pretty friggin’ good, I must say. An hour wait long good? MAYBE. It is smoky, sweet and salty and when heated properly actually has a sweet crackly texture. ALMOST as good as homemade with brown sugar. I never had a commercial ready ham as good as this, no grocery store, no Costco, none. Recently while running errands and on the run, I try one of their sandwiches thinking it must be decent. It is the same ham, cut thick but the rest of the sandwich just didn’t meld well together. Maybe the bread was a little too grocery store but I kinda just picked at the ham, which was bomb. It is cheap($ 5ish), so I didn’t feel too bummed. Oh and they sell ham bones on their own for like 3 – 4 bucks. You have to be a cook to understand these guys and their value. My dad used to take the leftover bone after slicing most of the meat away and make a fabulous soup with the bone and any leftover meat. Split Pea or Navy Bean Soup on a chilly autumn /winters day, how comforting. I now take pleasure in making such soups, except I tend to go with Beer Cheddar or Seafood Gumbo. And the ham bone is still the backbone to such recipes. Honeybaked, I am fan. I am just not enough of a fool to wait in your holiday lines. I’ve got younger cousins/nephews for such duties.

Decent sandwich shop located next to a KFC. The lady making our sandwiches was quite slow though and it took her like a good 10 – 15 minutes to make two sandwiches. The ham they have here is good — it’s not like the usual deli meat you see in most sandwich shops. The prices seem reasonable too, like $ 5-$ 8 or so depending on what combos you get.

Ham is delicious! Still good days and days after picking it up. Service on the other was a little lacking. Whenever I call here to place an order or to check what time they open for holiday hours or just to ask how busy it is, they always seem annoyed! Sorry to be such an inconvenience. i’m just trying to give you guys some business geez. Anyway the last time I went to pick up a ham on Christmas Eve I was told they open at 7:30AM, but when I got there at 7:15AM to try and beat the line, they were already open and the line was just about 15 mins long. Not too bad, but I still felt tricked!

Everyone raves about Honeybaked Ham so I had to go get a ham for Christmas! Yes, I’ve never been here and I never really eat ham either so I was never interested enough to come by. My boyfriend LOVES ham so to make him extra happy on Christmas day, I brought ham over. First off, this Honeybaked Ham is located in an awful plaza. It’s right next to a KFC and has VERY limited parking. I want to say about 10 – 15 cars at most. As many of you ham lovers know, Honeybaked can get pretty crowded. Think the black Friday lines for ham. Crazy, right?! I know! I didn’t know how long of a wait it would be but I came the afternoon before Christmas to pick up my reserved 9.5 lb ham and it was about a 1.5 hour wait. The line was wrapped around the building. I couldn’t stand the parking situation so I parked behind Black Bear Diner across the street and walked over. I would suggest doing this around any holiday that requires you to go to this location. Secondly, the service provided to me was excellent. The cashier was such a lovely gentleman and he provided excellent suggestions on sauces for the ham. I knew nothing about ham and what was paired well so he helped me pick out something for my family to enjoy. Thanks dude! They ran out of instructions on how to reheat the ham but he remembered the directions and he wrote them down for me. Great employee! The girl who was running the long line was also so friendly. She constantly asked people if they needed bread or anything else while waiting so she could see if they had any products left in the back. She was selling us, of course, but she was so helpful because it was very chaotic. She helped managed the line to make it move more quickly and smoothly. Lastly, I did witness a customer issue. The customer was very upset because she placed a reservation for a piece of ham, she wanted something smaller 6 – 7 lbs but all there was left was 10+ lbs. She was gave the cashier and the manager her reservation number but it wasn’t anything like the rest of our reservation number so I think there was a miscommunication on both parts during the phone call. I was disappointed with how the manager responded to this situation and how she conducted herself in front of the rest of the customers waiting in line. Though the customer may be wrong about the reservation number, you never want to place the blame entirely on the customer. The manager really should have helped the customer find something comparable to what she was looking for to fulfill her needs as a customer. Instead, the manager kept telling the customer that she was wrong and she can’t help her and so forth. This isn’t how to run a business. Of course, the customer purchased what she could so she could provide a Christmas meal for her family but she wasn’t happy at all. My suggestion for this manager is to get the customers name and contact number along with the reservation number. It will limit this type of miscommunication. Remember to always please your customers! Your customers make your business and without us, you wouldn’t have a business at all.

One day, I was craving a turkey & cranberry sandwich. I asked my co-workers where I could acquire such a tasty sandwich, and someone recommended Honey Baked Ham on Mowry. I had no idea they served lunch! To my great surprise, they not only served a delicious turkey & cranberry sandwich, but also included a fresh side salad and baked beans. For about $ 7 I ended up with a huge plate of food and the sandwich of my dreams.

I never knew that this place was open everyday — not just on special holidays. They place always looks closed. They really need an «Open» neon sign hanging on their window. I came by today to get my free pound of turkey — Its actually the first time I’ve been inside this store. I’ve lived in Fremont since 1985 and have never been here, although I’ve been to KFC next door. I always assumed that they were closed. From the outside looking in, they really look closed. As I’m writing this review, I’m eating a slice of turkey. Its really good. Smokey, sweet, tender & juicy. As she rang up the price, it was close to $ 10 — a little steep for my liking, but it was free. I noticed that they have a sandwich making station. Sandwiches range in price from $ 5-$ 7, but keep in mind that you’re meats will be premium and freshly sliced. Ill have to keep them in mind the next time I want a sandwich. They sell mustard(champagne is what I saw) and I also saw soup mixes as well. I’ve heard a lot about their hams and turkeys, but never bought one but based on all the positive reviews on the meats — I’m sure they’re good.

i walked into the store expecting great things, the people were somewhat friendly. They made no suggestions, did not make me feel more comfortable, since i was new at this, and they did answer all my questions, but i didnt feel a sense of welcome or comfort, it was more of an obligation. The cheesecake looked good, and i liked the idea of the meal for 6 for approximately 30 dollars. ham and 3 large sides. I choose the spinach alfredo, cranberry salad, and stuffing. The spinach was good, i hear the cranberry salad was ok, and the stuffing… well it was runny and i just didnt like it, and i usually love stuffing. The ham was very good, i had lots of that. The cheesecake was very good. If i did decide to come back here i would get the ham again, the spinach again, and try new other stuff and hope for the best.

Ok, so maybe they don’t throw you a parade when you walk in. I went to pick up a ham and turkey breast for my christmas dinner. There was a really friendly girl at the entrance giving out free samples of ham soup and stuffing. I was not a fan of either. I went up to the front and gave the sales associate my reservation number and received my ham and turkey. So he didn’t smile or wish me a Merry Christmas for $ 80 it would have been nice, but its not a big deal to me. The turkey and ham were so good. The best damn turkey and ham you have ever ate in your life. I chose to heat up individual portions on the stove in a pan. They recommend serving room temp, but it tasted so much better piping hot.

It’s nice that not everything changes– when I was about 11 I used to get in line with my mom the day before Thanksgiving for about 20 – 30 minutes just to pick up our preordered honey ham and this year was no exception! Despite the 30 – 35 minute wait in line(by myself since mom was working– I feel so grown up now! XD) the ham was delicious as always and I love taking pieces of the honey glaze. The ham lives up to its name and is also perfect paired with the traditional favorite of pandesal(Filipino dinner rolls) and aged cheese(queso de bola). Toast the bread, add a dollop of mayo and you’re good! *Props to Maurice for making the indoor experience more entertaining. He effortlessly guided us to our places at the check out lines and made sure each new group that entered was informed of the specials.

BUYTHESANDWICHES! I live close by so I thought I would drop in one of these days. Went with a couple friends. Only one person was working there that day, but she got our order done lickety-split. I ordered(I think) the classic. I forgot exactly what it was called, but basically with the signature honeybaked ham. They also have a couple unique breads to choose from. First bite into the sandwich and it was just AWESOME. The ham really makes the sandwich. The ham is so flavorful and they stuff your sandwich with onions, lettuce, bell peppers, pepperoncinis, etc. One of my friends got the ceasar salad which I thought it was good.(pretty big serving too)
Definitely order a sandwich here! And for $ 5~ you can’t beat the price. NOTE: there’s no seating area. We ended up picking up food here and having a little picnic in the park.

Decided to order some food here for Christmas Day dinner since the bf had some certificates sitting around for ages. Their hours here are horrendous; they close at 6PM every day and closed all day on Sundays. Not only that, their shop is bare and dark and the staff was not very friendly. I had spent quite a bit of time looking over the selection online only to go into the store and be told none of it was available. The associate told me they were only offering one meal around this time of year, so I basically had no choice but to buy the small feast meal that included a small ham, turkey, and 3 side dishes. I was told it was enough food for 10 people, so I envisioned huge chunks of meat the size of my head, especially for the hefty price of $ 75. Upon pickup, the measly portion sizes were a huge huge huge disappointment, forcing me to panic and order more food for our dinner elsewhere. The 2 stars were a result of the ham and turkey which were actually tasty. The sides were no bueno(for reference we got cheesy potatoes, creamed corn, and potato salad). Overall, not worth the price tag or the hassle. Next time I’ll be hitting up Costco for their whole ham for $ 25 instead.
