Got the turkey sandwich w/chips. Very good sandwich, not too messy, and plenty of sandwich for the price. If I get a chance again I’ll try one of their other sandwiches.

There is nothing better than a warm and melty sandwich any time really. So it’s always exciting when I see this truck. I love the crab sandwich, thats jam packed with real crab and so good!

So, I started frequenting this truck because they were pretty regularly in front of @YC, a café in San Jose near Japantown on Tuesday nights, which is near where I live. It was super convenient for me – get home from working out after work, shower, go out & see what I want to have for dinner. Now that the food truck group on Tuesday nights no longer exists, I have a hard time hunting these guys down… So, yes, this is another of my favorite food trucks. Grilled cheese sandwich & tomato soup – yum, it’s fantastic classic comfort food, great for a rainy, chilly day. So, they do variations of grilled cheese/melts. I’ve had Crab a hold of me: Real crab, green and red onions, celery, special seasoning, tomato, and mild cheddar on sourdough Head over heels: Smoked ham, mustard, avocado and mild cheddar on Texas toast or sourdough Hamsome gentleman: Deli-sliced ham, Granny Smith apples, and mild cheddar on sourdough Love birds: Deli-sliced turkey, bacon, avocado, tomato, and Swiss cheese on Texas toast Pizza my melt: Provolone or Pepper Jack, Marinara and Pepperoni on Garlic Bread That’s amore: Fresh Mozzarella with Tomato, Basil, & Balsamic Vinegar on Sourdough I think my favorite is the Love birds. The sandwiches come with potato chips that look like they’re homemade(not out of a bag) & pickle slice. Sometimes, you can get the creamy option of tomato soup, which is quite good. So, you can find out where they’ll be on Facebook, website, & Twitter. Their webpage has a menu of their usual melts, & they sometimes have specials that aren’t usually on the menu. Our work gets a different truck each day for lunch, and today this truck came. They’ve come before, so this would probably be my 2nd or 3rd time trying them. Their food is basically non-traditional grilled cheese sandwiches. This time: Pizza sandwich: ~8″ long, sourdough sliced bread. Decently large. Basic ingredients of pepperoni, cheese(your choice – I picked mozzarella), pizza sauce, tomatoes. Bread was heavily buttered and grilled crispy – pretty good. Was ~$ 7(came with chips and a pickle.) Not too bad relative to other food trucks in price. I would say 7⁄10 – well cooked, not the most amazing thing ever. Most stuff I’ve had from here was good and relatively okay in price, and filled me up alright for lunch. #truck #grilledcheese #sandwich

Melts my stomach lining. Seriously, I got one of their melts with avocado on it; I don’t remember the name. The avocado tasted funny and I thought I had a hair in my mouth. I opened the sandwich up and, it turns out, they thought it perfectly fine to put a rotten brown avocado on my sandwich. I wonder if they thought that because it’s a melt, people won’t open it up and inspect the ingredients??? Anyway, I’m done with this place.

Tried the grilled cheese with real crab meat. Super delicious. Not going to lie, though… I actually double-checked the price on the menu when the cashier told me that my total for the grilled cheese + a bottle of water was over $ 16. Seems a little pricey, no?

LOVELOVELOVE Melts my heart! I am a huge fan of grilled cheese and these guys do it right! I am a vegetarian, so I usually get That’s Amore or the BLV(be Lovin’ Veggies) I’ve also had the Pizza My Melt as they are super nice about modifying some of their meat sandwiches if you ask them to take certain things out. All sandwiches come with Potato Chips and you can opt for a Pickle spear instead of more chips if you like. They use fresh, good quality ingredients and that’s why their sandwiches taste so good. Be ready to wait though, it does take them awhile to prepare their sandwiches.

Kept hearing about this truck and so I arranged for Melts My Heart to come out to our Relay event. Could not wait for the truck to arrive for lunch. It was had to decide what to get as all the sandwiches looked/sounded delicious. I went with the Pizza my melt. Thought I had died and gone to grilled cheese heaven! Ridiculously scrumptious! Everyone was raving about their various grilled cheese. Perfect for events with children and adults. The wait is a little longer then most food trucks… but it’s worth the wait. I can’t wait to eat at this truck again and they are on my list of trucks to work with for future events!

I tried the Love Birds which is a turkey and avocado grilled cheese sandwich. Each sandwich comes with kettle chips from Costco, and you get to choose between a pickle, mini brownie, or a shot of tomato soup as your second side. For the sandwich, they ask you if you want make the bread parmesan crusted, and after I said OK, they said, «Alright that’s .90 cents more.» So be careful, it ain’t free! The sandwich itself was OK, I wasn’t wow’ed after my first bite. I’ve had better from other grilled cheese trucks. It seemed like their most popular sandwich was their pizza version of a grilled cheese, but I was trying to be «healthy» that day, har har. I’d likely try it next time but wouldn’t go out of my way to visit this truck again.

Watch out Grilled Cheese Bandits, Melts My Heart is definitely a worthy competitor. My first experience with them was when they were posted out in front of @YC for their Tuesday night food truck lineup. It was almost closing time, but they were kind enough to take my order in. I only ordered and paid for a half order of the Crab Melt, but they ended up giving me a full order which was so generous of them. The Crab Melt was seriously one of the best seafood sandwiches I have ever had the pleasure to indulge in. The next time I gave them a visit again in front of @YC, I decided to go for That’s Amore which is their version of an Italian mozzarella, basil, tomato, and balsamic vinegar grilled cheese. Again, it was cheesy heaven all around. Overall, if you’re craving some awesome melts then definitely track this truck down!

Their sandwiches certainly aren’t bad, but most of their menu is just mediocre. I always get hopeful from looking at the photos and reading the descriptions, order, and then come away with an overall feeling of «meh.» If you *must* eat from Melts My Heart, order the tomato soup with grilled cheese. These items are the only noteworthy things they serve(in my humble opnion). Very simple, fresh and homemade-tasting; even the bread for the grilled cheese. Seriously good eats. Sadly, the rest of their food just doesn’t quite live up to it.

Best Grilled Cheese sandwiches — EVER! I hired Melts My Heart to cater my son’s 1st birthday party at a park a couple weeks ago. Brian and his team were a CHARM to work with and they were responsive and attentive to my needs. The sandwiches were hot, fresh and made to order. My guests LOVED the idea of the food truck and they LOVED the sandwiches even more. The top 4 sandwiches we chose to serve were: Love Birds Pizza My Melt HAMsome Gentleman JT Junior Melt(for the kids) Every sandwich we’ve ever eaten here(we’ve also stalked Melts My Heart at various food truck events) has been HOT and has had more than a sufficient amount of cheese and fillings — no wimpy sandwiches like with other«bandits.» :) We couldn’t get enough of Melts My Heart at my son’s bday party so we followed them the next morning to a Moveable Feast event where we were finally able to try The Catch(salmon) and their special Crab salad sandwich. Both were really good and flavorful but you will need to go there early b/c these sandwiches will sell out. I would HIGHLY recommend Melts My Heart to any grilled cheese fanatic and to anyone who is looking to hire a reasonably priced, delicious, and easy to work with caterer.

Melts My Heart stops by @YC on Tuesday nights every now and then and also makes a regular 10pm appearance at 4th Street Bowl every other Thursday night. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious and I would for sure repeat any of these wonderful treats. Pizza My Melt — Provolone and Pepperoni on Garlic Bread with a side of Marinara to dip. This is a huge sandwich that’s completely awesome. I’m a big fan. JT Junior Melt — Just your plain ol’ classic grilled cheese. The ultimate comfort food! Love it! Bananas Over You — I’ve only seen this on their Specials menu once, but its something to dream about. Warm toasted buttermilk bread spread with creamy Nutella and banana slices covered in whipped cream. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! It’s the simple stuff that gets me the most excited sometimes. Yay for MMH!

Late night bowling + alcohol = The NEED for food. Okay, technically, *I* am not the one drinking, but you get the picture. Thank goodness Melts My Heart has been coming to hang out at the Fourth Street Bowling Alley every other Thursday night. I didn’t get a chance to eat dinner at a normal-person’s hour yesterday, so I was eagerly awaiting MMH’s arrival. As soon as I finished my last game, I zipped out to the parking lot to get my grub on. I had the«Love Birds,» which had deli-sliced turkey, bacon, avocado, tomato, & Swiss on Texas toast. Thank you to Brian, who recommended a little Parmesan on the bread. Mmmmmm I scoffed at my friend who just got a plain-o-grilled cheese sandwich. Come on, when you have all of these great, creative variations, why be so boring.(Ahem) I stand corrected. Even his«JT Junior Melt» with mild cheddar was really good! You know that moment when you bite into a piece of grilled bread that’s been lathered in butter? You close your eyes and let out a little moan-that’s it. Plus, MMH uses real cheddar, not that fake stuff. Thanks for making my late night dinner, MMH. See you in two-weeks!

Delicious healthy homemade tomato soup and flavorful sandwiches. What more can you ask for? The crunchiness of the bread was amazing. I had the HAMSOME sandwich, the Granny Smith apples in it added so much flavor! My other friends got the Love Bird and the Date Night and were completely blown away. Super friendly owner who seriously doesn’t look a day over 25! Lol, thanks Brian for everything! –Michelle, Ravi, Arielle and Charles

I’m a sucker for anything«heart» even if it’s just the name. Cue me discovering Melts My Heart. I’ve been wanting to try them for awhile since I discovered them on Unilocal, but I always missed them… BUT they happened to nearby on… wait for it. Valentine’s Day! How fitting! I got the«Love Birds» grilled cheese — turkey bacon avo tomato and swiss, and also a cup of tomato soup, I love tomato soup! The sandwich was wonderful melty goodness, it came with a side of homemade chips(I think), which was nice. It wasn’t crispy by the time I got to work(darn, I shoulda taken a bite on the way back to work!) but it was still good, and my cousin was regretful she did not respond to my gchat invite! muwahaha. The tomato soup I think was $ 3 for a cup which came with some baby croutons. I like my tomato soup really tomatoey, and it’s nearly opaque! The soup seemed watered down, or they added something else to it… wasn’t worth it IMO. However, dont let the soup deter you from trying this truck out. How can you say no to grilled cheese? Unless you’re lactose intolerant I suppose that’s OK.

We came upon Melts My Heart by chance, and now we’re hooked! While the focus is melts, there is a great range of tastes. And the dipping sauce and sides options are terrific! The Pizza My Melt sandwich was delicious — especially for the price! Sometimes pizza taste can be overpowering, but this was just right, and it was nicely complemented by the green apple slices on the side. The owner really enjoys what he does, which made it fun to try new things. We’re following them on Twitter now(@MMHTruck), so we can see them often!

The food was FANTASTIC. Brian was very helpful and went out of his way to easily package the food for the car so I could take it home. I ordered the Pizza my melt and my mom ordered the That’s amore. Both were fantastic, the Pizza melt tasted amazing and the sauce was good. The Thats amore was also very good, but less of my type of food. The chips that came with the melts were also very tasty. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend it. The only problem I had was price, but even then it wasn’t that big of a deal. Loved: –The food! –The service! Liked: –They accepted credit cards, I forgot my cash so this was great Neutral: –The prices, but they weren’t that bad.($ 15-$ 20 for 2 people). Dislike: –Nothing!

thought they were going to be parked at LinkedIn as I was heading to Santa Clara. Turns out they were down the street. You gotta update your twitters guys! Got a bacon grilled cheese with jalapenos cause they were out of pepperoni. Very tasty with the pepper jack cheese. I also got to try their house made tomato soup which is also solid. Classic combo right? im always looking for a good grilled cheese and glad to see MMH on the map
