Such a great homestyle restaurant! Went here twice for lunch and loved it both times. Huge portions and great prices. Such neat specialty coffee flavors! Biscuits and gravy could not have been any better. That dish is the real deal. The steak and eggs were super tasty too. And holy pancake! I subbed that for toast and it was absolutely a fantastic choice. My espresso was hot and fresh and I loved every sip. Absolutely recommend it here for the great food and lovely service.

Today we decided that since we would be visiting family in the area that we would try something new to eat before hand. I had heard about this place before but have never actually go in and tried anything on the menu. With the higher star count vs others in the area… and the fact that they were open until 8pm vs 2pm like some others it was the winner. When we arrived I wasn’t sure the place was even open. The parking lot looked empty and there was a sign on the door. Turns out that they were open and the sign on the door was their hours of operation. When we walked in the place was pretty empty. There were 2 tables that were occupied, but that to me isn’t busy at all. We were told that we could sit where ever we wanted. So we chose a booth away from everyone else. Our server came over right away and brought us a menu. She told us what the special was for today as well as they serve breakfast all day long. She took our drink order and left allowing us ample time to look over the menu. I struggled with if I wanted breakfast or lunch. As I looked over the options I came across the specialty coffee section. One stood out to me… the«chunky monkey». It was espresso, bananas, caramel, steamed milk, whip cream, and more caramel. Once the decision was made that I was going breakfast I decided to order this coffee drink as well. Obviously my coffee came out first. I let it set for a minute to cool before diving into the banana goodness. All I could taste was the banana… but it was good. Weird, but good! Shortly after our food came out. I went with the Denver omelet while my dining partner went with the club Panini. His sandwich looked good and he was kind enough to let me try the fries. The fries were amazing. They had a batter of some sorts but I cannot put my finger on exactly what it was. My omelet was fantastic as well. The sourdough bread was cut think which was nice as most places are like paper thin. The omelet was cooked correctly and stuffed full of goodness. What I liked especially is how the eggs were not overcooked. There were no burn or brown marks anywhere to be found. They didn’t skimp out on filling either. Plenty of onion, cheese, ham, and peppers. I was also informed many times that his Panini was delicious. Our waitress did a nice job keeping our table clean as well as our drinks filled. She was the only one working the 4 tables that were in at the time of our visit and she did well bouncing between them. For the price I paid for the meal it was well worth it. 2 people eating for about $ 20 is a steal in my book! If you are ever in the Fremont area and looked for a good place to eat… this is the place to check out. You won’t be disappointed.

Moondance is the best restaurant in Fremont, hands down. Every time I visit Fremont, I am sure to eat here at least once whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner. For breakfast, my personal favorite is the Crab Omlette. This must be about 2000 calories of absolute creamy deliciousness. It is so good, like lick-your-plate good! I’ve also had and enjoyed the Banana Fosters french toast and the stuffed hash browns. As for lunch and dinner, the burgers are excellent, local meat from Berghorst. The Olive Burger is my personal favorite(definitely can’t find an Olive Burger down in NC) but I also have really loved the Chicken Salad sandwich and the vegetarian panini. I’ve always had A+ experiences here. There is an amazing waitress named Lori who is sure to make your day even better.

I have held off on writhing this review because I wanted to give the them a fair shot. But nothing has changed in the 8 times we have eaten there. For starters servers are kinda rude you walk in, there is no sigh to say«seat your self» and no greater to say hello please seat your selfs just a little awkward standing there at the door not knowing what to do… Next, servers or should I say«server» was a little slow getting to our table. For a Saturday morning I would have thought that you would have more than one server working, but we did see the owner sitting at a table having her morning coffee and never got up. And now to the food… Not great… I had the steak and eggs«over easy». Eggs where over easy on the outside but not on the inside very under cooked on the inside. Now on to the steak, now I know it’s a breakfast steak and not a high quality T-bone but at least cook it to order. I orderd it «medium» what I got was something between rare and frozen. No I’m not just saying that either it was really really rare after two cuts to be sure it was under done my plate was bloody. Now I know this has been a long winded review but this is not the first time we have had bad service here. O ya and when I sent my steak back no one ever apologized for it being wrong and the owner still never moved from her seat… Ps work on your menu it’s to cluttered and hard to read.
