Dr. Japra’s billing system just sucks big time. My co-pay for office visit is $ 10.00, we were asked to pay $ 15 upfront and we paid. Later when insurance settles the claim and say patients liability is $ 10.00 they billed me again for $ 10.00. I have been trying to reach their billing department & office for a week, but every time I am asked to leave voice mail but no one gets back to me. My two cents don’t ever go to this doctor.

A very compassionate Doctor that goes over and beyond what he is required to do especially for older people. He recently treated my aging mom who is so grateful she gives him good wishes every day. Thank You So Much DrJapra.

I had called the doctor’s office to get an appointment with Dr. Tang, but I took the appointment for Dr. Japra as Dr. Tang was unavailable and since I needed to see a doctor immediately being sick for 3 days and new to the neighborhood. The front desk staff are polite and helpful, the billing staff was bit of an inconvenience, after I tried to book the appointment she called back and said I will have to pay couple of hundred dollars as my copay. I had to call my insurance and had to get it straightened it out as she was submitting wrong information to the insurance. Still not a big issue, an inconvenience that could have easily been avoided. The nurse was also very nice and did my checks very professional and explained to me anything that I asked her. My experience with Dr. Japra was not good, while I understand that doctors have to respond to their pagers and it was alright when he was checking his pager, but he kept checking his phone as well and very often which was very disruptive. When I was describing to him my condition, history and my issues it seemed he was not listening to me and I had to take long pauses couple of times for him to finish checking his phone. Then he did not completely explain to me what was going on with me and just prescribed me an antibiotic. When it seemed he was done, he asked me if I got blood works done; now I am no health care professional, but how do you get blood works done without a doctor’s referral. Then he asked me to get the blood works done and I was out of there with a blank head. May be he did what he was supposed to do, but i did not feel like it. I left the office with no answers and referral for a blood works and prescription in hand. My rating of 2 stars is based mostly with my experience with the doctor. Very unlikely I will go back.

Dr. Japra is awesome. He listens well and gets all the medical testing done but recommends healthy lifestyle to avoid medicine, if you can believe it. Most of the staff is very nice especially the staff that does the tests.

Hands down, Dr. Japra is the best Cardiologist in the Bay Area!!! I came to him at such a young age and he knew that there was no way I should have such high blood pressure. He has never let me down and has always found ways to help me stay healthy or get healthier so that I can someday be completely off of blood pressure medicine! The office staff is also very very nice! They always call me a day in advance to tell me about my appointments, are very efficient with making appointments, and are all together very friendly! I especially love the nurse who is in charge of the Cardiology tests like the«stress echo» test… she is so awesome and funny!!! As much as I love Dr. Japra though, I can’t wait to be done with appointments. I’m very close too! Very low MG on my prescriptions now because of how well he’s taken care of me. :)
