This is a great, old fashioned ice cream shop in the heart of the Niles District of Fremont. The staff is always cheerful and helpful. The assortment of ice cream is great(at least 20 or more flavors) and the atmosphere is perfect. My wife and I never miss a chance to stop by to have and ice cream and sit and watch the people go by.

$ 3.50 single scoop waffle cone. It is a good deal with a big scoop. Rich and smooth favor. Way way better than any big chain store such as cold Stone or BR. The shop has a old school ice-cream parlor feel to it. About 16 favors on display at a time, i like it simple and straightforward. Perfect for a hot summertime.

This place is awesome! Really great sweet treats. Only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it gets crowded sometimes with line through the area where you would sit. But the treats and the service is great.

Best ice cream place in the area. Great selection of flavors. Larger servings than you’ll get anywhere else for cheaper than anywhere else. In a cute area. And the ice cream itself is rich, creamy, perfect. I’m a devoted customer and make it a point to stop by every time I’m within a 5 mile radius.

I’ve lived in Union City for 3 ½ years and this is the first time that I tried this place. I had mixed feelings after eating their ice cream, Happiness because I had just eaten some of the best ice cream ever and sadness because I missed out during the last 3 ½ years! the Marble Black raspberry is beyond yummm! Exceptional ice cream! Great service, huge portions for the cost! I’ll be back!

I usually do not like or eat ice cream, but I have to say they’re cookies and cream is TODIEFOR! It’s seriously so addicting, it’s so bad. They are really nice there and usually gives me a big scoop The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it’s small and it always smells bad. Like dirty towels or something. Other than that, the place is great.

came here twice, one week apart. first time was after the train ride, the second with my fam. few seats inside but outdoor seating is also available. there are enough ice cream options but no weird ones. their sundaes were good. I got the turtle one which was awesome but I prefer my nuts to be toasted for better flavor. Otherwise, this place is cool. credit card accepted tons of parking good for kids

Niles Ice Cream is probably one of the busiest establishments in Niles for good reason; the ice cream is fantastic. Specifically, I tried the Brownie Sundae(5.65 $) – this s my go-to item whenever I get ice cream. Their sundae includes 1.5 scoops(really rounded up to two), a topping(I chose hot fudge of course), topped with the usual accouterments. In a stunning twist of gluttony, I was surprised to see they put brownies on the bottom and top of the sundae. The brownies themselves were really tasty and fresh. Side note: You can buy brownies to go from 2.50 $ to 2.75 $ each. Flavors of ice cream I tried were the praline caramel and peanut butter. They aren’t messing around with the ice cream either; the peanut butter had so much peanut butter in it I couldn’t finish it off. Overall, this sundae was 4.5 stars! The staff members were friendly and, although there was a line, it moved fast. It’s right across the street from the town square so you have three choices of seating, inside, outside the store, or in the park-like area.

Big scoops. Real rich flavor(not airy tasting… this you don’t realize until you eat this ice cream for a while THEN try and eat Baskin robbins). Everyone there seems to be closely knit. Family type feel. I love the mint chip and tin roof sundae!!!

I tend to have late night cravings for cold treats. So I did a little Unilocaling and found this cute little place in Niles. We got there at a perfect time on a Friday night at 7pm! 3 – 4 minutes after us, the line was 10 – 15 people deep. I got a HUGE scoop of their pralines ‘n caramel on a waffle cone and it was really tasty! Better than Basket Robbin and all those other ice cream chains that charge you way over. Went back last night and got their cookies and cream which was delicious as well! I think this may end up being my new Friday night place!

What a cute little ice cream shop. We are on a no sugar diet but every month we treat ourselves to a desert. So the hunt for the monthly treat is big deal. We found this on Unilocal and actually ran up to make it to the 10pm close. It’s a cute corner shop which is super clean and smells divine. We ordered the banana split with 2 scoops chocolate and one scoop strawberry. The ice cream wasn’t too sweet and the sauces were also well balanced. It’s local business that deserves the 5 star support. We sure are going back next month ;)

I like dropping in to get some ice cream while shopping in Niles or during the antique faire. They offer ice cream made by San Jose-based Treat Ice Cream Company. The ice cream is good quality, creamy and not lacking in flavor. I’ve had the coconut, mango, tin roof sundae, cookies ‘n cream, marble black raspberry, and the Heath bar krunch. All the flavors have been delicious. It’s hard to choose, but my favorite flavor is probably the cookies ‘n cream because it is loaded with large cookie chunks.

Treat ice cream!!! They have Ube!!! It’s so so good!!! We got the coffee and the chocolate also. Very creamy ice cream that’s rich in favor. The coffee has a strong flavor. Definite come back!

They have great ice cream here! I wish they had more flavors, but they’ll definitely have the traditional flavors you’re looking for, along with a couple of more adventurous ones :) I went with the coffee ice cream, and my girlfriend got the mint chocolate chip! Their waffle cones were crispy and delicious. The scoops are very large here!

I love this place so much cause it’s SUPER affordable and the ice cream is amazing too :-) wish I lived near here… Parking is also really easy to find, because there’s a huge parking lot right across the street. Highly recommend the tin roof sundae flavor!

I’ve walked by Niles Ice Cream before. Unilocaled it more than walking by it actually. This past weekend I met up with a friend for late brunch and headed here after to finally try their style. Their menu board decked out in plain white chalk is filled with what seem like finger lickin’ Sundaes with really interesting names. Hawaiian Treat called out to me immediately! $ 3.95 it’s a scoop of coconut ice cream with pineapple topping, topped with whipped cream, toasted coconut and cherry. It came in a plastic transparent container. Next time I’d rather get a scoop of their ice cream. It was too much of everything else with a small scoop of ice cream. Not their fault. I’m really just an ice cream person and truly hates toppings. If you’re similar in likes then do not order this. The whipped cream, pineapple, toasted coconut and cherry was an overkill for me. The staff was friendly and energetic. The only way I can explain the busy atmosphere of this place is that it comes in waves. You look away they’re super busy. You look back five minutes after they’re swarmed! Cute little seating area outside. Or grab the chair by the window like we did.

Nice, friendly service + huge heaping of ice cream! My boyfriend and I split a mint flake on a waffle cone because it was THAT big *no pun intended ;)*. There was ice cream even down to the bottom! The consistency was rich and prices were affordable. I personally didn’t think it was anything special from your normal mint chip though. The other flavors I tried were also pretty average or sweet which was why I resorted to mint. Very cute shop, A-OK ice cream.

After a good dinner at Bronco Billy’s, I always come here to grab a scoop of ice cream to top it off! I’ve lived in this area for a long time and have always gone to this small place to get ice cream since it’s opened. Not only talking about the price, but the taste is so worth it! Most of the workers here are neighboring teenagers and always have such bright and smiling faces. Especially since the weather is getting warmer I will be coming here more and more often. Pros: –Huge portions for cheap prices –$ 2.50 for single scoop –$ 2.70 for single scoop in a sugar cone –Indoor and outdoor seating –Parking along the streets and in the lot across from it –Sells snacks and drinks if you got a big appetite –Friendly and generous staff –Much tastier than cold stones or baskin robbins

Time to pay my respects. This old town ice cream parlor uses produce from the«Treat Ice Cream Company of San Francisco,» it’s first-rate thick and churned creamery and it’s a family friendly bargain. $ 4 dollars for a double scoop in a waffle cone! A whole tub to take home for $ 7.50! Yesterday I resisted ordering a sundae — but I had two scoops, one Tin Roof Sundae and one Pralines & Cream, very luscious on the caramel and cream. That Tin Roof Sundae flavor already has fudge and choco peanuts in it, so it’s like a sundae already. Score! I love getting fat at «Niles Ice Cream.» Though for under $ 2.50 I have yet to go super-fat by ordering one of their german-choco brownies or marshmallow brownies. One day, you watch me, I’m going to order a hot dog, get a brownies, a black & white shake and then a black & tan sundae. That last one’s on the menu board, too. Some patron also remarked that hot fudge goes well on top of Mango, but on a subdued day I’m just going to get one scoop plain. Last note, there is a third freezer tub compartment behind the counter — be sure to ask for a glance at those flavors! #niles
