Mei Ge, MD, MS

Just meet Doctor Mei twice but pretty impressed by her wiliness to answer my questions all the time and did a very successful surgery for my wife (ping) in the early morning as what she always does.
Just want to say thank you and very good job!

Just got back from a visit with Dr. Ge, and we are SO glad we ignored a previous review that both my wife and I feel is a serious misrepresentation of the good doctor.
My wife and I just moved to Fremont (me moving back to Fremont), and my wife searched high and low for a new OB-​Gyn. After we both vetted a number of physicians in the area, we decided that my wife should go see Dr. Ge. Since we had some issues that we wanted to discuss with Dr. Ge (as a couple), I accompanied my wife to her first initial visit with Dr. Ge. (so yes, this is a first person account of a OB-​Gyn, by a male… but definitely an accurate account).
Checking in was a breeze. As a physician at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF), the office is state-​of-​the-​art. All records are electronic, so the wife didn’t have to fill out a ton of paper forms as a new patient.
In the exam room, the wife got a brief introduction by the nurse before Dr. Ge came in, who was very thorough in getting the wife’s patient history and making sure she had all the proper tests done before (my wife was actually surprised that the nurse was so thorough, as she had never experienced this at another OB-​Gyn before).
After a brief wait, Dr. Ge came in as cheerful as you could imagine. She was very friendly and warm as she got to know the wife, wanting to know all about her personal and medical history with genuine interest. (My wife told me afterwards that she really felt like the Dr. Ge actually cared about her as a person, which she definitely did not how she’s felt in the past with her previous OB-​Gyn). Dr. Ge’s bedside manners were phenomenal (from what I could tell behind the Sports Illustrated I had strategically placed in front of my face, blocking my view of the actual examination… I tried to block my ears after I heard the doctor talking about warming up the speculum to make her more comfortable — but I really wanted to finish the article)… I verified with my wife afterwards if my thoughts were in-​line with hers, so this is truth.
Wrapping up the exam, Dr. Ge gave the wife a list of PCPs that she recommended, as I learned that as a woman you need both an OB-​Gyn and another primary care physician to get all your tests done. She had the nurse come in with information to log into the PAMF online portal, where you can access all your medical records and interact with Dr. Ge if needed.
All in all, from my own personal experiences with physicians and talking to the wife about her experiences with physicians, we both came to the consensus that this was one of the best experiences with a doctor. Ever. We have complete faith in Dr. Ge and her future care of my wife, and if Vic gets lucky… we are both confident that Dr. Ge is the right doctor to help grow this family 9 months at a time.

I general have a good experience with Dr. Ge. She is always willing to answer my questions. And I know she is very professional. The only thing is that my baby is born in Sunday and she did not delivered my baby.
