Yum! My delights is a hidden gem in the Fremont community. Fantastic service by kind owners. Food may take a bit longer, but that’s because they make it fresh in the back. Tiger milk tea = Two cozy booths in the side.

The ladies that run the place are super nice. The menu is ever expanding so lots of things to try. But I always come back to the popcorn chicken, which is bigger and meatier than at a typical Tap Ex. The only bad thing is you can’t get it spicy. The taiwanese sausage is good too. The drinks aren’t the best, but good enough to enjoy a drink and a bento box for a quick meal.

Mom/Pop Taiwanese boba shop that does surprisingly decent food/snacks. It is tucked away in the Mission area, thus it services tons of Asian kids/families that live/school in the area. Plus there is a high concentration of those after school tutoring shops in this area, like 5 in a 3 block radius. And kids putting in the overtime in the education department, love snacks and sweet boba drinks. Enter My Delights. I actually find their tea drinks to be just average. I prefer a stronger tea flavor and here it is really muted. Maybe it is for kid’s taste. I still get one with my meal here though, with black tea being the most respectable. I actually like the food here. It has surprised me on several accounts. They actually have a tiny but real kitchen back there. This is not one of those microwave/toaster oven joints. They have these cute bentos that include steamed rice, half a tea egg, steamed veggies and pickled radish. Then you choose a meat/entrée to go with the box. And it is slightly under $ 10, so a filling square meal here is also inexpensive. Pork Chop Bento was good and unique. It is a shoulder chop, so there is more bone, and the meat is a little gnarlier than rib chops. But the marinade is very unique, a little soy, touch of 5 spice and maybe Worcestershire. It actually taste more like Caribbean jerk than it does Asian. And it is nicely grilled, not the fried that I was expecting. Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings also a pleasant surprise. But a misnomer though. It is not the seasoned dry wing you get at Wingstop. Instead it is wings braised in soy/lemon so the flavor gets infused all the way through. It may also get a crisp from a finishing light fry. But this is so good with white rice. Thanks to a local connect Sean C. for putting this on my radar. Popcorn Chicken was just ok. Nice breading, not too heavy. Nice fried basil, love that. But the seasoning was a tad salty and very garlic-y, in that powder way. I think a simpler, subtler approach would translate a bit nicer. I’m still trying the rest of the menu, fried calamari, Taiwanese sausage and fried tofu are still in the works. Service can be a bit slow, due to the demand exceeding the staff. So now I just call it in and it is always waiting for me when I arrive. Cute sidewalk tables on a nice day is a good way to spend a break.

Food sucked and took forever to come out, despite being told 2 mins — it took 25. I’m Taiwanese and embarrassed by this representation of its cuisine. Would not go again.

After a failed attempt at Dohatsutan(read my scathing review), I needed food and a reassurance that customer service still existed in the service industry. As the night was drawing to a close, we found My Delight. Let’s say I am now back on track as Friendly service was given from the moment we walked in. They were very accommodating as they asked which type of coffee we prefer and whether the background music was acceptable. That is personal service. We ordered the bento that had good-sized entrée portions(i.e., the shrimp looked endless along with the mound of tofu) that filled our tummies. Vietnamese coffee was strong and the boba was soft, good combo to keep you going. Check it out.

Came to My Delights because we were craving some icy treats and happy to see that they have the Taiwanese shaved ice on the menu. We ordered the Black Sugar Shaved Ice($ 6.95) and get to pick 3 delectable toppings to go along with it; we choose taro, grass jelly and egg pudding. To further sweeten the ice, they also include sweetened condensed milk and dark sugar syrup. The presentation was beautiful, but taste-wise, it was wayyy too sweet! I had a tough time eating just a portion of it, so thank goodness they didn’t give us a lot of it. The popcorn Chicken($ 5.25), however, was delightful. It took a good 20 mins for it to come out, but was worth it, the chicken was very juicy, crispy and seriously addicting — I would get it again. My delights also offers other Taiwanese delectable, such as Bento boxes, Boba/coffee drinks as well as other hot deep fried snacks. Overall, a very standard snacks and boba place, which include their«cash only» policy, of course.

Snack attack Tiawanese that drums up business for the sake of being in walking distance from Ohlone College. Reliable bento and a la carte for students to survive on, and boy, do they like their smoothies, boba and milk teas. Highlight items are pot stickers, pork & veggie shumai, pork bun, ground pork stew, bbq beef ribs, calamari, rice cakes, savory sweet potato, chicken popcorn, tempura fish cake. Really suffice munchies, not luminous, but suffice. I’m nearly inclined to tell you that, while good enough, it’s a café that no one else beyond students and immediate locals should drive out of their way just to eat here. Except… there’s one item. I’m really bonkers over their LEMONPEPPERWINGS, seven of them for a la carte for about $ 7 and change, and for the bento box $ 10. The faintest but tastiest marinade, expertly baked to a perfect sunny-brown color — the white chicken is perfectly white once you sink your teeth in. It’s their one hook on me. The owners have done what they can to make it nice and tidy in what is a tight little café. Well-kept benches and chairs, with some throw pillows. I’m no student, but when it’s a matter of convenience and I want to be in and out done eating within, oh, 20 – 25 minutes, I’ll hop in every now and again. My order starts with those wings and boba. #cheapeats

This is one of the best places for tapioca drinks and food. I went here yesterday afternoon after recently seeing this place here on Unilocal. I had their popcorn chicken. It was very good. Way better than Quickly or Tapioca Express. The only bad thing was the price. It is a dollar more than any other places(Quickly, Tap Ex, Bambu, etc.). But it is still a great place and would recommend it.

This place is cute and small. You can get food to go or sit in one of the 3 cozy booths. You order your food and drink first and then take your seat. She will bring you your food to your table. I can already see myself and my husband coming during the summer and sitting out side where there is seating as well. To food was so yummy. It was my first time having their Version of iced tea and it was sweeter then I am used to but my Wella LOVEDIT! I will definitely be coming back even if its a grab and go kind of day. They are open 11 – 7 m-f and Saturday 11 – 5 closed on Sunday.

I’m sad to say I was sorely disappointed by My Delights… To be honest. All the positive reviews really confuse me, are people just writing 5-star reviews because the owner is supposedly super friendly? I went on my lunch break with a coworker, we ordered a snack, a bento, and 2 drinks. Our wait time was, UNEXPECTEDLY, between 30 – 40 minutes, our commute was about 15 minutes total(to and from) work, Our lunch break was only supposed to be 1 hour. When we finally got the food, I found it to be very average… Sure, the popcorn chicken was fresh(the highlight of the meal), but it wasn’t the best popcorn chicken I’ve had. The fried tofu was also very plain tasting. The bento lacked flavor and we tried to drown everything with siracha and soy sauce. to little avail. Our drinks were LUKEWARM. Clearly they poured hot, mixed drinks over ice but did not put enough ice so it was neither a hot drink nor a iced drink.(not to mention they were pretty pricey.) I ordered sea salt iced coffee, but what I got was basically just iced coffee. There was no sea salt on top? While we waited, we saw several people come in happy and leave displeased with the service(wayyy too slow). This is also a very small shop with very little and very crowded seating. Probably won’t be back.):

Disappointed… Came here expecting quality tea due to the high reviews but it was quite the opposite and pricey too! For a regular sized Jasmine Milk Tea with pearls, I paid $ 3.78…This is the small size I’m talking about, which means the large would have been almost $ 5. On to the quality of the tea… artificial and very reminiscent of Quickly’s or TapEx. I even asked for more tea than milk to play it safe and it still came out milky. I can get over the milkiness, but the artificial flavor in a Jasmine Milk Tea is just a huge no. I won’t be back for the boba, but maybe I’ll come back to try the food since it is so close to my house and highly rated.

Owners are very sweet and welcoming! Walked into this place for a quick snack before class and got a jasmine milk tea and popcorn chicken snack. Tea got to me very quickly, sweet but a little too milky for my liking & the chicken had a strange sour after taste — not sure if I’ll get that again… Lots of fliers for the snow cones and shaved ice, I’d come back on a hot day to try some.

The best Taiwanese food in the bay area! I strongly recommend everyone to come here. The owner, she is so nice and very passionate for customers. She makes us feel like at home. The food is well prepared n the eating areas are very clean. I just loved their fried Tofu, string beans, tempura fish cake, popcorn chicken, calamari, lemon pepper wings, taiwan pork sausage, ground pork stew, five spices pork feet, indo chick’n fried rice and chick’n curry rendang. So when u r craving for Taiwanese food, snacks and drinks, black milk perl tea, green milk perl tea, fruity ice tea, summer shaved ice with topping… You come here for satisfaction with the great food !!!

I really enjoyed My Delights. The food was fantastic! I would recommend the tempura fish cake and the five spice pork feet. The tempura fish cake is crispy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside. The five spice pork feet was outstanding. It was very flavorful and delicious. I would definitely get this bento box again. On top of that, the owner is very nice. I was warmly welcomed as I entered the place and she was very happy to serve me. 10⁄10 would come back here.

Always wanted a milk tea place down the road, and finally there is one! I came for the milk tea but discovered they have great food! I come here almost everyday now! I just love hanging out in here with the great environment and lovely service. Their food is always fresh! I love their Bentos and side dishes! I used to not eat rice cakes but now I love them! I lover their drinks, especially green milk tea, Thai tea, and taro coconut milk w/pearls! Their tea is just so great tasting and fresh! They brew tea every 4 hours and discard the unsold ones, leaving the tea always fresh and tasty! I never had tea with bitter taste here! They have great service! The owner Mimy is so friendly! I always have a great time talking to her, always experience happiness here and always have a great time!

Omg where can i start! Mimi the owners its such a sweetheart, the whole crew is very attentive and amiable. As soon as you enter you feel like if your home . I work around the corner and i eat here maybe twice a week and thats because i don’t always have money to buy here if not ill always be here lol But it is my habit to come here almost everyday and buy a fruity tea because they’re cheap and really good. All their meats are yummy, well seasoned and very filly. Their fruity drinks are so good. They have a variety of flavors and toppings . Must try: lychee fruity tea with coconut topping and they’re pop-stickers are the best(not even close to pandas dry pop-stickers)

Love that this place opened by my work! Not loving the resulting belly fat… The owner of My Delights is so warm and kind. Love her! My coworker and I really enjoy their Salt & Pepper snacks like the popcorn chicken, fried tofu and rice cakes. I had never have rice cakes like this before and I thoroughly enjoy them~~ The milk tea at this place is decent. The pearl texture has improved SIGNIFICANTLY since they first opened. Now they’re the perfect combination of firm, chewy and soft. I once had their Pork feet bento and I really liked it. It was so filling, and the flavor of the meat was just what I was looking for. Overall, this is a good spot to catch a quick snack in the area. Try the rice cakes! Remember that it’s **CASHONLY**!

My prayers have been answered: a café that serves milk tea has opened down the street from my work place. As soon as I heard that they had opened, I shuttled myself over to check this place out. First thing I have to say is that the service is 1000%. And no, that’s not a typo. Seriously, these workers are SUPER friendly; they make me feel like I’m going to a friend’s house for a drink. The menu itself is pretty succinct. Milk teas, fruity teas, snacks, and bentos. There was a table in there devouring a few bento boxes, so I’m tempted to go back and try some. But I was here on a mission — milk tea. So I stepped up to the counter, and after exchanging some pleasant chatter with the worker about how they just opened, I ordered my milk tea with pearls. Large, of course. Go big or go home. And I needed the drink to power me through the rest of the work day. She then gives me a 10% discount(grand opening special through the end of March, btw!) and I happily hand over my money.(Cash only, too!) A few quick minutes later, my drink appears, and as I take my drink, the worker reminds me that I didn’t get a stamp card earlier, so she stamps a new one and hands it to me. Yay, more to add to the collection! I sip away in bliss. Was the milk tea amazing? Not the best that I’ve had — a little bit watered down in my opinion, and the boba was a bit too chewy, but they’re working out their kinks and the dedication from the workers is there. I’ll give them another try soon :)

Grand opening Taiwanese café. Great food and hangout place! We ordered black milk tea with pearl, lychee ice tea with pearl and Crispy chicken bento box. Black milk tea and Lychee ice tea are excellent and the popcorn chicken is the BOMB! I love the seasonings and crispness of the chicken and they are garlicky as well which is a huge bonus. Crispy chicken bento is best bang for the buck. You get plenty of popcorn chicken, rice and 2 side dishes. Great food and ambience. will definitely be back again.
