I’ve used Zyt Gallery(pronounced«Zeet») in the Niles District of Fremont for the framing of several different pieces of collectible art in the past year, including a pair of valuable vintage Fillmore Auditorium posters from the 1960s. Their selection of framing, matting, and glazing materials is large and broad in scope. The quality of the framing work has been superb in all instances. The mats have been precisely and crisply cut and the mitered corners of the frame have been universally precise and gap-free. The hanging hardware that comes with the finished piece is high quality and easy to use. Given the high cost of quality framing materials, I consider their final price reasonable, as framing is a very labor intensive type of work. Yes, Zyt Gallery is more expensive than Aaron Brothers or Michael’s, but there is little comparison between those discount operations and Zyt Gallery in the quality of the finished product or the knowledge, skill, and enthusiasm of the employees. Zyt Gallery also offers an ability to scan and clean up old family photographs, maps, etc. Projects of that type that I saw during my visits to Zyt were all done remarkably well.
