Tony’s Tacos is in the Mission area of Fremont, a small stand that has a burger place on the other side of it. There are picnic tables outside to sit at. There might be a slight over-hang or unmbrella to keep people in the shade or out of the rain. There were two workers. This is a casual place. It’s near a gas station, a Marshal Arts place, and a sushi place. It’s across the street from Ohlone College, and a block away from the Intero Real Estate office. I’ve had tacos here with carnitas, they tase good, fair price. They got the tacos to me quick.

Thanks to the introduction of the taco emoji, I’ve been on a nearly continuous taco bender to celebrate. I was close to Tony’s Tacos and decided to keep the streak going. It’s such an adorable little place. The shop itself just has enough room for a kitchen, a waiting bench, and the register. There’s plenty of covered seating outside though. I ordered the horchata, two fish tacos, and two super carne asada tacos. I was hungry. Can you tell? Lemme just say that even for someone who can really put her food away, the portions were surprisingly big. The super tacos had so much meat(yay!). Two of these super tacos was like looking at a small burrito. The meat itself wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but there was a lot of it. The toppings weren’t overwhelming at all and I actually really liked the beans in the taco. It gave it a nice texture. The fish tacos were fantastic. I’d rate them a full five stars on their own if I could. Creamy sauce, perfect slice of grilled fish(they don’t have the fried kind which I don’t mind), and a little bit of lettuce and tomato. It was perfectly portioned. It still had plenty of meat but it wasn’t as hefty as the super taco. But let’s talk about that horchata. Some people like it milkier, more cinnamon-y, whatever. Personally, I like it when you can get this balance of rice/almond-y flavor right after that initial blast of cinnamon goodness. This place nails it on the head. I hate when it’s too milky and it tastes like cinnamon toast crunch milk leftovers. In short, portions are fantastic, the fish tacos are bomb, and you come for tacos and keep coming back for horchata. It’s a good middle of the road taco shop. I’d give it closer to 3.5 stars if I could.

Small shop across from Ohlone College. Not the best taqueria but they have pretty good tacos and nachos. I would dock a star for their increasing prices because I don’t think the food is good enough for the higher prices. However, everything tastes decent and fresh so I’ll give them 3 stars!

Love this place but the recently raised the prices :/ I always get ths fish tacos here. Theyre literally the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. The fish isnt fried like other places and the sauce in the taco is creamy amd fresh. There’s so much flavorrrrr omg its so good lol. I’ve also had their nachos which comes in a huge portion. its mounded with toppings and meats its hard to find the chips(thats a good thing). theyre tostadas are okay, nothing special and the steak was dry when i tried it. Overall, this place is really good, im just disappointed they raised the prices. They also offer I believe a 10% discount for students with an Ohlone College ID card!

Quick lunch spot for a delicious steak taco! The steak is well seasoned and the soft corn tortilla is simply great. Too bad they are not open on the weekends.

Eat here semi regularly. Solid burrito. Outdoor seating. Service is quick. Two choices on the salsa. Tacos are good as well. Friendly counter service.

Nitty Gritty authentic little taco shop. The food is alright but its the closest you can get in my opinion. Get the habanero sauce, yum! Carne asada taco: bland but doable Super Shrimp taco: first time i had it, it was good. Today it was meh… its a hit or miss but the shrimp super taco is yummy and loaded. Overall this will do for a Mexican fix.

shredded chicken regular burrito — would be better if more of the juice was drained from the shredded chicken before putting it into the tortilla. carne asada taco plate — the taco and pinto beans were good. the rice was a tad sticky carne asada taco plate was better the second time around. the rice was not sticky shredded chicken taco & carne asada plate today — it was pretty good

Ain’t the taco truck but gets the job done. I had an Al Pastor Quesadilla which was about average, about $ 6. The service wasn’t much but I didn’t expect much to begin with either. Plenty of outdoor seating next to Mission Burger and down the way from Ohlone CC. Decent Mexican food in the area is a nice change from the infinite amount of Asian food. Gracias, amigos.

I was excited to try this place but because I have never been there the cashier looked at me like I was stupid while ordering when I asked her a question. I got the taco deluxe plate and was starving afterward, 2 tiny tacos with cardboard tasting pork and a scoop of wax flavored beans was not enough. I’m not even gonna finish talking about the rest of the food on my plate. I advice anyone to go somewhere else if there are craving Mexican food in Fremont.

Finally I can say: good job on that burrito, Fremont! So it’s a thing when you grow up in San Jose, you look down your nose at Mexican food from the outlying towns. Nobody goes to Fremont for burritos. BUT. The food here is great. No frills, not expensive, good sized portions. I judge places by their chile verde and Tony’s is pretty damn good. Tasty rice and beans and good salsas made one excellent chile verde burrito.

Love the shredded chicken tacos! Pretty reasonably priced as well. It’s all outside seating, but there’s a good amount of tables. Service is quick, and sometimes not as friendly as some people would want, but it’s not that bad.

I used to come here all the time in high school! Sometimes still make my way down since I go to Ohlone which is right across the street. I love this place! Their super burritos and super quesadillas are both amazing. The carne asada is very flavorful and will definitely leave you satisfied. As for tacos, I highly recommend the shrimp! At first, I was a bit skeptical to try their seafood but was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the tacos were, especially with the sauce they use! Don’t forget the horchata. The horchata is fucking phenomenal. OHAND the green sauce that they always make fresh. Not too spicy, but still has a kick aka absolutely perfect! Would rather come here over Mission Burger any day. Wait isn’t as long, food is always delicious, free wifi, and they take card! No brainerrrr.

Oh my God, if you want to eat Mexican taco grub at a low, low price than there’s probably nothing more lenient on your wallet than this little hut off the curb of Mission Blvd. Eat away at wooden bench tables. Al Pastor and refried beans for me, it’s less than four bucks from my pocket. #cheapeats

First of all Great Authentic Mexican food coming from a Mexican. Go here. I’m currently an Ohlone College student and regularly visit Tony’s. I recommend the Super Tacos. Al Pastor Super Tacos are my favorite. The carne asada burrito is also above average. The only reason this place is not 5 star is because of the price but hey you get what you pay for.

I go here fairly regularly because I work virtually next door. I have yet to be disappointed by anything that I have ordered here! Granted, I am the type to stick to something if I like it. After I posted my last review, I discovered their salads. Really generous portions and a great ‘healthier’ alternative compared to anything offered at the neighboring restaurants. You have a choice between ranch and italian for dressing. I tend to ask for one container of Italian dressing and use only half of it. The salad is already pretty flavorful due to the salsa, grilled chicken and avocado in it. I find that the steak salad is a bit too heavy, so go for the chicken or shrimp salad instead! Get a baggie full of their pickled carrots, peppers and onions and enjoy it as a side dish. The meal comes with complimentary tortilla chips. Scoop up some of the salad onto a chip and enjoy!

A taco stand and basically that. The service is not good, they basically just hand you your food with a cold look on their face and seem really dismissive. The food is good though. My lunch was a tostada, had a good portion of meat, sour cream, lettuce, and slices of tomato. The inside is small but there is a outside dining area with shade that is pretty nice, I like being outside anyways.

I like getting the tacos/super tacos instead of the burritos here. They don’t skimp on the meat in the tacos but the burritos are on the smaller side. The prices are average for a taqueria and the taste is also average — not bad but I’ve had better. If I’m feeling Mexican food that’s convenient and close, I’d come to Tony’s, but if I want a solid burrito I’d go to another taqueria(like Tacos Negris in Niles!).

The shrimp and fish tacos here are super delicious and quite generously portioned, and the people who run this place are sweet, friendly, and efficient. Definitely a good choice before being stuck in traffic on 680, or after a nice beer tasting session at California Craft Beer up the street. Note that this is a small stand with little seating inside, so you’ll have to sit at picnic tables outside. Bundle up.
