Stopped in this little gem while passing through Fremont on my way to Omaha. This was some of freshest and most flavorful Thai food i have had. This small restraunt is definitely worth a visit if your hankering Asian cuisine. Since I had the Pad.

My favorite place in town. And my husband can’t get enough of the Phở. It’s the best he’s ever had… and he’s gotten around. Mmm… I want to go right now… It’s casual and inexpensive but good quality Asian food. They know what they’re doing.

Spicy Thai chicken was super good and looked really good. Was fresh. Nice dude who may have been owner was slinging plates.

You can’t go wrong with the big, delicious steaming bowl of Phở. Joe recommended and brought to our table a few add-inn seasonings to make the flavor even better/stronger. It’s always wonderful. We never eat here without getting the crab rangoon and chicken satay appetizers, both are also super good! Spicy Thai chicken with fried rice is my other go-to entrée, the rice is pepper-y & yummy.

I had been going to Savannakhet for years, so I don’t like leaving a negative review, but my last visit can only be described as «Most deplorable service ever.» I have never been treated so poorly by anyone at a restraunt before. Joe the owner was very rude and snarky at me, over a really silly reason and he did not handle the situation well at all. As he kept saying nasty stuff and was very insulting towards me. I paid for my meal, as I left I said we would not be back again and he said something on along the lines of «good» After that I felt sick to my stomach and soon after I leave, Joe the owner storms out gumbling under his breath, gets into his truck and leaves, leaving his wife alone, even though they were empty, that is still an extremely childish thing to do. Now the food was very good as others have said, but no one should ever be treated so poorly. Now I doubt most you will experience what I have, but sadly that is my last experience at Savannakhet. An extra star for the food as it has always been good, but I can’t overlook being treated so badly. 2⁄5

Tried this place on Unilocal recommendation. Sits downtown in a out of the way place. Went there about 2:30 on saturday. Nobody in there but we gave it a shot. Our waiter/cook/owner was a bit casual but the food delivered. Ordered it spicy and it was just about right. Recommend trying this place if in Fremont craving Thai.

In Fremont for an auction on a Saturday and Unilocaled this place and am so glad I did. This is a nothing fancy, strip mall type restaurant that puts plenty of effort into it’s food. I had a lunch special of Spicy Thai Pork and Curry Chicken and both were phenomenal. Not super spicy but not too mild, just right. The flavors meshed well and the rice was spot on. As good as that was, the egg roll was even better. Kind of a smaller egg roll but fried to perfection. The flavors in this egg roll are hard to describe, just plain awesome. I was full, I was satisfied after this meal. If I am ever in Fremont again, I will head straight to Savannakhet. Heck, I might make a special trip from Omaha just to eat here. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed. Unilocal’s honor(for all you boy scouts).

The food is great and it is consistent throughout. Good food and good service every time. *Pad Thai Chicken is excellent. Crab Rangoon is best I’ve had between Fremont and Omaha.

Second time coming… This time i had crab ragoon and red curry… Oh wowowowow! So much flavor in their curry! Amazing! And the ragoons were some of the best I’ve had… You can tell they home-make everything… I cant wait to come back again!

Just in town for work at a nearby plant, but Unilocaled this place and it didn’t disappoint in the least bit. The spring roll and vegetable thing were great in the sweet chili sauce. Surprising that food can taste this foreign in such a small town. Definitely recommended.

New to the area and was roadtripping around — when I found this on Unilocal.Much to my surprise it is a fabulous Thai restaurant. I’m so excited as coming from California I was scared I wouldn’t find a good Thai restaurant. This place is awesome. They know their stuff and are fun to talk to! Definitely coming back!

Looking for something interesting to eat on a gray Friday lunchtime I came across this little gem. I had a lunch special yellow curry and sweet and sour pork combo. Maybe these two don’t go together but that’s what I wanted. Service was friendly and amazingly quick. Nice food hot and tasty and inexpensive $ 5.99. One small snag they don’t take Amex they do take other cards.

Loved everything about this place, nice staff, great food. Started with a Thai coffee and crab Rangoon. The Rangoon was perfectly cooked, crispy and flakey. The Thai coffee was deliciously sweet with a touch of spice. I had the red curry with chicken, wonderfully spicy and full of good chunks of chicken and vegetables.

I continue to eat at Savannakhet without complaint! Joe does a great job of making suggestions as I continue to make my way though the menu. My favorite entrees have been pad Thai(spicy), lap beef, and lap chicken. The pad si ew with chicken, Mongolian beef, and ginger chicken are all very good, too. Appetizer wise, I almost always get the spring rolls, and the chicken satay is another favorite. Never had a bad meal, period.

This restaurant is great. Asian of all types-Vietnamese, Laotian, Thai and your more usual Chinese type dishes. The phở is excellent(pro pha). It is a large bowl of noodle soup that you can spice up if you like with the added bean sprouts, cilantro, lime and sauces available. The owners will make suggestions. All the soups are excellent. My boyfriend loves the Phở, I usually opt for Curry, there are 3 kinds, red, green and yellow or the Tom Yum-Thai hot and sour. I could eat this every day of the week! Very flavorful and high quality. The Thai coffee and tea are great too. Ginger Chicken, Spicy Thai chicken, so far everything I have tried has been great but I keep going back to the fabulous soup. Prices are very reasonable and the owners are very nice people. This place is great! If you go, it won’t be just once.
