Food are okay but too expensive for that kind of sandwich. The one star is for the service. Very slow even only 1 other party. Most of our orders are wrong. And the biggest problem is: they are not friendly at all. Come on … try to smile and greet the customers next time. Seems like the they hate to work over there. One visit is enough.

A great place for lunch! The wait was fair and we got our food pretty fast. Customer service is above average. The Ball tip sandwich is definitely a top choice along with the BBQ beef. Overall, great place for some fresh sandwiches.

Stopped by on our search for BBQ in the San Jose area. We decided to visit Kinder’s in Fremont. All recommendations lead top the«Famous Ball Tip» sandwich. Ordered one with the jalapeño onion garlic mix and tequila lime fries. I am now one of those that recommend it as well.

Came here with my parents for a late lunch. BBQ. I had the plate with two options, Ribs and tri-tip. The ribs fell off the bone, the trip-tip was delicious. Nice big portion. The plates are large –good to share. The BBQ were very good(needed some meat to be awesome). The slaw was tasty. 4 – 5 types of sauces on the table = heaven. Good seating area.

I’ve never had a bad order at any other Kinder’s location, until now. Also have never experienced the unprofessionalism I have here. Balltip sandwich was dry and chewy.

First… The dudes that work there need to stop smoking weed on their breaks cause obviously they look high and reek. I’m 420 friendly but there’s a time and place for it. Two: Also… I didn’t like waiting for 30 minutes for my Food and when I approached them the tray was sitting at the counter the whole DAMN time and the high a$$ dude at the counter just gave me an «AHhh» look and said, oh it’s ready there ya go.” Idiot!!! Three: the food sucks. The bread is super dry and hard. The food lacks flavor and freshness. They charge like they’re a 5 star eatery when it’s actually grade D and one star. Four: avoid this place! Not worth the money and time. Been here twice and I gave them a second chance and nothing has changed.

There weren’t a lot of choices on the menu. It’s either sandwiches or combo or meat. I ordered a full rack($ 22.95) using my groupon $ 20. They charged me extra $ 6+ as tips because I ordered take out. I mean c’mon tips are VOLUNTARY! Anyways I got my ribs in like 2 minutes which is pretty good cuz I didn’t have to wait for a long time. But when I got home and opened the ribs, it’s a very very very small portion. I bet it wasn’t even a half rack portion. And the ribs taste horrible! So dry and so hard !!! I’m so mad, I’m never going back screw them.

Burgers the way you want it and the special sauces is what makes this place a must try. Don’t stop there try their sandwiches or BBQ combo platter or just by some quality meat to take home and cook yourself. Either way just try it because you won’t be disappointed especially the service is always with a smile.

My favorite smokehouse thus so far. Very casual with a fresh meat counter. Just one meat counter but filled up and neatly organized and displayed. Ordered the 2x and enjoyed it very very much. I usually don’t favor smoked(as others are over smoked and dry) this place was not. My quarter chicken was moist and lightly smoked and my 3 ribs weren’t very big but very meaty and smoked nicely, soft and moist. I had 2 sides included of BBQ beans and potato salad. The beans were lightly sweet and beans were soft(other places tend to cook till al dente which I don’t like) so these beans were soft(like Van de Kamps pork and beans) sauce was nicely seasoned and lightly sweet), the potato salad was kinda hard textured but still very ok.(thus why it’s a 4 star instead of 5 star) but when I return(very soon) I’ll try the macaroni pasta salad or even the coleslaw(if offered) The buffalo chicken sandwhich was tasty as well. It was not as hot as I thought. I expected that buffalo style would be hotter, but safe for all(lol). The side order of fries was golden but it might have been a tad over salted as the salt lover in the group eventually got a slight headache.(Another reason for the 4 stars) The takeaway is the smoke is perfect for me, the seasonings in the bean and potato salad was perfect for me. It’s lightly smoke tasting, moist and not salty(some places tend to over cook and over salt the meat). The chicken sandwhich was tasty, moist and buns were ultra soft. Have always been a regular at this location and I am always satisfied. Never has this place failed to fulfill my order and make it to it’s perfection. The owner of the store is extremely friendly and the workers have amazing customer service. Whenever I receive my order they always make sure to see if I need anything else before they get back to work. I know the lunch rush could be a little crazy and all employees can’t tend to every single customer at once, but that is understandable, they are busting their butt to fulfill everyones need. The ball tip is highly recommended, it is juicy and tender, on top of that the BBQ sauce is amazing. I definitely recommended for others to try this place!

I usually call in my order for a ball tip to go here. There was one time when I had to come pick up my order, and they totally forgot about it! No one was even in the store. Each time that I’ve been in, I can totally see what everyone is talking about and how it is a mess inside and there’s leftover trash on the tables. Sure, we shouldn’t be too hard on them about that, but it’s really unprofessional if the place is dead with no one inside and the workers aren’t doing their job to keep it clean and tidy! Not sure if the person who owns this place also owns the other Kinders in the bay area, but they really need to step up their game. If they had better customer service and cared about how their place looked, maybe it wouldn’t be so dead all the time.

Needed 50 lunches delivered for a meeting event i was hosting. The delivery was on time which was great and the person we worked with over the phone was courteous, hence the 3 stars for the excellent catering service. Unfortunately, the food was just ok… :( 50 sandwiches Ball tips — ok bbq beef — the most popular bbq chicken — ok veggie — ok BBQ beans were a little too sweet for my taste. Overall food was ok and we would still have them cater for us since the service we got was good. You also get a bottle of BBQ sauce. :)

Ball tip(sounds like a funny cut?) sandwich was great. Fresh produce brought out the awesome flavors. The pulled pork sandwich was pretty good also, but no produce. Bob W.‘s tip of putting BBQ sauce in the baked beans is the real deal Holyfield. Usually, I’m not a big fan of baked beans. I put the hot BBQ sauce in mine, but I’m sure the others would work just fine. Plain BBQ sauces on all tables, but the garlic, hot and other sauces had to be picked up from the condiment section with napkins and utensils. There is a check-in deal on Unilocal, but we had a buy-two-sandwiches-get-free-combo coupon, so we got two potato salads, two containers of baked beans, two drinks and two sandwiches for the price of two sandwiches. It’s a black business card sized thing. Also picked up some meat to cook at home from their counter.

Damn service needs help! maybe if the boy could take his headphones out of his ears he could hear customers asking for help. Smh He forgot my sides, forgot my drink, forgot I asked for bbq sauce on the side, Seriously just take the headphones out of your ears dude– Not that hard.

Really good bbq food, but not great service. I redeemed the Unilocal check-in coupon and I guess I misread it. You don’t get a «free combo». I thought it was like a BOGO deal but it’s not… You just get to add beans and potato salad to your sandwich. I was kinda bummed but not totally. The lady at the register was incapable of explaining the deal in plain English so we stood there for like 3 minutes, and I think she was just as confused as me.

Opened on July 4th, not busy, ran out of what I wanted to try so we tried the bbq pulled pork which was really good. Bread was nice and soft, meat was tender, juicy, packed with flavor and just really embraced the taste buds on your tongue but holy moly can this place get expensive.

First, the place was really dirty. tables have not been wiped down, and there condiments table was disgusting. My boyfriend and I both had the hotlink sandwich. The hot link had amazing flavor, but the bread was hard as a rock! We couldn’t even bite through the bread, literally!!! *try the garlic bbq sauce, so good. This was my first time here, I may try it again. Just hoping the bread will be a little better

Do you get jealous? Well, I do! I get supremely jealous of what other people eat! Food jealousy brought me in! My co-workers light up with pure happiness when they talk about Kinders rib eye sandwiches. How it tastes soooooooo good. How they can’t wait to go back. How everyone they went with said that it tastes soooooo good. Well, I got food jealousy, who wouldn’t if they talked about this like an old hot lover! With Unilocal help, I was able to find this location closest to me. We arrive at this Asian stripe mall and the parking is horrible! There were a lot of hungry Asians at this mall! So, we ended up parking at the lot across the way. Once we arrived, it was the most emptiest shop in the mall! How sad for Kinder’s but lucky for us! No waiting. We ordered the rib eye sandwich, the famous ball tip steak sandwich and tequila lime sweet potato fries. We only waited 10 – 15 minutes and our orders were up. Since we both wanted to try each other’s sandwiches, we split both in half. Big mistake! Because the rib eye steak sandwich(my order) was so much more better than the ball tip steak! It was juuuicy, tender and bursting with meat flavors. Soooooo goood! After eating the rib eye, I felt the ball tip steak was a bit on the dry side. Ohh weee — I’m glad to get this rib eye sammi out of my system. Now I can go back to work and brag about… How it tastes soooooooo good. How I can’t wait to go back. How everyone that I took said that it tastes soooooo good. Jealousy defused!

I just really love kinders. I get pretty much the same sandwich each time I come here, but I have dabbled with other menu items as well, all delicious. I also love that you get a free meal in your birthday if you sign up for the kinders club online! My favorite, soft roll with pastrami and aged cheddar, no tomato or pickle, add mustard, onion and pepperoccini… then dip that bad boy in some bbq sauce and munch away!!!
