I can’t comment at all on the nerd stuff, but I love that they include free penguins in the box. We have four of them. I’m a girl, so cute touches totally influence me.

I don’t know what Frank is smoking up there in Oregon, but I’ve had a very different experience and must say Penguin Servers Rock! Let me also say I am not employed by nor am I being paid by Penguin to write this. I’ve personally purchased and administered DOZENS of Penguin Computing systems. I’ve not had one failure. In 2006 I purchased ½ a dozen Altus 1400s and all 6 have been up and running 7×24×365 without a single hiccup since install. Also of note, I’ve worked with HP and Dell. HP systems don’t fully support Linux, stay away! Dell systems are built poorly and fail often. If you want quality and reliability don’t hesitate purchasing from this company.

Ok, I’m biased. I used to work here. Still, these folks make great Linux systems. They are the oldest pure Linux server company that’s still around(after VA got out of the business years ago). Every desktop and server is fully qualified and tested for Linux compatibility. When you order a system it gets built to order and then put through a 3 day burn-in process to catch any hardware defects. Need support? No problem. As soon you call you’ll be speaking to a real support technician who knows Linux inside and out. No annoying phone trees or call queues to deal with here. Penguin is a great company to deal with for your Linux system needs and every server comes with a toy penguin. It doesn’t get much better than that.
