I have very fond memories of Meyer Park: kindergarten ice cream parties on the playground, tennis and basketball courts, and best of all the five-lane swimming pool. The playground is fairly small and skimpy, but the lap pool alone makes this park. From the sixth grade pool party to the Stingrays competitive youth swimming team, Meyer pool will always be my premier swimming location. Consider making a habit of swimming; it’s extremely fun and your future self will be eternally grateful to you for having a very healthy lifestyle. Also, diving board!

Our favorite place to swim — whether it’s the GGHA summer swim times for the family, or the Stingray swim team meets, or the Masters swim team practices, and they even have kids water polo classes! The pool and park are well maintained — remember this is a GGHA owned and maintained park(not a city park). No graffiti, lots of open grass and trees, a basketball court(open to public) and a tennis court(open to residents for a fee). One end of the park is unofficially used as a dog area — but the owners are very good about picking up after their pets. Year round community events are held here, such as the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, Easter egg hunts, and our favorite, movies in the park during the summer! Be careful with your kids and pets during school pickup and dropoff times — some of the SUV/minivan moms will run you over without thinking twice.

Fun little play area appropriate for all ages of kids. Also, the open space in the park is great for play and picnic activities.

Attended a small, intimate picnic reception for a family Christening over the weekend. This isn’t a huge park but a neighborhood park for residence in the area. This little quaint park has just enough ammenities to keep your guests happy. Swimming pool, small tennis and basketball courts, a cute tiny playground and a few picnic tables with a grill or two for bbqs. The other side of this picnic spot is a cute little gazebo along with a picnic table and grill as well. The restroom facilties are pretty clean too. I was very happy with that! This is a simple, local park — fun place for the entire family to enjoy!
