Outback is always delicious. I usually get the coconut shrimp, the marmalade dipping sauce is amazing, but tonight I tried something new. The tilapia topped with lump crab meat in a lemon butter sauce is really good! The flavors are great together and the fish was cooked to perfection. The French onion soup is one of the best I have tried, the broth really rich and creamy. I Alia just love the side salad, blue cheese dressing is fantastic and it’s topped with cheddar cheese! Service on a Friday night at 7pm is intense. We had to wait for 45minutes and when we were finally sat(and starving) the wait staff took a few extra minutes to get to us. But they didn’t mess up our order for being so busy, so that was refreshing.

The food is good enough but I gave it a two star because we got seated by the kitchen and every two seconds everybody that goes in or out will say«corner«to alert their coming or going. Do you have any idea how annoying that is to the people eating nearby? Why the hell can’t you invest in a mirror so that you can see who the freakin hell is coming around the corner??? Is your restaurant that cheap? Really???

Sue is literally the best bar tender. The food is only ok especially for a steak joint but it’s not bad. But ya, sue kicks ass. Give her a raise, or 7

Service sucks. I have to ask bread in order to get it. It supposed to be free. Rice came in cold. Wrose money ever spent.

We won’t do this again. :/very disappointing. Very salty fish, cumin on his steak(odd and he doesn’t like cumin). At least they took my meal off the bill.

Food took forever to come out and they forgot our blooming onion. Its my birthday and they didn’t have any candles. Wtf. I asked for my steak as medium and it came basically well done. It would have taken forever to send back so I just ate it. When we did get our blooming onion it came out semicold. The upside was my Arnold Palmer was good and the free birthday ice cream was good. The server was nice.

Food quality is okay. Food portion is really stingy and prices are not that great. Service here is rather interesting. The waitress seems helpful, but forgetful at times. Had to remind her to bring more bread a few times before they take one small bread out. One small roll??? Come on lady… we got a few big guys sitting on the table! So how many times do we have to keep asking and how many times would you like to keep walking back to the kitchen? It’s like 3pm! There’s only 5 – 6 tables with people! You guys have bread shortage with this crowd? The Outback management should pay Texas Roadhouse a visit and learn from them. They can see very quickly why their competition always have a long line there! You can eat your heart out with their bread rolls and peanuts even while you’re waiting to be seated! 2 stars for the food… but the rest… I guess go Down Under!

Our service was very good, as we came between lunch and dinner, and were seated right away. Or server first asked if we wanted bread, and of course we said yes, then took our drink order. Soon after we were enjoying warm black bread and butter. I decided on Victoria’s filet mignon, 6oz cut, cooked medium, with a house salad and a baked potato as the sides($ 20.99). It was nice that I was asked beforehand what ingredients I wanted in my salad. The filet was tender and juicy, but slightly overcooked on the outside. Still, it was good enough that I wished I would of ordered the larger cut. One negative aspect is the lighting. Each table has a bright bulb hanging over it, and unfortunately it shined right in our eyes. It was so bad that we complained. The manager helped us out by placing a menu on the lamp to dampen the light. One of us had an AARP card which gave 15% off all our meals. As we were leaving, they opened the door. Outback is a great place for a good steak at a reasonable price.

I love eating at outback whenever I get the chance. The only complaint I might have is it is quite dark inside and I don’t know if they can add a couple more lights but also the lights hanging over the table should be changed to LED lights cause they get really hot when your trying to eat. But service is always excellent and food gets out fast every time.

We used to have great service and food at Outback. Lately, it has gone south. The steaks are dry and even chicken isn’t cooked great. Sunday night, we go in — 5 of us. It’s not really crowded. Get our drinks and the food never comes. The tables near us came in AFTERUS by about 15 minutes, got their food and were boxing up leftovers and we were still waiting. The waitress kept saying«it will just be 5 more minutes». It took about an hour to get our meal… Just too slow of a meal and not great food. May not be going back for a long time.

Had Rebecca as a server last night and she was amazing! Very friendly, attentive and intuitive. Reminded me of why I loved Outback in Canada before they all closed down. Much better experience than last visit. Will definitely try to sit in Rebecca’s section again.

Came in for a late lunch with the hubs. Trying to make healthier choices isn’t easy but Outback does! They not only show the calories but they also offer some awesome«lite fare». I enjoyed the soup and salad combo and hubs got some coconut shrimps. We got out of there with only $ 20. Bucks spent. Nadine was our server and was pretty helpful and accommodating. I’ve been pretty lucky with the steak of great customer service lately.

I haven’t been here in a long time and since it was my mom’s birthday, my family and I decided come here for dinner. We were here on a Monday night so it wasn’t crowded at all. We were seated right away and our waiter came shortly after. I ordered the BBQ Mixed Grill which is basically a trio of grilled chicken, baby back ribs, and coconut shrimp along with fries. We also ordered the Crab and Avocado Stack for the appetizer. Our server also brought out the bread for us to munch on while we wait for our food. For some reason, bread at restaurants are always so good… I just don’t know why. The appetizer came shortly after and it was smaller than I had thought. It was really tasty though. I definitely loved the mix of crab and avocado as a dip. Their tortilla chips was kind of different, in a good way. It was thinner and more crisp. When my dish finally came out, I kind of regretted it because I realized my plate had no veggies in it. I don’t know why I ordered a dish with all meat(I guess the picture looked super nice). Don’t get me wrong though, the food was delicious. I loved the grilled chicken, the BBQ baby back ribs were tasty, and the fried coconut shrimp were good, too(plus, they weren’t heavily battered). It was a pretty decent sized dish for a decent price. The service was good, too. I have no complaints at all. Our serve came by to refill our waters and asked how we were doing every now and then. He was also very friendly when suggesting certain food to us and how people usually like the cook on a certain steak or other meats. Overall, this is a pretty good steakhouse in the area. The service is good. The price is decent for the quality of the meat they serve. The food is pretty up to standard and very tasty. It’s a pretty decent and satisfying meal in my opinion. It’s a nice restaurant to come to every so often.

To be honest, the service was great and so was the food. I really didn’t get any bad experience. I agree with some Unilocalers that it might depend on the day, the server or perhaps, the chef. But overall I will definitely recommend this place to anyone for great food. And be rest assured that I will continue to come back here.

So it’s been YEARS since we have been here, mainly because my husband prefers the steaks and service at another steakhouse better. However, we received a gift card Christmas, so thought we’d put it to good use. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised. However, it didn’t start off terrific. We were seated at lunch pretty quickly. Ordered the crab, avocado stack for appetizer with chips. Truth be told — it was nothing to write home about. Small portions of crab and avocado and there was some minimal amount of some type of sauce we discovered at the bottom too. Steak salad and steak & lobster were delicious! Steak was cooked perfectly to my liking — just as the guide stated. They have a visual guide to show you what to request for your liking. The lobster was also nicely done, not overdone and rubbery like some places. Was the steak the best ever? No. But it was VERY good and I left feeling fulfilled and happy. Our server was pleasant and friendly. However the service was a bit on the slow side — mainly in reference to the food. Our appetizer came out fairly quickly, but food took a while. Not our servers fault, she did keep our drinks and bread refreshed as we were starving — late lunch. So overall, I was happy. Will I be rushing back to eat here? Maybe not, but I won’t let it be years again. It was a good experience. Great job with the menu revamp!

Great bread, Great salads, Great filet mignon with Lobster Tails and great service Surprised by how many bad reviews are on here as I live close to this one and have gone there many times but I guess every meal is different and every server is different. I do know though, that the one time my meal was not perfect, that the manager came by and offered us a free dessert. I know its not much but its the little things that count and that go a long way in having a good meal out In fact, I’ll be there tonight with the family and watching the Warriors Game 5 vs Memphis… Go Warriors!

I wanted to give them a better rating because the steak part of my meal,(sirloin and coconut lobster) was cooked perfectly rare and very tasty,(although under seasoned). However, the coconut lobster was disgusting: overcooked, dry, and heavily coated in batter that did the lobster no favors. Lobster should be delicious. But I do accept partial blame for ordering that combo. I’m not sure what I was thinking. The complimentary bread is tasty. The blooming onion was a disappointment, though, being very greasy. I know it’s fried food, but this was sopping with oil. I could only eat a few. The service was pretty good. Only issues were the girlfriend receiving two olives in her martini when the menu states three. Not a biggie… our water happily brought her two more. When serving my plate, the waiter dropped one of my pieces of lobster onto the serving tray. He said he’d go get another one started but showed back up at the table about 30 seconds later with a piece of lobster, claiming that, miraculously, a single piece of coconut lobster«just came out». Riiiight. Do you think I’m an idiot? I must be. The veggies on the side were pretty decent. All in all not a bad experience. Just remember to stick to steak at a steakhouse. Oh, we went here because we had a $ 25 gift certificate from the Christmas before last. So for $ 35 out of pocket or so we had a decent meal for two with leftovers.

This is my first time to steakhouse and was eager to order something new. They provided me a brown bread with cream as a complementory item before order which was amazing in taste. I ordered chicken tortilla soup, which was also good as appetizer, and some chicken salad as a main course. The chicken salad is just average as I feel it is more or less of required sauces to make it tastier. Then I felt a steak house is only for steak loving ppl, but not for ppl who love to eat other meats.

I am shocked! Truly shocked! I’m shocked at how extremely pleasant everything was when we had dinner there last night. It didn’t start off well — they had the lights set so low that we couldn’t read the menus. We mentioned that to the hostess who seated us and(lo and behold), she immediately said she’d go find a better light bulb to go in the lamp that hung over our table(each table has a lamp hanging over it). She disappeared for a while and I thought UhOh, but in not too long, the manager came with a different bulb that was a little brighter and changed the bulb in our table’s lamp. Wow! I’ve never been a fan of chain(especially«budget chain») steak houses because I hate cheap steak. We’d seen an ad for Outback Steak’s lobster tails and decided to take a chance on them. I simply didn’t want steak but all the menu items that had lobster were a combination of steak and lobster. When our waitress came, I asked if I could get ‘only lobster.’ She immediately said yes, that I’d get 2 — 4 lobster tails, depending on the total weight of the lobster tails. That’s what I had(there were 4 smallish ones) — and they were yummy, cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious! Hubby had a sirloin steak and while it was cooked perfectly(rare), it did have some gristle and he wasn’t particularly impressed because of that(minus one star). I even liked their salad and I’m not a fan of wet rabbit food. Our waitress had told us what all they put on a salad(it includes cheese) and that meant I could specify no onions. The croutons were notable — so much better than most. I could actually taste garlic in them, and that combined with a fair amount of shredded cheese of two kinds made the salad a stand-out for this salad hater. Lest I forget about another thing that showed how great our waitress was: the only kind of beer I usually like is dark, preferably Negra Modelo. Their only dark beer is Guiness but, for me, that’s too heavy to have with dinner. I was disappointed in their selection but had ordered something(I don’t even remember right now what it was). She left to get our drink orders but came back to tell me that they have Samuel Adams Boston Lager. The fact that it’s a lager(so is Negra Modelo) meant it seemed worth a try. I ordered it and liked it! I was so struck by the fact that, even though the place was very busy, she’d made that extra trip back to our table to tell me about something she thought I might actually like. I’m wondering if the management has changed recently. If that’s the case, they need to give that guy a raise! When we were leaving, I stopped at the reception area and asked that they tell the manager that our waitress was truly outstanding. The women there checked who it was and said her name is Sue. Kudos to Sue and to the manager for a very pleasant dinner. We’ll definitely be back(as long as they have lobster).

I’m not opposed to the concept of Outback Steakhouse — god knows I love my deep-fried onions as much as the next guy. This location, however, I would definitely skip if you’re looking for a pleasant night out. Came as a group of four on a Friday night, and even though the place was packed, we were seated immediately. The first turn-off for me was the lighting — it was basically pitch black inside, and even though there were lights above every table, they seemed to be using 3-watt bulbs. I find food to be a 5-sense experience, with being able to see it being especially important. I don’t know how I feel about being shown the calorie counts of my meals — I feel like this policy was enacted to encourage restaurants to serve a healthier menu, rather than rub a 1500±calorie entrée in my face. Heeding the information I was given, I ordered a bowl of Chicken Tortilla Soup($ 4) and the Chicken Artichoke Flatbread appetizer($ 7). Combining the two was less diet damage than any individual dinner. Crazy, right?! Service was pretty awkward about my rogue order, but I stuck to my guns. Food was ok — steak-eaters in my party left at least 30% of their dinner since it a lot of fat and gristle. Soup tasted like a bowl of tomatillo salsa, and if the kitchen is as dark as the dining room, that would be an easy mistake to make. Even though the prices are good for a steakhouse, in Fremont I would recommend buying your own meat at Food Maxx and making a night of it. Sorry, Outback… I’m glad I’m out, and I won’t be back. :-/
