Wonderful selection of fiber related tools and equipment. Betty, the owner has an amazing wealth of knowledge. I was lucky enough to take a weaving class with Betty. She is a rock star! What a fantastic instructor. The staff is always willing to answer questions. You feel welcomed when you walk into the shop. The shop is adorable, and the displays showcasing new products change frequently. There is always something new to see. If you are interested in fiber arts– spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting, The Spinnery is THE place to visit.

I love this shop! I am currently taking the 4 week introduction to spinning course which has been amazing. Betty is extremely knowledgeable and her teaching style is easy going and very hands on. You can’t get this kind of instruction from you tube videos! The shop is a great source for spinning, weaving, dying, knitting, and crochet supplies. The staff are very generous with their time and very warm and approachable. I travel over an hour each way to get to this shop and it is completely worth the trip. I have never found another yarn store that is like this one!

The Spinnery can fit into so many more categories than«shopping» and«knitting supplies». It offers classes in spinning, dyeing, knitting and weaving. As well as the equipment and supplies needed to do each of these crafts. This is a quaint shop in a historic river town in a rural part of NJ(yes NJ does have rural areas…). The general atmosphere is very relaxed yet fine. The owner and staff are very knowledgeable and really want to share their passion for fiber arts. I had the pleasure of taking a spinning class here. While I do not get to practice what I learned as much as I would like, I know that they will always be there to help me remember. The Spinnery sells some unique knitting kits that they create and assemble themselves. Also photos of sheep!
