Everything you will ever need, from milk to lotto tickets. Owners and staff are nicest people around. Get there early and pick up the homemade tamales.

I live in San Jose but work in Fremont a lot and came across this lovely store today. I must say I noticed how much variety they have in candy, that is a plus for me :) Nice customer service from one of the owners who helped me. Plus I grabbed a 75 cent beer on my way out. I wanted to try the deli but no time next time I am around I will. I reccomend this cute shop!

Don’t shop here unless you are o.k. with being overcharged and charged for items you didn’t buy! Seriously, I’m disappointed to have to write a bad review. Mr. Mikey is a store I’ve patronized regularly for 10 years. In the past I’d noticed the receipt was a little off when buying a large amount of items but shrugged off the discrepancies because of the convenience of the store having produce and deli items and grocery items and besides, everyone makes mistakes. Since the receipt isn’t itemized by item, there is no way to match up the amounts and purchases when buying a lot of groceries. I’d like to think that folks who are so nice to your face are honest in their business practices but that’s not true of Mr. Mikey’s. Recently I checked my receipt to the amount charged on my bank account and it was way off! There was a charge that I couldn’t explain on the receipt when tallying my purchases and the total charged to my bank was a lot more than what was on my receipt. I notified my bank and they investigated, refunded the overcharge. Lesson learned! Mr. Mikey’s has lost my business and I’m spreading the word that this is not the great little store that people think it is because honesty and integrity are critical in this crazy world we live in and we have too many choices to waste money on stores that constantly overcharge.

Too expensive. Seriously?! Chips for $ 4, milk for $ 7?! My 4th time buying milk in a hurry, and I get home and it’s spoiled again! I did not just pay $ 7 for spoiled milk. Disgusting.

I live close by Mr. Mikey’s, and it is very convenient having a place to run for last minute buys or quick lunch options. I like their sandwiches and hot wings. Overall, their grocery items tend to be pricy so I don’t do full grocery trips there. But the staff are friendly, and their selection is pretty good for being a neighborhood market.

worst breakfast burritos ever. it was 80% mashed potatoes with a tiny bit of egg mixed in, frozen cheese and terrible salsa. mashed potatoes. in. my. burrito. that is not ok.

Under-rated, great neighborhood store. Some prices are a little higher than the chain stores, but there’s a great vibe! Great selection, great deli, and everyone I’ve come across there is friendly! I’ll shop here for a few items or a quick trip before I go to a chain supermarket!

Trees are funny things to look at, aren’t they? The palms look polished, the evergreens heavy with dew, the deciduous like a boxer hanging on to his last few yellow teeth. On a reprieve from our winter mega-storm, I followed my sandwich down a slick pavement, nose taking in the damp mixed with mustard. I wasn’t minding the splashes & puddles, we’re like on low tide until the water comes again. The few pedestrians looked as if they were hung out to dry. Except for he bearded dude in front of the biker bar(at 9:30am?) even regulars held an awe like they were here for the first time. I didn’t need a sandwich but Devout Coffee was too warm inside. So I found myself loitering in front of the deli counter at Mikey’s staring at their curly spaghetti. I remembered how it looked supple & moist, and something about a friendly woman making me a mayo-free number in my caffeine induced haze. She’s much too honest for her station. I think they make those fresh salads every 2 days. There it was, while I paid for my $ 1.99 number that Mr. Mikey(I assumed) blessed my heart 3 times — I didn’t want to pick up my penny change, and Mr. Mikey(no positive ID) said something about a penny still being money, and sooner or later, we’ll all need it. For a mosey down a sparkly Saturday morning, I got some supremely expensive coffee, some bread-n-mustard sustenance, a piece of penny wisdom, and more than a few cardiac blessings. Not bad, not a bad start at all :)

Not from Fremont. My husband went in a little worried I had sent him to the wrong place. He was greeted by a very nice man and the sandwiches were delicious. Worth a stop.

A three because there were gnats flying around all the uncovered food in the deli. A three because the ‘vegetarian’ sandwich did not come with avocado? You have to pay extra for that and cheese. A three because the pastrami tasted old and had a bad aftertaste. A three because the dolma tasted good but was very expensive, 2/$ 1(very small dolmas). A three because the lady that worked there rolled her eyes after my husband asked if the deli was open. A three because there was home made goods at the front cashier section that appeared yummy. I definitely will not return! Over priced and over rated.

I come in here pretty often. My dad has got to be their #1 customer hahaha but recently he has been telling me that the lady cashier has been making him uncomfortable with her customer service skills. They have a huge selection of anything! The owner is super nice and twice I have been a little short no more than a dollar and he let me slide! Really great store.

I love Mr. Mikey’s, great corner store, family owned. They have a little bit of everything including a deli. Family atmosphere, friendly staff, locally made honey and bakery items. Lots of beer and wine, lottery services. Cold drinks, small produce section, canned goods, lots of yummy snack items. Sometimes they have homemade tamales, homemade baklava, homemade English toffee, pies, moonshine in a jar and sandwiches. Everyone working there is very nice and helpful. Everyone is Niles shop here and loves the Staff and owners.

Finally a deli by my house! Is it big? No. Is it clean? Yes. Is it fresh? Yes. Does it have good customer service? Well that depends. The lady working as a cashier was very nice, friendly and cared about her business. As a matter of fact she is the ony reason this is 3 stars and not something less. The lady at the deli counter(making my sandwhich) could care absolutely less. While I stood at the counter waiting the deli lady walked past me twice. Apparently she believes breaking down boxes was more important than customers. In any case after she was told by the lady at the cashier to help me she startes to help. When I asked for a chicken sandwhich the whispered surrly reply was, «No chicken.» So how about a club sandwhich? «Ok. I guess.» Well geez if its not to much trouble. After I received my sandwhich I noticed the prices don’t match. Turns out cheese is extra. That would have been nice to know beforehand don’t you think? Oh, and what she made was not a club sandwhich. It was a two meat sandwhich on rye. Not with 3 pieces of bread like a traditional club, but 2. Most likely I will come back but I’ll skip the sandwhich counter if Lady Happy Britches is working.
