I guess that I am the only other person that hasn’t had much of a problem with buying anything here. The only time was many years ago when FedEx, UPS, etc. had the strike and I had to wait a couple of weeks for my books. I completely agree with the previous reviewer that the bookstore has everything that you would want from a college bookstore. Yes, the textbooks are regular price. But then, what do you expect? They have to charge you full price. If you’re not happy with the prices for the textbooks, then you can always get it on the web. By the way, they don’t sell parking permits anymore. I am not sure that the current management had sold them at all. May have been when the bookstore was actually run by the school and not by Follett. Still it is wise to buy the textbooks here, especially if you are either in a hurry and the semester starts in a matter of days or you are worried that you may have bought the wrong book.

I have bought several school books for my courses here, and have never had any problems. Actually, I have had relatively positive experiences each time. The customer service has been really good. They have to deal with a lot of incoming and outgoing traffic all day, so keep in mind how busy their days are. The people who work there have always been really helpful and have helped me locate the books and materials that I need for courses. Sure, you may have to wait in line for a while, but that isn’t the end of the world. The bookstore has everything you need for classes, but the prices are higher than, say, Target or Walmart. Still, they’ll have what you need whether it be school supplies, lab coats, lab goggles, and all the miscellaneous stuff in between. I haven’t sold any books back to them, however, the process to exchange or return items has been swift and painless.

UTTERLYUSELESS!!! If I could give a lower ranking I would! Zero customer service to speak of. If you buy something online there is virtually no shipping updates, or like me they can drop your order without communicating with the customer. All they are interested in is your money, which is sad because it is ran by students too, you would think that they would be a little understanding considering they are going through the same BS you are. And good luck of having any chance of selling back your book, now there is a BS rule of having 2 days after purchase to return. I will never buy anything at the Ohlone Bookstore again. I would rather spend my money with a competitor that actually is willing to work with and communicate with the customers!
