My Dentist referred me to Dr. Shahbazian’s office for a wisdom tooth excision. At first, I was nervous; apprehensive, wondering whether or not Dr. Shahbazian will treat me as gently and kindly as Dr. De! Well, once I got past that «hurdle» I created in my mind, I relaxed a bit.
Dr. Shahbazian explained the entire processof the excision to me, and then I used as many words I could find in the dictionary to tell him how petrified I am of needles and the entire process. He was patient, smiled and said I wouldn’t feel a thing!!!
So, one Friday morning, I got ready and got in the car. The first five minutes, I cried like a colicky baby and then I dozed off. Apparently, my husband walked this «heavy» person into Dr. Shahbazian’s office.
And then… I woke up!!! Knocked out for the most… about 8 – 9 hrs, I had no clue as to what happened that day. Barring the usual symptoms of tender gums, bleeding and such, I have no other complaints!!!
Awesome Doc!!! Sweet staff, organized and welcoming office. I went to the office in Fremont:

Should you ever decide to get that wisdom tooth extracted, go here!!! Well worth the drive… even from SF or Reno!

Dr. Shahbazian is great~, he did a wisdom tooth extraction for me, and everything went perfect. He’s really good at what he does (he was recommended to me by my dentist), and indeed he is a pro.
Had first the oral examination, determined extraction was do-​able (4 wisdom teeth), explained all the risks and preparation well, when my (dreaded) day came for the surgery, I dragged myself in, and soon after signing my life away, was laying down in the chair and, began getting my general anesthesia, it went like this.
Anesthesiologist: «Just put this over your nose and breath normally»
Me: «OK».
Me: «Where do we go for the surgery?»
Anesthesiologist: «Its all done, it went very well~»
I was knocked out for 90 minutes or so, the surgery was done and I didn’t even know it.
Outpatient post-​operative care went well, I’m so glad I had it done.
Have to have the «designated driver» thing ready, etc.
The staff is caring and make you feel comfortable and safe.
