Waited 20 minutes, asked the guy if I am at the right place. He said yes and I should just wait. Another employee told me that I am at the completely wrong place and the store I wanted to go to is on the other side of the plaza.

This place was surprisingly headache free, the staff was professional. I had to wait because there were 2 families being helped by the 2 staff, and two men cut me. When they got to me, they knowledgably walked me through my options, cleaned up my plan(I had some unneeded charges/services), did some stuff on my account, and got my phone ready to use!

Customer service is when you service the customer to meet their needs, not your needs or your companies needs. This location falsely gave information regarding the iphone 5S and their stock availability to trick customers into resigning two year contracts with them. 1. False information was given claiming that the silver and gold were in backorder, but the black iphone could be receieved at doorstep within 3 days of ordering(turns out its a month), and by signing the contract you are already bound to the terms of agreement, so you cant cancel the order to stand in line and get one in person. 2. Over the phone, the person answering the phone clearly stated they still had iphone 5S in stock, i asked what was the availability, they said they had some, but one person can only purchase one per account. I asked if they had customers in the store, they didnt. I arrived in the store 20 minutes later to discover they said they didnt have any stock, which i think meant they didnt receive any stock to begin with, because every person activating/renewing an account takes on average 20 minutes to finish the process, at most there would have been 2~3 customers before me, and the person on the other side of the phone clearly stated that if i went over now they could sell me one. 3. Ill give them an extra star because they were friendly, but due to them downright lying about stock availability and making promises that wont and cant be fulfilled, I will never come back, and i suggest the same about anyone who is coming here to renew a phone contract.

My family and I have gotten our cellular needs here for many many years. One of the best things about this place is that the employees are bi or trilingual. Not that it really matters to me or my brother, but it’s a nice feature for my mom, especially since they have a lot of the information available in writing in Chinese! They’ll even cater to your dialect!(Imagine what a nightmare it must be to skim over those crazy fine-print contracts in your second language!) In addition, the people here are very friendly and helpful. They are always very organized, and try to get my family the best deal possible! The guy helping us gave us tips(mail each rebate in a separate envelope), and was more than happy to draw out or costs and savings in an organized fashion, all the while not leaving out taxes and fees. We got a spot-on estimate! He also provided us three blank envelopes to remind us to send those rebates in. Not to mention, he had a great sense of humor, and cracked jokes with us while activating our new phones: D I also really like that he didn’t try to push data phones or plans on us. All the sample phones were very clearly organized by category and price. Post-rebate free phones were put together, as were BOGO phones. When we expressed interest in the phones with rebates, he deftly swept the Blackberries and other fancy dohickies aside, and focused on explaining the true cost of the phones we were interested in. My mom didn’t want to switch phones, but he got her one for free anyway, and told her to just sell it, since it retails for nearly 200 bucks. Nice :) We could pay less at an AT&T location outside of Fremont(because Fremont’s sales tax is 0.25% higher than CA’s) but we still come here, because of the quality service we have always received! At the end of the whole shebang, we got a couple of awesome complimentary mugs, free phone speakers for both my brother and I, and about 300 bucks worth in rebates! I might live in San Diego… but I still renew my contract here every two years! It’s THAT awesome :)

Impact Communications, better known by it’s Chinese Name(Ren Ren Chuan Xun), is where I go to get my mobile hookups(literally). It is located conveniently in the Little Taipei Mall off of Warm Springs Blvd. Great for taking care of your cellular business while others shop for groceries at Lion Supermarket or get tutored at MIT. There are a lot of things that I like about this place. They have a wide variety of sample AT&T phones(other than the iPhone) that you can choose from, laid out on the counters for real-time side-by-side comparisons. They are very knowledgeable and tell you straight up if you’re about to get ripped off. The employees are super friendly and are willing to spend time helping you weigh pros and cons without pressuring you into a sale. Case in point: my younger sister used to go into Impact once a week after tutoring to chat with one of the employees about her future Blackberry Bold. He knew she didn’t have the $ 300 to buy the phone, but was willing to help her out as if she did. When she finally bought the phone, he celebrated with her because he knew how long she had been coveting it. That’s what I call great customer service!
