Found this place yesterday. Lots of awesome outfits in many different sizes. They also have alteration on site. The owner and his wife are very nice. Will be back soon to get my hands on their new shipment for an upcoming wedding. Yay!

I came in here looking for some jewelry(churis) for an outfit in a rush. Had a great experience, lady helped me and I was out of the shop in 5 minutes.

Late review. It took me forever to find my where I could find harlem pants or Aladdin pants for my costume. It was the day I had to leave for Vegas for Halloween, I needed the balloon pants to complete my Aladdin look. As I popped up my Unilocal app on my iPhone and input«fabrics» and this store came up, I knew somehow they should have traditional Indian pants I could use. The prices are okay, a little bit expensive on the side. You can also try to haggle the lady to lower the prices if you can. Good quality fabrics!

My wife likes coming to this place to my emergency Indian jewelry for a party. They have a good selection of Indian costume jewelry(necklaces, earrings, tikkas), bangles, bracelets, and bindis. The suits and saris are hit-or-miss. Sometimes you can find good deals.

This was my first experience buying anything Indian and it was fun! At first the saleslady seemed a bit busy and uninterested, but when we showed her the sari I was going to wear she got into it, helping me find a blouse to wear underneath. The longer we stayed the more we bought, after browsing the sales racks. I also got a super cute shirt that I can wear over capris, and bangles to wear with the sari. My friend got a beautiful outfit at a steep discount. They have bags, blouses, petticoats, saris, jewelry, all sorts of great stuff. At the end there were lots of smiles and help. The salesladies went to the back to try to find things we wanted. Overall it was a great experience and I’d go back if I ever had the need to; who knows, maybe I’ll get invited to more weddings!

My wife noticed this store when we were parking to go to Taste of India Restaurant, which is just around the corner from this store. She wanted to see if they have any sandals from India, which she enjoys wearing, in the store. This store is mainly a Indian fabric store. It carries many different types of fabrics, which are colorful and bright! They also carry a limited variety of other items: small appliances, watches, clothing, Indian jewelery, etc. It seemed more like a variety store with all the variety carried. Yes, my wife found her sandals! The person helping her to select her sandal was very helpful, and nice to her, even after she tried so many pairs to find the right one. I was impressed. After paying for her sandals, we headed out the door and around the corner for lunch! It was looking like a great start to a great day! Pricing for the sandals was reasonable but the smile on my wife’s face was really priceless because she found what she was looking for after shopping at so many different shops for the right sandals!

Preet Fabrics is difficult to find. And unfortunately, the fabric I want is even more difficult to find, because this fabric store is on a list of many that does not have the fabric I am looking for. That may be because I don’t really know what I’m looking for. But be that as it may, this fabric store isn’t bad, but it has a limited selection of fabrics. It has mostly Indian fabrics(colorful, embroidered, etc), and a small selection of unembellished chiffons, charmeuse, and thai silks. They also sell already made Saris and Lahangas, and other outfits that I don’t know the names of. Their outlet store, next door, has great prices on some cheaper fabrics(polyester satins for ~$ 2 – 3) and some less inspired lahangas and saris.(Perfect for the non-Indian who doesn’t want to spend much on an Indian outfit to wear to an Indian wedding — like Me.) When it comes to location, well, I thought I was playing hide-n-seek. The store cannot be seen from the main road. It faces Orchard Supply and is around the corner from A Taste of India. Anyhow, it was aiite. I’d say this place is average — 2.5 stars(just not good enough to round to 3) Service was questionable, as one woman gave me a wary eye when I entered and the others looked over and then kept conversing w/o missing a beat. They didn’t really acknowledge my presence until I said«hello.» But maybe it’s because they knew I’d mispronounce«lahanga.»
