Here it goes my honest opinion about this place when fresh farmers opened up I was extremely ecstatic that there was going to be a new place to do grocery shopping whoever was the original owner of the sushi was making incredible delicious rolls they were cheap and delicious at the same time you got perfect amount of fish was perfectly cooked rice but then somewhere there was a new ownership or something changed and the person who was making the sushi was not the same quality. Mushy rice and they were barely putting any fish inside the role whoever was the first original sushi maker made some incredible roles. I would literally be in there 3 to 4 times a week purchasing 4 or 5 boxes of the sushi and then there was a new person who I don’t know if he’s trying to cut costs but they triple the price of the actual sushi and decreased the actual taste which is disgusting. I often go there just to get a simple role and to this day I am on unsatisfied. recently I decided to give them another chance so I requested a simple tuna with avocado roll it was horrifically was handed to me 95% overcooked rice barely any fish. the taste was completely off not sure if he was even fresh I am really disappointed. I really enjoyed the primary person delicious I hope the owners read this and try to change the person who’s screwing up on the rules cuz i quite honesty do miss the original rolls. they tasted way better it just feels like a complete rip off to pay $ 6.50. other than that the store is interesting they have a lot of variety of products their meat selection isn’t as advanced as I’d like it to be on the butcher doesn’t speak much English but overall its a good store just needs better management I also find it weird when I saw the bread molding over there perhaps they need to hire better staff that looks after the store but my main concern is the decreased quality of sushu it was something that they had really going for them. Unfortunately it didnt stay that way.

Rickshaw House Sushi is located within Farmers Fresh Depot, so I usually will pick up sushi while grocery shopping. They will make the rolls fresh for you while you’re shopping, or you can grab some made that day from the case. I recommend getting them made, even if you have to wait a little bit because they taste much better.
They have a buy two rolls, get one free which is really nice and if you’re a St. John’s student and show your ID you get an additional 10% off.
I’ve enjoyed pretty much every roll I’ve gotten from them, but I recommend not to get too many rolls with spicy tuna in them at the same time because of the consistency of the tuna (it’s almost mashed or something).
Overall a good, cheap option.
