Yes, it is Baskins Robbins and yes, it is in the same building as Dunkin Donuts. I know, it sounds like a recipe for disaster already, but keep in mind that this BR is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Where else can you find a pretty decent selection of ice cream at 4 am in the morning, all within walking distance to St. John’s University? I thought not. With that being said, I don’t think the ice cream here is fantastic, but it is pretty good and meets my not-so-picky ice cream expectations. They do let you sample, but the guy who was helping me was giving me these ridiculously small scoops with the sample spoon. It was a wonder how he expected me to taste the flavor of ice cream like that. But anyways, not relevant. Wish they would also tone down on the artificial colors too, I’ve literally never seen so much color in an ice cream display as I do in BR. They probably dump that shit in, but if I wanted that much color, I would have bought my own bottle of the coloring and drank it on its own. Nooooo thanks. Oh, by the way, 1 small scoop was a lil over $ 3.50. Eh, better than cold stone pricing.

I had a particularly BAD experience here during which an employee stuck a DEADFLY on top of my ice cream, which was conveniently hidden under the chocolate on top. He did it because I had to ask him to WASHHISHANDS after cleaning off a nasty table BEFORESERVINGME, which he did oblige(should have occurred to him to do it before asking for my order), but apparently I irritated him. These guys are a bunch of dopes. Got my money back. Don’t go here.

Open 24⁄7 there is a cutie sometimes working part time, and you’ll sometimes won’t get seats because there are so many students there. Sometimes they have free ice cream on special days, I forget when it is… lol.

the only reason this place is soo successful is bc of St john’s students. There is always a line. the workers there are nice.

I bought an ice cream cake from here. It was very standard. You pay about the same as if you bought it from the grocery store if that store carries these, but the selections are greater and they will write your friend’s name on it. This is a nice standard Baskin/Robbins. It is known to be frequented mostly for the Dunkin Donuts that it shares the space with.
