AMC Fresh Meadows 7

I really enjoy going here, as a stubs reward member I receive all the perks of being a movie buff. Well the way I do it is I go to the movie early morning. The tickets are about 9 dollars then unless it’s 3D, but even then under 13 bucks. It has a free refill, and in the spring/​summer there’s a hot dog guy in the parking lot. There’s is 5 bucks. Staff always pleasant. The only time I visit any other amc is in Lincoln plaza for IMAX.

Saw Star Wars. Had a good overall experience.
Parking: Plenty. Free lot behind theater.
Staff: Friendly. The folks working concession were especially nice and helpful. Let my wife layer the butter in her popcorn. Also made a good cup of coffee.
Theater and Seats: Older version of the «recliner» movie theater seats. Automatic reclining though was really nice. Also, the armrest between my wife and I went up, so we could cuddle and watch. Theater was good. We were in the back, and those are the best seats. The ones up front look like neckbreakers.
Big beef with Fandango.
1) They didn’t list it as a 3-​D movie in the title, as they do at most other theaters. Instead, they left it unmarked aside from a small icon by the showtimes.
2) We didn’t want to see a 3-​D movie, so we tried to get the tickets changed. Fandango’s 800# is an endless maze of hold menus and button pushing, and after nearly 17 minutes, I just hung up and we went to see it in 3-​D. It was a good time despite Fandango.
A couple negatives:
1) The theater lobby and seating area could be cleaned a little more frequently. There was popcorn and candy on the floor in numerous places.
2) There were nearly 26 minutes of previews, infomercials, and theater «etiquette» videos. We sat down 15 minutes before the show started, and we ended up waiting 35 minutes for the movie to start.
I’d definitely go back though. Good experience.

Hands off after coming here several times, going to any other theater just wouldn’t be the same.
I love how the seats are so comfortable and you can chose where you sit. Yes the tickets a bit more pricey but you get what you pay for. Enough said.
Would I recommend it to my friends? I’d be doing them a favor.

Compared to all the crappy theaters we have in NYC, this is clearly the best one to go to. Here’s simply why: RECLINING SEATS.
You can always buy your tickets the day before or day of a little ahead of time when you plan on watching a movie and then you can reserve which seats you want. Saves you the hassle of finding seats and secures you a good spot. The chairs are super comfortable, you get to completely lay back with your legs out… It’ll make you never want to go to any of the other regular disgusting theaters in NY.
Con: I just wish and hope that with such nice comfy seats and that this place is starting to get discovered more and more, that they just keep up with maintaining these seats to be clean from popcorn oil and god knows what other substance some of these public-​affectionate couples possibly leaves.

It saddens me that this is 1 of the very few newly rennovated AMC theatre in my borough. I have to set the record straight here.
I’ve visited many newly renovated AMC theatres and this is my least favorite. If you’re going to renovate, atleast occupy a bigger space. The assigned seating and way in which tickets are purchased here is a joke because the theatre rooms are about the size of my living room. If you don’t purchase a day before première day, you can just set your heart on going elsewhere. Tickets sell out in the blink of an eye.
I visited the old AMC theatre before it was renovated and had complaints then as well. If you didn’t buy your ticket hours ahead of time, you could forget getting a seat for a show. It’s a joke and I don’t have to settle for it. I just don’t see the point in going here. I’d rather pay for the Gas and drive to Long Island or Astoria where I have more space and am guaranteed a seat of my choice.

My go-​to local theater when I am patient enough to wait a couple of weeks to watch a hot movie and/​or lazy enough to only go when I have purchased a reserved seat so that I can show up JUST in time for the start of the movie and not get there early to buy tickets and or get there early to guarantee myself a decent seat. (Okay, that was a looong sentence but I’m too lazy right now to edit)
The screens are decent and the recliners a big plus (although they’ve gotten a little worn since the theater first opened). I’m not really one to hit up the concessions so can’t comment on that. I can say that the greeter who was there last night was a very pleasant and friendly guy who was just as nice when we left as when we were entering. Upkeep is not bad although sometimes there is stuff left behind from previous moviegoers that isn’t thoroughly picked up after.
Parking is available close by, in the huge lot that is shared by all the other stores in this strip of stores, theater, and restaurants. Easily accessible from the L.I.E. or 188^th Street.

Love this business class seating theatre experience. Nothing beats being horizontal!
The sound is superb, picture is big. Definitely, you would want to sit a few rows back and not up front in the first row.

Reserved seating is the highlight, which I personally really like. I don’t have to worry about going extra early to get good seats. Then again, people may have reserved seats in ways that make odd seating pairs. There’s always a pro and con to everything. But I think the reserved seating is time-​efficient, straight forward and could prevent potential conflicts in cinemas.
It’s on the cleaner side of cinemas. It has reclining seats that are really comfortable! It has a wide range of films and a variety of times. However, when a film is available in both 3D and 2D, there is a very limited number of 2D showings. There was an average of 10 showings for the 3D version of Star Wars per day, but only 2 – 4 showings of the 2D version at relatively inconvenient times throughout the day.

As always this theater never disappointed me. My rating to this theater still stands for five stars. The new thing I have learned for tonight’s visit, their convenient ticket stub machine could print ahead of time your reserved purchased even it is for future visit.

Finally came back to this AMC after its revamped look and it is awesome! The first and last time I was in this theater was for the movie Rocky Balboa on Christmas Day. The theater was terrible back then. It was raggedy and beaten up. I came back last Tuesday with my cousin to watch Spectre and I must say, aside from the spacious lounge style seating, even the concession stand was pretty nice. They have free refills at their soda dispensers and self serve butter for your popcorn.
The only thing I recommend doing before you sit down, I would bring some disinfectant wipes and give your seats a thorough wipe. Our seats had some greasy oily spots probably due to some spilled popcorn from the previous shows. This is easily my new favorite theater. There’s also a deal at the concession stand for 2 large drinks and a large popcorn that comes with 1 free refill for $ 20. As for the movie Spectre, I liked Skyfall better. It was cool seeing Batista as a henchman. The pickup lines for 007 were cheesier than ever in this Bond flick. If you haven’t been to this AMC yet, you better because the seating here is so comfortable and roomy.

THE SEATS!!! I have been spoiled! I will never go to a regular movie theater ever again!!!

It’s also pretty chilly, pack a small blanket or wear your coat.

My all time favorite movie theatre and go to location. Been going here before the recliner seats ! Now because of the recliner seats there’s assigned seats (reserved seating), so I order my tickets a few days in advance to avoid having to sit all the way in the front and to avoid the long lines at the ticket box .
The prices of the tickets seems as if they go up every year, right now it’s a whopping 16.99. The reclining seats are über comfortable and makes you feel as if you’re right at home.
This movie theatre is great for a date night, family, or friends outings. I love it here and will continue to come back.

In my opinion, probably one of the best movie theaters in Queens. if not THE best.
–Seats are pure heaven. Soft pleather, wide, and reclines almost flat
–For the most part, clean rooms. Cleanup crew in between movies do a good job
–HUGE free parking lot in the back
–Abundance of snack and drink options to choose from
–Close by to a bunch of food options to satisfy any before/​after food crave (Hooters, Applebees, 5 Guys, Qdoba, Starbucks, Red Mango, Halal cart).
My one issue. and this has happened to me every time for my last 3 movies there. I’ll buy a large popcorn. and once I get to the middle of the bag, it’s all tiny crumbs of popcorn, all the way to the bottom. That’s so annoying. Aside from that one complaint though, this movie theater is awesome!

I was introduced to AMC Fresh Meadows by my fiancé, who swore that I would love this theater. I didn’t think much of it. I mean, a movie theater is a movie theater, how special can it be? Well, for the first time ever (or I’d like to think that it is the first time) he was right! Prior to visiting, I’ve never had a cinematic experience quite like this one. Typically, I’d be worrying that it’ll get too cold in the room, that I’d feel bed bugs, or most seats are being occupied by customers who sneak in to catch 3 flicks a day. Well, have no fear for AMC Fresh Meadows is here!
Bed bugs are less likely to hide in the red leather reclining chairs at this theater, which are also comfy as hell and allows you to watch a movie like a couch potato. The ability to reserve your tickets and seats in advance eliminates the need to arrive earlier because your seats are guaranteed to be there! They also have the usual popcorn and snacks sold in all theaters and touch-​screen vending machines! Really, what more can you ask for?

Wowwwww… This is my neighborhood movie theater and I love it I don’t care I’m going to keep coming here no matter how busy it is. Don’t feel like traveling miles and miles just for a movie that’s always as expensive. I don’t have it like that. Just know when you buy a ticket it also asks you what seats you want to reserved. Don’t even think about switching seats, someone I’ll always show up and claim it.
The workers are a little rude, that’s why I won’t real give this place a 5 star. The theater is pretty clean though. It can get dirty by the concession stand. Always buy ahead online because things really get packed here.
Ugh the seats are the best part, you can just cuddle up with you boo or you know buy some food and stuff your face.
This location has bomb a** food, esp the mozzarella sticks. Oh and how many different soda fountain flavors do they have?! I lost count.
Will always come back here.

Definitely the best movie theater in the area, but that’s not saying much since the other ones are straight up mediocre, filthy and ridden with high school loiters.
The prices have gone up over the past few years, but it was necessary in order for them to get their act together and actually get people to want to spend quality time in this place.
A lot more organized than it used to be. Looks clean compared to what it was before. lol
–The best upgrade were the seats. The second best upgrade was that soda machine.
Bathrooms are still gross as hell.
Definitely busier than it has been in the past decade.
Buying tickets has become a pain in the ass because it’s online. Yes, that actually sucks when it comes to this place. They have a service fee that adds up. You get to pick your seat, but good luck, because chances are that the seat you want is already taken.

Wow! Went to see a movie with a friend. My friend had bought the tickets beforehand and walking in was so quick and easy. This is not my first time at this theater however it has been a VERY long time since i’ve seen a movie in a theater.
I was very impressed. The tickets were a little pricey but the experience was great. I’m not one for buying food and drink there so I can’t tell you how that is.
The theaters are large and spacious. The red, comfy reclining seats made the experience so much more comfortable.
Usually i dislike movie theaters because they’re dirty and disgusting however It was more than adequate. For movie theater standards it was very clean. No garbage on the floor or shoes that stick to the ground. Big plus for me.
All in all, sound was great, picture was great and seats were great. As for any movie theater, bring a sweater :)

Came here to see Straight Outta Compton on a Thursday night. I bought the tickets for my friends and I on the website first just because I hate lines and I’m always running late. You pick your own seats online too which is cool.
Now we all know that this movie theater is more expensive than the others because of the reclining seats. You come here mainly for the reclining seats; You can see a movie anywhere. Of course I get ²⁄₃ seats that do not recline.
After 10 minutes of pressing, stabbing, and pulling at the chair, I go to find a staff member to tell him the deal and he says, «Oh the seat is probably not turned on. Someone is coming to help you.» I didn’t say it aloud but I’m thinking: Well it is 8:30pm, I bought the tickets and chose seats 3 hours ago, was 10 minutes late, and my seat is still not turned on? Whatever…
The guy came to help and I showed him our seats. He said that he would have to flip the chair over to fix it and he couldn’t because the movie just started. I was definitely disappointed because I wasted time trying, thinking it was stuck but he told us to come after the movie because management would have something for us.
They ended up giving us two free movie passes to use at any AMC theater.
Moral of the Story: Go early just in case your chair doesn’t recline because they won’t be able to fix it after the movie is on.

The lines are always so damn long and they are so slow. Also if you ever call the theater no one ever answers. Although the napkin/​butter area is always clean. The theaters not so much. Cleanliness is very important.

This movie theater is alright. It can be much cleaner. The bathrooms smells very funny. The food is pricey, the counters are always dirty when I come here .
The seats inside the theaters are cool. They recline like they are suppose too. I havent seen any nasty thing in between the seats so thats a plus. Movie tickets are expensive ! $ 15 for a ticket is crazy. If that the case I would just go watch an IMAX movie. Thats why I only come here every once in a while.
